Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 56: Young Master Peary is not behaving normally
Chapter 56: Chapter 56: Young Master Peary is not behaving normally
In the end, they did not go on a honeymoon, preferring to stay at home.
While Nia Mitchell was still fast asleep, Maxwell Peary headed to the study to work on company matters.
"Boss?"
Alan Morgan felt something was off the moment he entered the villa, his mind preoccupied by the pair of white canvas shoes he had spotted in the shoe cabinet earlier when changing his shoes.
"Hmm."
Maxwell Peary continued to scrutinize the document in his hand, largely ignoring Alan Morgan. It wasn’t Alan’s first time visiting Royal Bay Villa. Why was he behaving like a country bumpkin touring a grand mansion?
Alan Morgan furrowed his brows, his face filled with curiosity. What kind of strange footwear is Boss wearing?
"Boss, have... have you been keeping something from me?"
Alan Morgan sniffed the air. I smell a clandestine affair.
A brow arched on Maxwell Peary’s face. Oh? Was it that obvious?
"Well, why should I tell you?"
Alan Morgan swallowed hard. Something’s wrong. Why would Boss say something like that?
"Fine, but I have something to tell you. The person who tampered with our merchandise vanished as of last night, cleaned out, with not a single trace left."
Maxwell Peary nodded; it was all within his expectations.
"There’s a Victoria Perez of the Perez Family. Handle her as usual."
Alan Morgan looked at Maxwell Peary, puzzled. The Perez Family? What kind of third-rate business is that? To think it actually caught Young Master Peary’s attention. Young Master Peary’s usual method for dealing with things is to wipe out everything. It seems this person really has a death wish.
BANG!
The soundproofing in the study was top-notch, but they clearly heard the sound of something shattering outside.
Alan Morgan paid it no mind but was still puzzled. Since when did Royal Bay Villa have such clumsy servants?
Maxwell Peary, who was sitting to one side, froze for a couple of seconds before quickly rising to his feet and exiting the room.
Nia Mitchell stood helplessly, looking at the shattered glass cup on the floor as a maid immediately came over to help clean up.
"Madam, I’ll take care of this."
The first thing Maxwell Peary saw when he walked out was this scene. He quickened his pace, walked over, and guided her to the sofa.
"Why are you out of bed?"
Nia Mitchell stuck out her little tongue. "I woke up feeling a bit thirsty, so I came down to get some water."
Seeing that she was alright, Maxwell Peary let out a sigh of relief.
"You could have asked me to pour it for you."
How could I dare ask him to pour water for me? Besides, he was busy with company affairs in the study. Getting a drink of water is such a small thing.
After the maid cleaned up the broken glass, she poured a new glass of water and brought it over.
"Madam, your water."
Nia Mitchell nodded awkwardly with a smile, took the water, sipped it, and looked at Maxwell Peary.
"Why are there suddenly so many maids at home?" she asked, feeling very uncomfortable.
"There have always been many maids; they just weren’t around when you came before."
Maxwell Peary smiled. Seeing her nervous and uneasy look, he found her adorable, just like Rabina Mitchell.
"You’ll get used to it. Are you planning to go back to sleep later?"
Nia Mitchell shook her head. "I want to take a bath. My whole body feels sore."
Maxwell Peary nodded. He had carried her to the bathroom to clean up afterward, so she shouldn’t feel sticky, just sore.
"Alright. After your bath, it’ll be about time for lunch. After we eat, shall I join you for a nap?" freeweɓnovel-cøm
Nia Mitchell was startled, her eyes widening as she stared at him. He’ll join me for a nap? Does he want to do *that* again? No, he can’t! It still hurts down there. How could I withstand his insatiable demands, being ravaged again and again?
