Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 150: Do I have to be the Sacrificer?!!
Celestia’s POV:
I stood still in the cold dungeon for a few minutes without even moving my muscles slightly. Eternal sacrifice?!!!
When I was able to move my muscles again, I sat down on the cold surface and recalled what I read about the term ’Eternal sacrifice’ in the manuscripts.
That is the noblest sacrifice out of all! The sacrificer has to step into the Holy Fire and offer his life as a penance to the sins committed by everyone else in the realm.
This kind of sacrifice always pleases the Almighty so much that he forgives the sins of everyone and gives absolution to the people.
Father Oberon said that it is the only way to redeem the side of light! So I have to be the sacrificer? Or else the side of the light will diminish!
Now I understand why my father said that I wouldn’t fulfill my purpose in this birth. It means that I would have to sacrifice myself and get reincarnated again! Only in my next birth will I be able to accomplish my purpose.

I didn’t know if it was sunrise or sunset when my warrior friends and Darius came to visit me as I was in the dungeon that didn’t have a single window.
"Celestial, are you okay?" Darius asked me. I got up from the floor immediately and faced my friends.
"I am fine! You all don’t have to worry about me," I assured them.
Laris moved closer to me, and he was glaring at me oddly. He paced around me and scanned me completely. What is wrong with him?
"You don’t look much different," Laris commented. "Can you please show me your fangs?"
Even though I was depressed, I began to laugh out when Laris asked me that question.
"Celestial, please sink your fangs on his neck and fulfill his wish," Vivian said and made me laugh even more than before. For a moment, I was free from all my sorrows.
Ember got closer to me, and she touched my fingers. "Your nails don’t look much different too. But they look sharp." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Okay, now everyone, please stop examining her!" Darius shouted at them. Then they all fell silent after that.
"Celestial, now tell me what is going to happen with you? Are you going to resume being a Fae warrior?"
I shook my head immediately and said," I don’t think that I can because I have to become the sacrificer!"
They all were frozen like I was a while ago. Once they came back to their senses, I slowly explained everything to them clearly. After I was done with my justification, they all went mute.
Everyone, including Laris, got bleak. It was so strange to see Laris in distress as his spirit never breaks down, no matter how difficult the circumstance around him gets.
"No, Celestia! I don’t approve of this either," Darius said firmly. "You are not going to sacrifice yourself!"
"But this is for everyone’s welfare," I asserted.
"But you will have to die!" He said and began to cry.
"Celestia, we don’t want to lose you," Ember confessed.
Laris knelt on the floor before me and bowed his head. "Please change your mind, Celestia! You say that if you sacrifice yourself, then the force of light redeems. Still, it is a great loss to all of us if you die! So, please change your mind."
They are acting like kids here! Despite knowing the seriousness of the circumstances, they are holding me back. I understood that they are doing it out of love! I should convince them.
"My friends, I will be reborn again. And when I come back, I will be a lot stronger than I am now. The side of the light will get even stronger! We all will reunite as warriors and slay everyone who threatens to destroy our realm. Do you all understand?"
After that, they all stopped arguing with me. Maybe they have finally decided to acknowledge my decision.
Laris, who was kneeling in front of me, got back to his feet and faced me. "Dawn, I take back what I said. I won’t be standing in your way!"
Why is he addressing me as Dawn? He always calls me by my name.
"My biggest honor is that you are my friend! But you are not just my friend. You are also the Dawn, and you belong to everyone in this realm. So I don’t have any right to stand in your way," Laris said while he was weeping. "I hope that you get back to us soon!"
Soon I started crying too! "Laris, why are you making me cry? You are supposed to make others laugh!"
Then the rest of them started to cry along with us. I bet that this is the first time Darius is sobbing in front of other people. He always stays tough in front of others.
For an extended period, we all stood there and kept on sobbing until Father Oberon arrived at the spot. He was surprised to see all of our faces.
"What on Aiden’s name is going on here?" he questioned us.
None of them replied to him. I didn’t have the strength to speak as I kept crying. But my father understood by my manner that I had made my decision.
"No, my child," he shrieked out. "I forbid you from doing this!"
I controlled my sobbing a little and said, "But father, you won’t be able to forbid me because I am not just your daughter! I am also the Dawn. And I hope that you will fulfill your duties as the King of the Celestial realm and let me do this!"
As I said that, even I was amazed by myself. I have never been this determined about anything in my life.
Father Oberon didn’t argue with me after that. He just beamed at me and said, "I am so proud of you, my child! I always had faith in you, even when you were drifting in the side of darkness."
He then placed his hand on the top of my head and declared," By your sacrifice, the side of the light will be redeemed entirely. And you will be reborn after a thousand years and emerge as an invincible Angel warrior!"
