Chapter 127: The Partial King....

Celestia’s POV:

My father struggled to speak after that. "How...can.... How can.... you say such a thing about me?"

For the first time in my life, I smirked at my father. And I didn’t feel guilty about it because I have lost all the respect I had for him.

I casually stood before him while I traced my nails over the chain that was binding my wrists. Dead rock chains might be destructive, but they look glossy and smooth to touch.

"Celestia! You know that I face my enemies on the battlefield directly and defeat them. It is not my way to sabotage my opponents with tricks and shortcuts," he defended himself.

"Are you serious?" I chuckled out. "Right now, you have your enemy imprisoned in the dungeon below, and you have tied him up with a dead rock chain. You just proved to me that you are a double-faced hypocrite!"

"Celestia," he shouted out loud in rage. Soon the color Scarlet flushed in his face as he got furious.

The old me would have flinched at his rage. But now, I watched him quietly as he tightened one of his fists. I am not scared of him anymore. What more can he do to me? Is he going to wrap another dead rock chain on my torso as he had done to Theo?

No matter what he does to me, I won’t stop telling the truth to his face! Ironically, my father was the one who taught me that it is always good to speak the truth no matter how hard the circumstances get.

"I had to go against my principles for your sake, Celestia," he roared out. "Silver Shadow was using you as his slave to fulfill his needs. Do you know how much it kills me to see my beloved daughter getting played by a trickster?"

He is spilling out more and more lies! I am not lame anymore to fall for his sentimental words. Once you know that a person is deceiving you, then you stop believing them completely.

A few seconds later, his rage lessened a little. In a slightly hoarse voice, he continued to accuse Theo. "Do you have any idea why he holds on to you firmly? Because he knows how important you are to me. He wants to get back at me for something that is not even my fault!"

I was only able to laugh after I heard what he said. "Father, so far, you have lied to my face. But what you said now was a good one! You managed to make me laugh even in a tense situation like this."

I tried to suppress my laughter a little. My father waited until I was done and continued his justification. "Tell me the lie that he told you about me?"

"Stop it, Father. I know how unfair you were to the Siren girl Sapphire. Her Fae lover betrayed her, but you never gave justice to her just because she was a Siren! She died alone in the forest of light right after she gave birth to her son. How can you be this heartless? Now you are shamelessly defending yourself to me?"

His jaw dropped as he heard me out. Perhaps he is in shock that he has been exposed. My father took a long time to speak out again.

"Did that gifted Siren girl tell you about this?" He asked me.

I blinked at him in shock. How did he know that she was the one who told me this?

"It was her, wasn’t it?" 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

I nodded slowly. He snickered a little and said, "That is why Celestia, you can never trust a gifted Siren! They are thousand times more dangerous than the normal ones."

"You are wrong! She was the only Siren girl who was friendly to me. The rest of them didn’t treat me well."

"Because that is what the gifted Sirens do! Normal Sirens kill their opponents with weapons and charms, but a gifted Siren uses kindness as a weapon. They allure their opponents with honey-sweet words! Then they make you believe that the illusions around you are the facts. Do you know that they are even capable of altering the reality around you?"

What is he saying? The gifted Sirens are powerful enchantresses. But I don’t believe that Amelia deceived me. Whatever she said sounded true. And she took very good care of Tangerine.

"It’s no wonder why you are refusing to believe my words. That evil Siren girl has exploited you!"

I didn’t know if I should argue with him anymore or not. I got extremely confused. What if my father is right? No! He can’t be right.

"Still, I can’t trust you, Father. You are no saint either. You are a Partial King who never gave justice to an innocent girl Sapphire."

"Celestia, for the last time, Sapphire was a gifted Siren. She was the one who seduced the helpless Fae and forced him to mate with her. In the end, she tried to pin all the blame on the Fae."

I was lost after that. Amelia told me an entirely different story than this. Now my father is telling me another one. Deep down, I believe that whatever Amelia told me was the truth.

Why would a Siren girl manipulate a Fae to mate with him and carry his child? Sapphire was aware that she would be dead if she gave birth to an offspring. No one would willingly make a mistake if their life depended on it.

There is no use in arguing with my father anymore. No matter what I say, he would come up with an illogical explanation and accuse all the Sirens.

"Just think about everything that I have told you now, Celestia. And sometimes, I am partial towards the Faes because they are the noblest and righteous light creatures. We are the direct descendants of the Angels! No other entity in this realm is pure like us. This is the truth, and I hope that you understand it."

Did he just agree that he is a Partial King?
