Chapter 478: 478. Thursday

When I woke up, I felt much worse than without a nap in the bathtub.

It shouldn’t have been that long, although the bathwater was already cold.

I listened for Henry’s breathing and heard that he was still asleep, without any nightmares or something.

If he had barged in here, I would have had to smack him hard.

I stepped out of the bathtub, ignoring the thing pressing against all of my organs, making me feel like a stuffed turkey.

Then, after drying myself, I grabbed the handle to pull that thing out.

Just that it didn’t come out.

"???" I pulled again, but that thing was stuck inside me.

Is that because of the bathwater??? Some under pressure?

After panicking hardcore and pulling with force but not enough to reverse-gut myself, I finally remembered that I conjured that thing up.

"Haaaah." This bathroom started giving me signs of being cursed as well.

I put the silicone thing back to the past, feeling the pressure disappear strangely fast.

Fuck, what do people do if they don’t have my ability? Go to the hospital like this and get it removed there?

At least this wouldn’t be possible to happen during the actual act because then I could kick Henry out of me—not that we want to even let it come to that... Fuck, only two days left; I am so fucking nervous just thinking about it.

Anyway, after hypnotizing myself again into thinking gay sex wasn’t that big of a deal and finishing washing up, I conjured up fresh pajamas because I forgot to bring a real set.

Then I stored the box away and went back into the room, slipping back into bed.

It was really magical how, with me just getting into Henry’s radius, the sleeping puppy instinctively recognized my presence and hugged me close to himself.

I didn’t feel excessively cold because of the bathwater, but warmth was always the better option.

This time, I fell asleep much faster.

"Today is day five, Kenny~"

"Wake up~"

"Wake up, my best, my strongest, the most handsome—oh, who could it be~~?"

"Kenillily." I mumbled, half-asleep.

"Yes, that’s right~" He kissed my cheek, nibbling at it.

"How did you know? Good job~" he praised before taking a good chunk of my cheek in his mouth like a real doggy.

"Wake up, wake up~" he said muffledly.

"Why are you especially annoying today?" I asked with a groan, trying to get away from the puppy’s snout, but he held me in a death grip—with his lips AND arms.

"I slept much better today~ Did you watch over me?" He finally let go but still held onto me.

Oh, so that was the reason.

I am relieved, still annoying, though.

"Maybe." I managed to turn away so that my back was pressed against his chest.

"You are so good to me~ But don’t do that from now on; you will need your strength in two days~"

My eyes snapped open, and I finally felt wide awake.

I turned my head to look at Henry with furrowed brows, forcing him to add an explanation.

"You know that you’ll go first. It probably takes a bit of strength to tame this horse."

And then, under my disbelieving eyes, he added a "Neeeigh."

I burst into laughter and turned away again.

"This horse will now practice with the carrot~~" He pecked me a thousand times more before standing up.

Then, when he was halfway out of the door, he asked unsurely,

"You will too, right?"

I turned, grabbed his pillow, and threw it at the door.

"I did do it already!"

The door closed with a bout of laughter, and after trying to fall asleep again and failing, I stood up and put my pajamas back to the past before getting clothed.

Then I walked into the kitchen, where Ren beamed at me like every morning.

Ethan sat and ate, while the staff sergeant sat beside my grandma.

She looked at me sternly.

"Why is there laughter in my house first thing in the morning?" she asked me while I sat down beside Ren.

"I’m so sorry; were the joy and happiness of others very disturbing to you?" I asked her with fake pity, but she scoffed and ignored me.

"How are the girls?"

"Better," she hissed, and I took that as a sign to change the topic.

"Ah, do we have to work on the weekend? And if yes, are we going to work Sunday before leaving?"

Ethan, who looked desperate to suppress a laugh, finally turned earnest.

"Yes, we will have to go to work; we will leave Sunday evening."

My grandma chimed in,

"You three will stay here to work on Sunday, while the others will leave Saturday for a house closer to the place from the others."

Ah. So only Ethan, Henry, and I will be here from Saturday to Sunday?

Isn’t this awfully convenient?

Why the fuck does this make me a hundred times more nervous?

"Will we travel by cars?" I asked while eating some toast to calm my nerves.

"Probably... that woman insisted on showing me something on Saturday... Maybe a camper or," she grimaced at the thought alone, or maybe it was the mortification of just talking about Omar’s mother.

Before she could continue, Henry walked into the dining room, looking much more glowing than the rest of us.

That fucker surely had enjoyed his time with the carrot.

Damn... am I jealous of that fucked-up silicon thing right now?

"Good morning," he said.

"You sure are in a good mood after bringing a corpse into my house and making your sister yell at my grandson," the old dragon commented.

"Leave him alone. We brought the corpse because of a deal with Jeyjey," I told her, seeing Henry break into a big grin at being protected.

I gave the puppy a toast to apologize for being jealous and let my grandmother glare at me as long as she wanted.

Ethan nodded.

"I already explained the circumstances of the corpse to Mrs. Howard."

Ah, that was a mistake; the old dragon’s glare was now directed at him.

In the end, Ethan saved himself by announcing that we had to go.

I peeled the kid off my arm, telling him that we would see each other later.

When we were in the car, Ethan spoke again.

"I will stay in the ganghouse from Saturday to Sunday."

Henry hummed.

"So it worked out. You all will go first?"

I raised my eyebrows, looking at the apparent mastermind of us now suddenly ending up alone for our ’first’ time.

The puppy just smiled sweetly at me.

"Yes, things fell into place, and you will be alone then." Ethan wriggled uncomfortably in his seat and then stopped speaking altogether.

"What did you do?" I murmured towards Henry, who shrugged, leaning his head against my shoulder; he whispered,

"Just told Ethan to get everyone out."

Fuck.

Suppressing the nervousness, I opened the window and put my hand out.

I wasn’t that nervous back then, no matter what Elisa and I did; it was all just fun and games.

With the puppy, I feel close to a heart attack just by picturing entering him.

The muscular body that constantly stood taller than me would then squirm under me; the eyes that were constantly on me would then be in a daze from pleasure and pain—just as he had said.

Fuck, it is so damn hot today, and it’s just morning.

I brought my hand, cooled from the wind, over my face, feeling the feverish heat lessen a bit, leaving only the super annoying fluttering in my stomache behind.

I asked Ethan about the people in the ganghouse, and he said he would bring Dr. Lawrence, Patrick, Harry, Chelsea, and the twins to the new mansion on Saturday, while the girls and Sven from the ganghouse said they would depart sometime on the weekend by themselves, as they wanted to go in another direction to some relative of one of them or something.

"Tell them to take a few weapons with them, but not all of them," I said before explaining my deal with Armless.

Ethan nodded thoughtfully.

"I will inform them."

"Don’t worry. The gang had more weapons than anybody could carry," Henry assured me.

"Nice. We also have a lot, haven’t we? Will we take them with us?" I asked Ethan, who nodded.

"A portion," Ethan nodded.

"Do we know how we get out of the city? Since we are in a lockdown situation and nobody can leave, do we shoot our way out, or is there a secret passage?"

"Mrs. Anand spoke to Mrs. Howard about this; apparently, she has a solution, and since you said they are trustworthy, we agreed." Ethan parked the car, and my questions for today were answered.

We made it to the city hall, then through the registration, to the construction site, and through another day of laborious work.

Armless looked at me quite often, apparently still thinking it through.

Anyway, I again flipped the coin at him when I brushed past him to get my lunchbox, and I saw the same vision from before, telling me the future hadn’t changed.

Good.

In the end, we took the bus back, and finally, Henry and I could get rid of the last task for the week, which was to take a look at Henry’s parents.

Ethan went back first, like usual, and Henry and I had a little discussion about who would go first until I won and counted down.

I teleported with the command ’To Henry2’s parents if they are still alive in our world and to a spot where we won’t be seen, heard, or filmed.’ It was a bit long, but that was because I was suddenly paranoid about appearing in some other world if the coin didn’t get the number reference right.

I appeared on the branch of a tree.

My eyes fell on the garden below, seeming somewhat familiar.

Looking to my side, I found the tree I was on was deep dark black.

Ah. Looking back to the garden, there really were a bunch of blond people in there.

The garden of the Lawrence mansion had no signs of the bunch of rats that wreaked havoc here not long ago.

Henry’s parents, as the few black-hearted people, were easily spotted amidst the Lawrence people, who were essentially a few parents and their children talking and playing while the sun was still out.

Mr. and Mrs. Devin looked the best I had seen them until now; from a bit thin to emaciated, they now finally had a more than healthy weight... especially Mrs. Devin.

Oh...

Shit.
