Flip the Coin [BL]-Chapter 463. ’Watching flowers’ 2
Henry’s POV
Seeing them walk away, I tried to control the nagging anxiety.
I hate this weak, insufficient side of me the most, but I am lucky, so lucky that Kenny is still willing to accommodate my moods.
I just have to pray to my god that he will never change in that matter or that I am able to change, winning over this weak side.
I smiled while hearing him actively ’watch flowers,’ and when they had gone too far from me to properly listen in, I teleported on top of one of the big trees that were now closer to them.
"Because people might get strange thoughts ..."
"Who will? You?"
I nearly broke into laughter; I knew he would say that—it was an answer I borrowed from him while speaking with Mrs. Howard the last time.
Today Kenny’s comebacks were especially entertaining, and I cheered for him from up there.
Then soon it was about meeting beautiful girls, and my face fell.
They changed the topic the next moment, but I couldn’t help feeling dejected, ready to jump down and take Kenny away from everyone able to influence him. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Gripping the branch I sat on, I slightly dangled my feet while being so... desperate for approval and for confirmation that I couldn’t hold back and had to listen in on their conversation.
They talked about Chelsea, and I could still remember when I watched them making out in the DeerMonster World—the memory hurt so much that I would love to force them out of my brain.
Though it wasn’t all bad, given that he had a vision after I had interrupted them, a vision of me sucking him off... A vision from which he came, even back then.
And for the record, he had never cried about Chelsea, nor had he ever been rejected; who would be able to?
Nobody could.
So Mrs. Howard, don’t bring her to him...or I won’t be able to hold back and act according to the regret of having saved her not long ago.
"YOU HAVE TO DATE A GIRL!" The old woman yelled, and I closed my eyes, unwilling to see, unwilling to listen, but instead of covering my ears, I tilted my head, straining myself to hear Kenny’s answer loud and clear, while I felt the shadowy energy thrumming through my body, ready to break out at any given moment.
"You think there is a girl more beautiful than Henry?"
I snapped my eyes open and looked down through the branches at the helpless, handsome man, who shrugged as if he had never taken the words of his grandmother to heart—not even for a second.
Ha...Hahahahahahaa!
"There has to be...."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHH!
I covered my mouth, doing my best not to burst out laughing, just doing it in my head like someone as crazy as me.
"So you just look at the face?"
Hahahahahah, if he would have, I would have had it much easier!
"No, that is not right; your ex-girlfriend wasn’t really that beautiful."
HAAHAHAHA, SHE REALLY IS NOT! As someone who has met her in person, I can confirm that!!
Kenny didn’t refute her; he just shrugged in the most charming way.
"Which proves my point—Henry is the most beautiful."
I clutched my heart, trying to stop it from killing me on the spot.
I was so happy that it hurt and made my eyes moist, so happy that I wanted to scream, before I finally calmed down again, feeling my nerves settle, my muscles relax, and the shadowy energy humming in a much slower tune together with my cells, in a serene, uniform dance.
I continued to listen, unable to wipe the grin from my face before I teleported to Kitty.
I appeared in the backyard and saw the tiger licking the spot where the fish had been, seemingly sadly reminiscing about that time.
When Kitty saw me, he looked behind me with hope as if expecting Kenny to be near.
I chuckled at that motion before grabbing Kitty’s collar.
I had only noticed that he was even wearing one in the morning.
After I had used the stretching kit in the morning, simultaneously relieving myself because I was so turned on at the thought of Kenny using it as well, I eventually walked into our room, where I found the closet standing tall, the knife still embedded in it, and Kenny sleeping.
I had just stared at him from the door, too scared to wake him up and worsen his mood.
I then locked the door silently and then went back into my room, where I had stored the drawings before going to the bathroom, and after trying to sleep and being unable to do so because something very important was missing, I went out again.
In the corridor, I met Kitty, with his snout pinkish and his eyes much redder than they had been before.
It hadn’t taken me that long to know where Kenny’s blood had been discarded, and I didn’t know if I was happy about that solution or angry at this daring fellow with the pink snout.
I dragged him outside to the backyard and used the garden hose on him, in the process discovering that he was also collared.
Just that my smokey black and blue crystal was way more beautiful than his pink one—probably gifted by Mrs. Howard.
And right now, that fellow was still resentful for getting a cold shower this morning, but at least his snout was white again. Besides, I had discovered a way to drag him around without threatening him with my shadowy power.
I grabbed his collar, and he only tried to fight for so long, soon following obediently when he noticed that even after ingesting Kenny’s blood, he was still not as strong as me.
We both stopped when we heard Kenny bursting into laughter, the sound coming closer, and so was the old woman’s yelling.
Kitty turned around, hoping to get rescued, but in the end was dragged along into Kenny’s and my room.
"Lie down, like last time." I put a blanket on the top of the bed.
"Be a cushion," I demanded before narrowing my eyes.
"You better be here when I am back."
I went upstairs, where I heard Ren sleeping soundly, taking a nap.
When I saw the altered drawing on his door, I tapped it happily before going in and scooping the kid up.
I hurriedly walked back to our room and saw that Kitty had resignedly taken a seat and was posing as a headrest.
I placed the still-sleeping kid down, then speedily changed clothes in the bathroom before leaning back onto the mattress as well.
Between Ren and me was an empty space, ready for Kenny.
Then I thought of something and took my phone out. I wrote Ethan that he should tell Emma to start cooking something delicious.
I had overheard Mrs. Howard say he wasn’t here, but he could at least contact Emma, as I didn’t have her number, nor did I want to.
And even less, I wanted to find her room or talk to her myself.
I pulled up a few cartoons that I had downloaded before the civil unrest and was content and ready for Kenny to come back so that we could make up for the missed time yesterday.
I really wanted him to be as relaxed as I felt at the moment after he had been so busy this whole Sunday with constantly making me fall for him over and over again.
Everything was ready; even Ethan had answered that he had contacted Emma and that she would start to cook now—though he had added an unhappy emoji, telling me that he had to stop on the side of the road to use his phone.
So he really was on the road at the moment.
Very good, he hadn’t risked a crash—this could have interrupted the relaxing day.
Feeling so happy, I felt compelled to answer him, so I sent a thumbs-up emoji as a reply.
The next second, Kenny appeared in the room.
He looked all roughed up, his hair standing away, green grass spots on his knees, and although he didn’t have a problem catching his breath, he bent down with his hands on his knees and gave a long sigh.
"Welcome back~~" I deepened my voice and lay back, trying to amplify my ’beauty’.
I had heard the commotion outside, so I didn’t need to ask why he was in that state.
Kenny looked up, froze for a moment before averting my eyes.
"Did you hear her just now? She has gone completely crazy!!" His eyes found me again, and he again became absentminded.
"I heard," I chuckled.
"She pulled my hair and tried to attack me with her shoe?? How deranged does one have to be to attack someone with a shoe?"
"Should I get rid of her shoes?" I asked while tilting my head, letting him get a good look at my neck as I was offering myself to him obediently and with newly regained confidence.
"It would be better; her boots have steel caps. Is this even legal?" He asked with a laugh, his eyes never stopping to follow my movements.
"Just because ’meh’ set her off, petty as fuck—how often did she call me a convict and worse?"
I smiled, thrilled by the way everything had returned to before, even though we had the negotiation in the early morning—that nothing had changed; all that was needed was a bit of security on my part.
I can’t have so many doubts and fears anymore, not when I have such a jackpot in front of me.
"My poor Kenny~, come here~" I raised my arms, and he instantly took two steps forward, though before reaching me he suddenly stopped.
"...I have to go shower first."
He eventually ripped his gaze away from me and went to the closet.
Before opening it, he made a hand gesture, and the knife stuck in the door disappeared.
Then he took a shirt and jogging pants with one arm while reaching with the other hand into his pocket.
"What are you doing?" I asked curiously, suddenly scared that he was injured somewhere.
The next moment, he turned around and threw something at me.
"Catch."
I caught it, but before I could look, he smirked at me.
"Thought you liked this cringy stuff."
I opened my hand, finding a single daisy, dandelion, and poppy—the stem of the poppy was knotted around the other two, making one little bouquet.
I licked my lips, hearing the blood rushing in my ears, and when I finally looked up, I found that Kenny had already left the room to go shower in the adjoining room.
"I..." Again the happiness returned, crashing over me, devouring me, my feelings for him gutting me, stripping away everything else that was not overwhelming infatuation.
"...love it." I love it so much that it hurts—this sweetness is killing me.
