Chapter 505: Chapter 504: Indeed, Birds of a Feather Flock Together

Soon, it was lunchtime, and Owen Lewis had not appeared at MC Group all morning.

Nia Mitchell had already sent a text to the CEO, telling him she would go to the Underground Garage first to wait for him.

So, she packed her things, left the Office Room, and headed to the Underground Garage.

To her surprise, when she arrived, she found Maxwell Peary already sitting in the car.

"Did you leave work early today?"

Nia Mitchell looked at him oddly; this was rather unlike the CEO’s usual style.

"Well? Mrs. Peary, do you feel exceptionally flattered?"

Seeing his rare good mood, Nia Mitchell played along.

"I do indeed feel exceptionally flattered. Mr. Peary deserves a handsome reward."

She beamed, her radiant smile making Maxwell Peary, in the driver’s seat, feel a bit captivated.

So, he leaned over and whispered close to her ear.

"Reward me tonight."

His ambiguous whisper brushed against her ear, sending an involuntary shiver through her entire being. Her ear tips grew terribly hot, turning so red they looked as if they might bleed.

"Get away from me!"

Nia Mitchell pushed him away and, sitting in the passenger seat, awkwardly averted her gaze to look out the window.

"Let’s go already! I’m starving."

She pouted with her lovely lips, her voice carrying a hint of coquetry.

Seeing her like this, Maxwell Peary chuckled lightly, leaned over to peck her fair, rounded cheek, and then began to drive with focus.

Taking my wife to a romantic Western Restaurant for a meal... TSK TSK, this feeling is truly wonderful!

He parked the car and, holding her small hand, led her into the Dining Hall. Inside, it was quiet and devoid of customers.

"Uncle, is the food here bad? There’s nobody here."

Nia Mitchell leaned close to him and whispered, her eyes scanning around, still not spotting a single customer.

Maxwell Peary: ...

Mrs. Peary, don’t you know there’s a term in this world called ’booking out the entire venue’?

"Miss, our Dining Hall is absolutely the most famous and authentic in all of Capital Town."

A Western Restaurant with no customers at all would be incredibly quiet. Consequently, no matter how softly Nia Mitchell spoke, the Manager heard everything. Facing Maxwell Peary’s dark expression, he braced himself, summoned his courage, and began to speak. However, the tremor in his voice betrayed him.

How terrifying was Young Master Peary’s gloomy face? Only those standing right beside him could truly sense it.

"Then why are there no customers?"

Nia Mitchell looked at the Manager curiously, a hint of suspicion in her eyes.

"Because..."

The Manager hesitated. Young Master Peary, oh Young Master Peary, can it be that your companion doesn’t even realize you’ve booked the entire place?

Besides, isn’t it obvious to anyone with eyes that the entire place has been booked?

You two... you’re clearly toying with me!

This is too terrifying, too terrifying!

Indeed, birds of a feather flock together.

Rabina Mitchell was still unaware of how jarring her puzzled expression seemed to others.

The Manager was unsure if he should utter his next words. But if he didn’t, how could he explain?

"Because Young Master Peary booked the entire place."

The Manager blurted it out quickly, hoping to be spared.

Nia Mitchell looked utterly surprised and turned to Maxwell Peary.

"It’s just a meal, why book out the entire place?"

This is too extravagant and wasteful, isn’t it? And completely unnecessary, right?

"Silly girl."

Maxwell Peary lovingly tapped her little nose. Seeing her clueless expression, his heart warmed with affection.

"If I hadn’t booked out the place, what if other people saw us?"
