Follow the path of Dao from infancy-Chapter 928 - 187: Exterminate Buddha (Guaranteed)_3
Chapter 928 -187: Exterminate Buddha (Guaranteed)_3
High above, the wind howled, Li Hao’s hair whipped wildly in the air. His expression remained calm, and from the fingers of his hand, a streak of Sword Qi burst forth.
With a thunderous bang, the Immortal Guide cleaved a path, instantly shattering the Magic Array Barrier and obliterating the Saint Patterns on its surface.
The golden light appeared as though it had been torn open, revealing a crack, then receded like a tide, growing dim before restoring the clear and boundless sky once more.
But unlike before, the Law Barrier had vanished.
“How is this possible?!”
“Which Saint is this? Is it a Supreme Saint?”
Several Buddhist Semi-Saints were stunned by the sight, their faces betraying shock and dread.
When they finally saw the young man’s face clearly, they froze momentarily, followed by their pupils contracting as speechless astonishment overtook them.
This youth who once suppressed the Buddha Child on the battle stage—he had come back to their gates!
They had already heard of Li Hao achieving becoming a Saint at the Supreme Genius Battle, yet they hadn’t expected him to dare storm the Buddhist Holy Land so soon after becoming a New Saint, having just survived the Human Tribulation!
“Haotian, why have you come here?!”
A Semi-Saint rode a peacock into the air, exclaiming in furious shock.
“You know well enough; why bother asking?”
Li Hao’s figure drifted forward unhurriedly, his tone calm and indifferent, showing no anger toward these individuals.
From various peaks, more Semi-Saints ascended one after another, more than twenty in total, standing scattered in the void to block Li Hao’s path.
Li Hao had just returned from discussing the Dao at the Heaven and Earth Dojo, but the news of Buddha Venerate’s fall seemed yet to reach the Buddhist Holy Land. They were unaware of what had transpired within the dojo.
“This is our Buddhist Holy Land. Even if you previously held grudges against us, this act is overly offensive. Are you seeking a truly irreconcilable feud?”
The Semi-Saint riding a mighty lion roared in indignation. He had previously reprimanded Li Hao harshly during the battle for quotas, yet even back then, Li Hao’s combat strength rivaled that of a Semi-Saint, leaving him helpless against the youth.
“In days past, though I was not a Saint, all of you joined forces, yet I still suppressed you. Do you now presume to speak of life and death before me?”
Li Hao’s gaze remained indifferent; his words were steady and unhurried, yet left an impression of undeniable truth, sparking both fury and fear.
He flew forward directly, treating the numerous Buddhist Semi-Saints before him as mere air.
Watching Li Hao approach, the Semi-Saints who had tried to block him earlier began retreating one after another. Even the Demon Kings they rode showed profound fear in their eyes, growling softly but refusing to roar loudly, as though terrified of disturbing some unseen force.
From the surrounding peaks, many disciples with higher cultivation soared into the air, witnessing the scene with visible shock.
The ruthless figure who had once oppressed the Buddha Child within their Holy Land had returned, now as a Saint.
“Where is Master?”
“Buddha Venerate has gone to discuss the Dao and hasn’t returned yet. Did he not dare attend and used this chance to launch a sneak attack?”
Many disciples voiced their doubts, unaware that the Dao discussions in the Universe had already concluded. As a Saint, Li Hao’s travel speed far exceeded the information relay of intelligence networks.
Unless a Saint specifically delivered the news to the Buddhist sect, none would yet know.
Soon, Li Hao reached the skies above the Holy Land, gazing upon the grand and radiant Ten Thousand Buddha Hall.
This was the seat of the Buddha Venerate, where Bodhisattvas and Arhats gathered in abundance.
Normally, the Buddha Venerate would preach here.
Li Hao’s eyes swept over the scene, narrowing slightly before raising his hand, bringing forth a palm strike aimed directly at the hall.
“Not allowed!”
The Semi-Saints who had retreated to this place had nowhere left to retreat. Seeing Li Hao intent on obliterating the Ten Thousand Buddha Hall, they erupted in anger. Seven or eight Semi-Saints roared furiously and charged forward. Though they were keenly aware of the gap between themselves and a Saint, they were ready to risk their lives to block him—this was their Dao.
Li Hao, however, did not show anger toward them, responding only with merciless suppression.
Paths differ, and thus cannot conspire together.
Boom!
Above the heads of the seven or eight Semi-Saints, a sudden beam of Green Light radiated outward, blocking Li Hao’s palm strike.
These Semi-Saints, prepared for death, froze momentarily, then rejoiced—this was the Green Lamp Buddha!
The Green Lamp Buddha had returned!
Overcome with joy, they looked around eagerly, knowing this would drive Haotian away.
“So, you’re willing to show yourself?”
Li Hao regarded the Green Light with no surprise, smiling faintly. “I half-expected you to launch a sneak attack; it seems you chose instead to defend the Kasaya and Buddha Hall.”
A wave of Green Light rippled out from the void, revealing the Green Lamp Buddha’s figure. Seated calmly atop the Lotus Platform, his aged face bristled with gloom and cold fury.
“It’s the Green Lamp Buddha! The Green Lamp Buddha has returned!”
“Kill him! Don’t let him escape, or he’ll come back to wreak havoc on our Holy Land again!”
“Hold him down! Once Buddha Venerate and the Twin-Faced Buddha return, he’ll be finished!”
“Thinking to ambush the Holy Land; laughable!”
Many Buddhist disciples, seeing the Green Lamp Buddha, were elated and excited, their eyes flashing with hatred and murderous intent. The tension in their faces dissipated instantly, some even folding their hands in prayer with smiles, murmuring words of Amitabha.
“All things are destined. If the Buddhist sect falls today, you too shall face extinction in the future.”
The Green Lamp Buddha fixed his gaze on Li Hao, speaking softly.
Li Hao replied indifferently, “All things wither away—but the difference lies in that I decide your demise.”
The Green Lamp Buddha’s calm expression stiffened instantly, turning icy. “How did you know I would be here?”
He had planned to wait until Li Hao began searching for treasures within the Ten Thousand Buddha Hall and then ambush him. The Buddha Hall contained three Heaven and Earth Treasures buried by the Green Lamp Buddha, ready as bait. Yet, Li Hao showed no intent to claim the treasures, choosing instead to destroy the hall outright—this made the Green Lamp Buddha realize he might have been exposed.
This realization compelled him to act and protect the Ten Thousand Buddha Hall.
“Had you fled elsewhere and relied on that Tao Tribulation Emperor Weapon, I might not be completely confident in killing you. But alas, you harbored killing intent, and here—this is your final chance to kill me. Not wanting to let it slip, you’ve sealed your fate. You will die here.”
