Chapter 110: Answering on his behalf

Celestia’s POV:

I stepped on the castle gardens, and my eyes were searching for Theo. The afternoon sun was burning the lands. Southern lands are the warmest region in the whole realm. They say that it seldom rains here, and when it does, it never stops for days.

Once, it rained continually for almost a month, and the whole region was submerged in the waters. Father Oberon had to manipulate the weather to stop the rain.

But today, the weather was highly scorching. I am not used to this humid climate. I grew up in the chill climatic conditions of mountains.

I wish that Holy Aiden would show some mercy on this land and lower his flames. Unfortunately, I was wearing a long gown today, and right now, they were drenched in my own sweat.

I spotted Theo wandering around near the lilac shrubs. Why does he have to be under this blazing sun? His skin was glittering white like a pearl under the sunlight.

"Theo," I called out and moved closer to him. "What are you doing out here?"

He didn’t even turn to me when I called him out. He seemed to be highly tense. Maybe he is still upset with me.

"Theo, I am sorry about what happened earlier. I didn’t really mean to hurt you," I said to him.

But he still wasn’t looking at me. His gaze was fixed down on the tiny lilac flowers that were on shrubs in front of him.

"I know that you are upset about losing the Selene kingdom to Lilin. And I should have been more understanding-"

Suddenly, he pulled me nearer to him and smacked my lips with his. His unexpected gesture surprised me. For a while, he didn’t let me talk.

His lips kept on parting mine, and he sent me tides of excitement throughout my body. I don’t think that he is tense anymore. For a moment, I forgot that I was standing under the blazing hot sun.

I mimicked what his lips did to mine and kissed him back. But he tasted like firewater! I immediately moved away from him.

"Theo, have you been drinking?"

He shook his head and denied. Then he placed his hand on my face and tried to kiss me again, but I pushed him away from me.

"Can you please tell me what is going on here? Why are you drunk at this time and standing out in this hot sun?"

"My sweetness, please don’t hate me. I promise that I will change," he said and put his arms around my waist.

What is he trying to say? And when did I say that I hated him? Perhaps he is just high on firewater!

" Theo, I love you. Why do you think that I would hate you?"

"Then promise me, Celestia. Promise me that you will never hate me no matter what happens in the future."

So he is worried about the vision that Cynthia saw! But just yesterday, he was so confident that he could change the fates. Now, why is he suddenly worried? Or the firewater is making him think that way!

I gave him a quick peck on his cheek and said," I would never be able to hate you, Theo. I forever belong to you! Did you forget about that?"

"Yes, you do. You are mine! You are mine forever," he said and kissed my forehead.

He is not in his right mind. I should take him back inside and make him take a rest. I touched his sturdy shoulders and said, " Come on! Let’s go inside now. And this sun is making your skin glitter like silver!",

"No," Theo shouted out immediately. " Sun is good for me! I want to stand under the sun! And I want you to be here with me."

Oh my goodness! This firewater makes Theo become the opposite version of himself. He is a devotee of the Moon goddess, and now he wants to be under the sun?!!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Theo refused to get back to the castle, and he never let me leave too. So I dragged him to the shade of the giant ruby berry tree. It was such a relief not to be under the sun again.
Why is Theo insisting on staying here? I sat down under the tree and loosened up my gown strap a little. Soon my sweat from my gown slowly began to dry up.
Theo rested his head on my lap and closed his eyes. Finally, he is resting! I didn’t move even a little as I didn’t want to disturb his slumber.
I recalled that his eyes weren’t murky red today. They were sea green and normal! But why was it different this morning? Or maybe his eyes were never red. It could have been my imagination!
And after that, I am going to ban firewater from the Lowlands! It is a drink that makes people insane, and it should be prohibited.
Suddenly, the air around me turned into white mist, and Amelia appeared from it. Why is she here?
"Celestia," she squealed.
I shushed her immediately and whispered," Keep it down! He is sleeping." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
She smiled and knelt beside me. " Why hasn’t Theo replied to King Oberon’s message yet?" She asked me in a very shallow tone.
"He was busy with something else," I responded in a whisper.
"Theo needs to send a response back to Oberon now. Or else he is going to assume that Theo declined his offer."
But he is sleeping now! He is still not in his right mind, so I don’t want to wake him up. But there is nothing here for Theo to decide because he has to unite with my father in order to defeat Lilin!
"Just write a scroll back to my father that Theo is ready to unite with him," I instructed her.
"But you haven’t asked his opinion yet," Amelia crossed me.
"I am answering to you on his behalf! And uniting with King Oberon is the only way we can stop Lilin."
Amelia blinked at me for a while and said, " Are you sure about it?"
I nodded immediately. Why is she hesitating? She then got up from the ground and waved me goodbye before she disappeared into the white mist again!
