Maxwell was gritting his teeth, on the verge of a breakdown. Is Rabina Mitchell trying to deprive me of my wedding night perks? Not a chance!

"Impossible!" Maxwell refused decisively, his face grim. He was seething with anger.

Nia pouted. Jerk!

She clumsily tried to get down from the man’s lap, only to be gripped even tighter around the waist by him.

"Let go!"

Nia tried wriggling out of his grasp, but to no avail.

Maxwell decided to stop teasing her. Her sudden wriggling had aroused him, causing a certain part of his body to stir and rise. He pressed a hand to his forehead.

"Stop moving!"

Nia froze as she felt a hard object pushing against her. Even for someone as naive as her, she knew full well what that object was.

All the blood rushed to her head, her face flushing crimson.

"You’re a pervert."

Nia attempted to struggle out of his embrace, but the more she struggled, the harder that thing became...

"Stop moving!"

A vein throbbed on Maxwell’s forehead, and his brow furrowed deeply. I told her not to move, but she keeps wriggling! Doesn’t she know this... stimulation takes time to subside?

"Let me hold you for a while."

His head was buried in her neck, his hoarse voice resonating in her ear. Nia obediently stayed put, not daring to move an inch.

Time seemed to come to a standstill; the air felt frozen. Other than his ragged breathing, the only sound was the whooshing of the fast-moving car.

Nia stared at the flying scenery outside the window. The streetlights were hazy dots of light, and beneath their dim yellow glow, pedestrians occasionally appeared—some in groups, some in pairs, and some alone.

"Not getting down?"

Maxwell’s voice suddenly sounded by her ear, his tone back to normal. She, however, was still sitting awkwardly on his lap.

Hearing this, Nia immediately hopped off his lap, seated herself properly, and turned to gaze out the car window, keeping as far away from him as possible.

Maxwell knew she was embarrassed, so he didn’t tease her excessively.

They traveled in silence. It wasn’t until they arrived back at the Royal Bay Villa that he noticed she had fallen asleep.

She wouldn’t even notice if she bumped her head.

Maxwell frowned, scrutinizing her sleeping face. A hint of pink blush remained, and her exquisite features were flawless.

So, there really are women in this world who don’t wear makeup.

Once CEO Maxwell had gazed his fill, he bent down to pick her up, intending to carry her to her room.

Nia, who was usually a heavy sleeper, was an unusually light sleeper today. The slight movement of him picking her up was enough to make her open her eyes.

"Mmm... Are we home yet?"

She yawned delicately, only then realizing she was in his arms.

Maxwell put her down on the bench at the entrance, opening the shoe cabinet to retrieve her new pink slippers.

"Isn’t it rather obvious?"

Nia sat there and, with her eyes still closed, took off her shoes and put on the slippers. Then she stood up and headed upstairs.

"I’m going to take a shower first."

CEO Maxwell paused in the middle of changing his shoes. He looked up at her retreating figure, his mind instantly filled with suggestive thoughts. A shower?

Maxwell hurriedly finished changing his shoes and followed her, shrugging off his coat as he went.

"Would you like me to join you?"

Nia’s mind went blank. She slowly turned around to look at him.

"Join you in what?"

Maxwell, having already removed his coat, started unbuttoning his cuffs.

"In the shower, of course!"

Nia froze, her eyes widening in disbelief.

"No! You pervert!"

Covering her face, Nia scurried upstairs and, with a BANG, shut the door to the bedroom.

Watching her flurry of actions, Maxwell smirked. She’s embarrassed again. Why run? It’s not like I’m going to eat her...
