Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 107: The Legend of the Anti-Angels

Celestia’s POV:

I half-heartedly got back into the artifacts room. Cynthia gave me a smirk when she noticed me, and then she continued to read her grimoire. I still don’t feel very comfortable facing her again.

But as Theo said, this is not the time to fight. Something terrible is going to happen in the upcoming days, and it is not going to benefit anyone if I put up a fight with her. And Theo sees her as his mother, and I must respect her too!

"My suspicions have come true," Cynthia said while she had her gaze on Theo. "Lilin has got the powers of the Nephilim now."

Even Theo trembled after he heard that. I was stunned to my bones.

"You are not serious, are you?" Theo asked her in a shaky voice.

Did I just sense panic in his tone? This is even more surprising than the fact that Lilin has got the powers of the Nephilim.

"I am sure about it," Cynthia responded. "When I battled with Lilin a while ago, I was able to sense something very obscure in her. I have never felt that much darkness in any other demonic entity before. So it must be the Nephilim!"

Cynthia is a gifted Siren, and she can sense others’ energies. So her justification must be true!

"But the five Nephilim are not even in their physical form anymore. Their spirits are now trapped down in the abyss of torment. How could Lilin have gotten their powers?" Theo almost screamed out.

"I have no idea about it either," the Siren Queen sighed.

The five Nephilim were the Angels of light during the creation era. But after the end of the creation era, the five Nephilim angels rebelled against the rest of the light creatures.

They voluntarily walked into the dark side and began to serve the Demon Lord. Hence they became the anti-angels and began to conspire against the light forces.

Ten thousand years ago, all the light creatures from the Celestial and spirit realm battled with the Nephilim clan and subdued them. But unfortunately, the Nephilim can’t be destroyed as they are eternal beings.

So the light creatures used their power and made the five Nephilim anti-angels lose their physical form. Then they trapped their souls down in the deep abyss of torment.

It is said that the Nephilim completely consumes anyone who enters into the abyss of torment. That is the reason why no one was able to come out of the abyss of torment alive. And the demonic creatures are not an exception! Even they get entirely consumed by the Nephilim.

It is very startling to know that the Lilin has gotten their powers! But she is not the first one to obtain it. In the past, a couple of demonic entities have gotten into the abyss of torment, and they managed to impress the Nephilim clan. The Nephilim had rewarded them with boundless powers.

So Lilin must have done the same! But she is not that strong. How did she manage to impress the Nephilim?

I was still in the artifacts room even after the rest of them left. Theo and Cynthia went out of the room, and they kept discussing something secretly without including me in it. I choose not to follow them outside because I know when I am ignored.

Still, I wouldn’t say I liked the way Cynthia was treating me. But I have to be quiet for the sake of Theo. I flipped through the grimoire pages and tried to find out the page which Cynthia was reading a while ago. It is better to read and find out about this by myself instead of asking her or Theo.

I stopped flipping the pages when I spotted the title about the powers of Nephilim. It said that the Nephilim are capable of absorbing the powers of their opponents during the battle, and they can even manipulate them.

What?!!! So could Lilin be able to absorb powers? I recalled what Arcadia said about Lilin a while ago. He said that she was able to knock him out even before the battle began.

So Lilin can absorb the powers of her opponents. But what will happen when I come face to face in a battle with Lilin. If she absorbs my abilities, everyone will be doomed.

I wasn’t able to think of a way in which we could defeat Lilin. I wondered how the light creatures subdued the Nephilim ten thousand years ago.

I jolted up straight when I heard a screeching noise in the room. Tangerine appeared in front of me on the table. I was so happy to see her! She was such a soothing sight to the sour eyes. But what is she doing here?

I noticed that she had a scroll tied to her claws. I got excited when I saw that. It is a message from the highlands. My father has sent me a message!

I immediately took out the scroll from her claw. It better be not another one of my father’s harsh letters to me. I have already had enough of it!

It was a very short letter without many words in it.

’I request the King of the Lowlands for a Union. Our common enemy is strong, and it is impossible to defeat our opponent if we are not together.’

This is amazing! My father wants to join hands with Theo. This is a dream come true for me!

"Thank you so much for bringing the message here, Tangerine," I said and patted her wings gently. "Now leave before Lord Arcadia sees you here. He is a stone-hearted person and doesn’t like having adorable creatures like you here!"

Tangerine flew to me, and she gave me a quick peck on my cheek with her beak. After that, she disappeared in thin air.

I felt like she was not sad that she had to leave me. Perhaps she has gotten too attached to Amelia. Same way, Theo is bonding with Cynthia instead of me. This is sad!

Why do the Siren girls snatch away the people I love from me?

I had no idea where Theo and Cynthia were in the castle. I clutched my father’s scroll in my hand and wandered around the castle hopelessly.

Why is Theo avoiding me? He never leaves my side and never wanders away. I know that Cynthia is here, and he respects her so much, but I have a feeling that he is up to something.

He does not include me in his discussion because he doesn’t want me to know something! I am not going to let him get away with it. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Just two days ago, when we made love, he told me that he was my slave. But now he is acting like a mean King! It has been a while since I have known Theo, but I cannot understand him completely. He is still a mystery to me!

One of the friendly white witches in the castle told me that Theo and Cynthia are outside the court. I immediately rushed out to the grounds.

I didn’t feel so good when I reached the barren land that was on the backside of the castle. A few days ago, Theo and Darius engaged in a dreadful fight right here.

And he told me to stab Darius! I tried hard to forget everything that happened on this land, but being here again has made me recall all those incidents.

I spotted Theo and Cynthia standing next to the bell tower. They both were still arguing. I moved just a little closer to them and hid behind a pine cone tree immediately. Even though they were far away from me, their conversation was audible because both of them were shouting at the top of their voices.

"Theo, you used to be so wise before. Where have all your senses gone? You are turning dumb just like your lady love," Cynthia yelled at him.

I got offended again. I closed my eyes, took deep breaths, and I tried to calm myself down. Now is not the time!

"Can you please not speak ill of Celestia? She has done nothing except love me. And she is not at all influencing me into doing this," Theo defended himself.

I didn’t get what they were talking about. What is Theo going to do? Perhaps I should have come here earlier!

"Whatever! I am forbidding you from going to the Shadow realm alone. I know that Lilin was your former lover, but she is not the same old Lilin who taught you the dark arts."

What?!! Is Theo planning to go to the Shadow realm alone? That seems like the worst idea ever. She is filled up with the powers of Nephilim, and she is going to gobble Theo when she sees him!

"No, you can’t talk me out of this. I have to be in the Shadow Realm. It is so important that I face Lilin alone. Please understand me, Cynthia! Would you please not stop me from doing this?"

Cynthia was partly right. Theo has really gone dumb. I immediately walked out of my hiding and walked there. There is no way in Aiden’s name I will let him go!
