Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself-Chapter 97 - 107 You Don’t Know Shit
Chapter 97: Chapter 107 You Don’t Know Shit
"It’s nothing? He could leave your sister in a café and take another girl out, where would that leave your sister’s dignity? So, it seems that Mu kid really cares about that girl?"
"Not really, I don’t think my sister cares that much. Besides, I specifically asked her, and she said there’s nothing between her and Brother Mu. Maybe we’ve overthought it?" Lin Junyang said.
"You don’t know crap," Old Mr. Lin directly cussed, "I’m telling you, keep a close eye on that Mu kid. If anything goes wrong, I’ll transfer you back to the Guard Team in the Imperial City."
With that, he hung up the phone with a snap.
Lin Junyang looked up at the sky and howled, how could he possibly keep an eye on this? He didn’t want to return to the Guard Team in the Imperial City.
Old Mr. Lin hung up on Lin Junyang and then called Old Mr. Mu.
Old Mr. Mu was tending to flowers in the yard when a servant brought him the phone. Seeing it was Old Mr. Lin calling, he immediately beamed, "Hey, old chap, didn’t get enough defeat this morning? Planning to play a few rounds this afternoon?"
"Hey, mind your words, Old Man Mu. I just had an off day this morning, just an off day, you hear? Once I got enough rest at noon, let’s battle another 800 rounds this afternoon." Old Mr. Lin retorted stubbornly over the phone.
"800 rounds, 8,000 rounds, you’ll still lose," Old Mr. Mu replied even more arrogantly.
"Impossible, Old Man Mu. How about we make a bet? If I lose again, I’ll send my granddaughter to your Mu Family, as your granddaughter-in-law," Old Mr. Lin’s eyes twinkled as he proposed.
"Hey, old chap, didn’t we already agree long ago that your granddaughter’s set for my family? How can you use her as a bet? What kind of grandpa are you?" Speaking of Lin Ruonan, Old Mr. Mu was quite satisfied. That girl was particularly strong-willed from a young age, outstanding in the Guard Team, too. Among their generation, besides Mu Xingfeng, no other kid could match her accomplishments. The two families, being lifelong friends, had long agreed to matchmake the two kids.
But who could have thought these two kids would both be so aloof, never warming up to anyone. Trying to melt two ice blocks together wasn’t an easy task.
Old Mr. Mu was anxious for a great-grandchild, so much so that his hair turned white and then fell out from worry. He applied both hard and soft pressure on Mu Xingfeng but still got nowhere. Now, he barely saw Mu Xingfeng twice a year.
Old Mr. Lin sighed on the other end of the phone, "I don’t want to either. But you know, seeing the kids grow day by day, I’m anxious."
Old Mr. Mu sighed again, "You’re anxious, I’m even more anxious. Xingfeng is two years older than Ruonan. The Jiang Family kid in our compound was born the same year as Xingfeng and is two months younger. Their great-grandchild is almost old enough to run errands now. Sigh—"
"I say, Old Man Mu, stop sighing. How about this, when Xingfeng comes home for the New Year, we directly matchmake the two kids and get them engaged. They’re one in the south and the other in the north, meeting only a few times a year. If we let them develop freely, they’ll still be single when pigs fly." Old Mr. Lin urged. As long as Old Mr. Mu agreed, half the battle of getting the two kids together would be won.
"This... isn’t quite right, is it? In this day and age, are we still arranging marriages?"
