First Legendary Dragon: Starting With The Limitless System-Chapter 72: The Convergence Sigil
Chapter 72: The Convergence Sigil
[Draw 16 - Common Grade - Tier 6 - Stone Poison Blade]
[A sword created with a mild stone poison causing gradual weakening.]
[Draw 17 - Uncommon Grade - Spatial Blink Rune]
[A spatial rune drawn on the body. Can help to escape in lethal situations.]
Orion paused, looking at the 17th draw in surprise. "Damn, actually a treasure." His eyes shined with excitement. "I finally have a true trump card."
[Hehehehe, I knew Master’s luck is really good.]
"Hurry, continue. I don’t want my lucky streak to break," he quickly said.
[Draw 18 - Empty]
[Better luck next time.]
"Fuck!" He cursed, looking at the empty draw.
[Cough, we shouldn’t stop now, Master!!]
[Draw 19 - Common Grade - Tier 4 - Herb Collection]
[A bundle of various herbs useful for alchemy and potion brewing.]
"Haa... back on track," he heaved a sigh.
[Draw 20 - Common Grade - Tier 7 - Wolfkin Gloves]
[Gloves slightly enhancing agility and reaction time.]
[Draw 21 - Common Grade - Tier 8 - Solarflare Pendant]
[Pendant increasing resistance to dark-element attacks.]
"Interesting. Useful against the damn demons," Orion nodded approvingly.
[Draw 22 - Common Grade - Tier 9 - Spatial Ring]
[Tier 9 Spatial Ring.]
"Oh? Is it bigger than my current Spatial Ring?" he curiously asked.
[Yes, Master. Your current Spatial Ring is Tier 5 grade.]
"Good, then it’s an improvement," he nodded in satisfaction.
[Draw 23 - Common Grade - Tier 9 - Thunder Wood Armor]
[A robust armor offering significant physical and thunder defense.]
Orion’s smile widened. "Perfect fit for this kingdom. I can pretty much guarantee my safety against those at the 9th Tier and below."
[Draw 24 - Uncommon Grade - Three Lives Morning Dew]
[A miraculous elixir capable of healing any wounds completely and removing all curses.]
Orion’s eyes widened. "The hell?? Really? Did you mess with the odds of me getting this, Lil Lumi?"
[No Master, I can’t do that ( _ _ ). It’s your luck that you got it! ✧(>o<)ノ✧]
Orion laughed. "Hahaha, looks like Gacha God really blessed me today. Continue, continue. It’s the last fucking draw," he excitedly said.
[Coming right up!(*≧▽≦)]
The screen shimmered intensely for the final draw. The Gacha BGM dramatically peaked.
[Draw 25 - LEGENDARY RANK ITEM - THE CONVERGENCE SIGIL]
[A mysterious and ancient sigil with 12 grooves whose true power and effects remain unknown.]
Orion stared at the screen in excitement, his control over his emotions faltering as his draconic instinct raged onwards. His greed with excitement surged to an all-new level, his aura turning more ferocious. "Legendary!?"
[Calm down, Master.]
Lumi’s soft voice echoed in his Sea of Consciousness like a gentle breeze.
Orion took a few deep breaths and suppressed his draconic instincts again. "Haa... Sorry I lost my cool. But fucking hell, a Legendary Draw?"
His eyes filled with excitement. "How in the hell did I manage to draw that? Do you know its uses?"
[(_□_), sorry Master. I don’t know about the treasures of Echo’s treasury. But it seems some sort of treasure with twelve sections. Maybe it is incomplete.]
Orion gently said, "Don’t worry, I asked for too much. After all, you only have the knowledge from my Dragon Inheritance."
[Master...( ಥ ರ ಥ )]
"And why does this damn Human Emperor Inheritance not have any memories? I could have known so much about the political forces of Demons and other Races with it. Grandpa clearly mentioned how legendary a figure he was," Orion shook his head and sat back down.
[Maybe it’s because he didn’t have enough time to make an Inheritance for his inheritor back then? Sounds like it was a chaotic situation from what I heard.]
"Maybe..." He shook his head and looked back at his draws, his smile widening. "Anyway, these draws were fucking worth it. Hahaha, my luck really turned for the better."
[Ehh Master, you really think it was due to your luck?]
Lumi cautiously asked.
Orion paused. "Huh? What do you mean? Was there another reason?"
Lumi thought for a while on how to answer before she cautiously began,
[The thing is, Master, the System Points you get for completing quests are special. They have higher value with better chances of gaining treasures. That’s why you only drew a single empty draw...]
"..." Orion stared at the screen with a blank look on his face. "...Then why were you hyping me up saying my luck is good today?"
[Cough, that was to make you happy, Master. You were so excited, I just couldn’t pour cold water on it at that time.(⁎・ω・)⁎)]
"....Haaa... you have dashed my hope of reaching the peak with gambling alone." Orion dropped back on the bed, dashing his dream of farming Mana Crystals and gaining limitless treasures.
"Where did you put the treasures? I don’t think my inventory has enough space for them all." He asked after resting for a moment.
[They are in the High Grade Spatial Ring, Master.]
Orion nodded his head. "Well, I should organize the inventory," he said and sat back up.
"Show me my inventory." He first decided to look at what he got.
[Inventory (5/10)]
-Damaged World Tree Seed
-Strange Stone
-600 Tons of Meat
-Bonesteel Sword (High Grade Treasure)
-Moonberry x9,983 (Common Grade)
"Hmm, only got 5 slots huh..." He rubbed his chin and looked at the draws he made. "Put... Thunderstrike Bow, Emberstone Staff, Spatial Blink Rune, Three Lives Morning Dew, and the Convergence Sigil inside the inventory."
He decided on the main treasures that he had drawn from the gacha this time.
[On it, Master!]
[Ding!]
[Inventory Sorted]
[Inventory (10/10)]
-Damaged World Tree Seed (Supreme Grade)
-Strange Stone (Unknown Grade)
-600 Tons of Meat (Common Grade)
-Bonesteel Sword (High Grade Treasure/Tier 9)
-Moonberry x9,983 (Common Grade)
-Thunderstrike Bow (Common Grade/Tier 8)
-Emberstone Staff (Common Grade/Tier 9)
-Spatial Blink Rune (Uncommon Grade)
-Three Lives Morning Dew (Uncommon Grade)
-Convergence Sigil (Legendary Grade)
"Now this is much better. Let me see what the Convergence Sigil looks like. Make sure no aura leaks from the treasure, Lumi," he said while taking out the treasure from the inventory.
Orion’s hand tightened instinctively as the Convergence Sigil emerged from the void of his inventory—hovering slightly above his palm, untouched by gravity.
A slow, low hum filled the room, like the heartbeat of a distant star, resonating with the very fabric of reality. Yet it released no aura, as if time had stilled for it.
His eyes widened.
It was... beautiful. But terrifying.
The sigil was a perfect obsidian disk, about the size of his palm, but its surface shifted like liquid metal, flickering between black and gray, colors he instinctively associated with Space and Time.
Around its outer rim were twelve evenly spaced grooves, each glowing faintly with a different intricate rune. Looking at them gave the feeling as if gazing at trillions of ants crawling at a single point.
At the very center of the disk was nothing but darkness, yet he felt that if he tried to penetrate it with his mortal body, he would be nothing more than dead meat.
He took a deep breath and carefully observed it all over, looking for any clue how to use it. It felt incomplete yet complete, contradicting in itself.
"Lumi... do you have any idea what this can do?" he asked again.
Lumi ruminated for a second, [I don’t have any idea, Master...]
