Chapter 126: Dead Rock Chain...

Celestia’s POV:

"Celestia, are you really going to attack us?" Ember asked me. "We are your friends!"

"No, you are not my friends," I shouted and let my palms glitter with flames. "I am giving you all a final chance. Step out of my way or get ready to face my wrath!"

Still, no one responded to me. Why are they not scared? Do they want to be burned down by my flames? My first target was Edwin. When I fixed my stare at him, he fearlessly stared back at me.

Even before I could strike, an iron chain appeared out of nowhere and bound my hands together. I struggled to break free from the chain, but I wasn’t able to do it.

The chain was restraining my wrists rigidly. I tried to bring out my flames so that the chains would melt down, but I couldn’t feel my powers. Are these cuffs also repressing my powers?

"You can’t break free from those chains, Celestia," I heard Darius say. I looked to my side immediately and saw him beaming at me.

"It would be for the best if you stop trying and acknowledge the defeat."

Why are these iron chains so strong? I stopped moving my hands and studied the chain. I noticed that they are not iron chains! Iron doesn’t glitter this way. This chain is made up of dead rocks!

The dead rocks are greyish in color, and they also glitter a little. They are rare kinds of rocks that are found in the Highlands alone. These rocks suppress the flow of energy entirely whenever it comes in contact with energy being like Fae or any other entity.

Had my father made these chains from the Dead rocks? But he made a law that the dead rocks should not be used to hurt other entities. He broke his own rule and made chains out of it? This is so cruel!

Theo must be tied up with dead rock chains too. That is why he is not able to free himself. What am I going to do now?

I looked at Darius and said, "Fine! I accept defeat. Now please release me."

"I am sorry, Celestia. I am afraid that I won’t be able to release you because you can’t afford to make any more mistakes. You have to understand that I am doing this for your own good."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Darius pushed me back into my room and sealed the door shut. I tried my best to change his mind, but his mind was already fixed on this.
These cuffs are very uncomfortable. I wasn’t even able to move my hands freely. Every time I tried to feel my powers, they got repressed instantly. This is how it must feel when you have no powers.
I laid down on my bed and thought about Theo. I was his last hope, and I let him down! Now no one can save him. This is my fault.
Theo told me in my vision to bring the Lowlands warriors here to rescue him. I should have created a portal and reached the Emerald castle.
If I had informed Queen Cynthia about it, then she would have gathered the troops and reached the Highlands. Theo told me to do that! Instead of that, I tried to fix this by myself. Now I got caught too!
Slowly, I comprehended that Darius and my father staged this whole thing flawlessly. They both manipulated me with their sweet and caring words! And I fell for it foolishly.
I should have trusted Theo when he said that Darius and Father Oberon are our biggest opponents. He warned me more than a hundred times about them.
But I didn’t listen to him. I thought my father would never hurt me! This is a betrayal of the faith that I had in him.
Tomorrow if something happens to either one of us, then there is no one to blame for that except me. My gullibility is going to be the biggest reason for my downfall.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It is not very easy to even hold a glass of water when your wrists are restrained. Theo must be suffering even more than me. His upper body was wrapped around with these chains!

I wondered if they were giving him anything to eat and drink. Soon after I finished eating the food with much difficulty, the door of my room opened, and my father got in.

How does he even have the courage to appear in front of me after what he did? I didn’t greet him or acknowledge his presence when he came closer to me.

"My child, you must be furious at me now, but I am doing this for your own good. I am obligated to imprison you because I have no other way than this to protect you."

I didn’t even look at him while he was saying those awful things to me. I looked at an eight-legged insect that was crawling in the ceiling above me.

"Don’t ignore me, Celestia! You know that I am not your enemy," he tried to defend himself to me.

"Yea, you are my enemy," I shouted out at him. "You are even worse than Lilin. At least I know that they are capable of evil. You are a double-faced person! Silver Shadow warned me about you. But I didn’t listen."

He gazed down at me mercifully. " Stop blaming me without knowing the truth. You can’t forever be in an illusion like this. Try to accept the fact that Silver Shadow is a trickster."

This is getting worse now! It is already bad that I am imprisoned here. On top of that, I need to hear the words of wisdom from my hypocritical father too?!!!!

"You are the biggest trickster here," I cried out. " First, you tell me that Silver Shadow reunited with Lilin. Now I find out that you are the one who captured Silver Shadow! It looks to me like you are trying to sabotage him as he is gaining more support than you in the lands. "
