Chapter 84: Chocolate Palace.

"I don’t know." She said tentatively, cutting his words off. "I don’t know if I’m in love with you guys yet." She looked down at their joined hands, unable to keep looking at him.

"You know how the mate bond can be, all it comes with and the other important things it leaves you to carry by yourself. You guys are great and caring and everything I had asked for and more, so I do not dislike you guys at all. I’m protective, I care, I worry, and who knows, I might actually love you guys but I don’t know about it yet." She explained letting the silence linger a bit.

"I’m sorry, Theodore." She apologized, not daring to look up at him as she blinked back the tears that were forming in her eyes.

"Princess." Theo called with a hoarse voice, using his other hand to lift her chin so she was facing him, but she kept her gaze in their hands. "Please look at me." He pleaded softly his voice smoothening a bit.

Bethany was honestly scared of what she was going to see if she looked upon at him.

Anger?, sadness?, reluctant acceptance?

’Understanding?’ She asked herself in disbelief as she reluctantly looked into his eyes.

"I can’t judge you, Princess. Whether you had said no or yes, although I really appreciate you telling me the truth, but either way, I could never judge you, Princess." He pacified, rubbing his fingers on her chin.

"But why?" She couldn’t help but I ask, tears gathering at the corners of her eyes.

"Because it’s unnecessary, Princess. Why would I do that? Love isn’t the same thing as being attracted to someone by unknown forces, Princess, besides you don’t know everything about us yet and neither are we in a hurry." He explained, wiping off the tears that threatened to fall freely from her eyes.

"But it hurt you." Bethany tried to protest, but Theo shook his head, not wanting to hear more.

"It didn’t hurt me,Princess. Not the slightest. You said you don’t know, but you’re sitting beside me, you slept in my place and would sleep at Tristan’s tomorrow. All of that, Princess and more show that you’re willing to try, that you’re giving us a chance, despite how horrible we can be."

"I’m a fucking executioner, Princess, and yet, you haven’t treated me differently, not once. You might put it on the mate bond, but I know it has very little to do with that. So no, I wasn’t hurt. I was relieved you didn’t lie, I was relieved you didn’t hate us either. That’s all I could ask for, Love." He confessed, holding her gaze, letting comfortable silence sit between them as she processed his statements.

"Thank you." She said with a small smile.

"Anytime, Princess." He said kissing her briefly. "Wipe away your tears. We have a chocolate fountain to visit." He said with a wide grin.

Time to impress her.

They drove for a while, from their chill and relatively quiet area to the middle of the city that bustled with life and very infectious energy, sitting in comfortable silence, their fingers intertwined, lost in their thoughts.

"We are here." Theo announced, driving into the underground VIP parking lot of the massive glass building. "Are you ready?" He asked, glancing at her as he turned off the ignition, a small smile on his lips.

"Yes." She said, squeezing his large fingers in excitement.

Theo laughed at her expression, shaking his head.

"Why you laughing?" She asked, pouting abit.

"You look like a kid whose about to taste candy for the first time in their life." He commented, pinching her tinted cheek. "Wait here, I’m coming." He said leaving her in the car.

Just as she saw him walk in front of the car bonet, coming to her side, she opened her door and stepped out before he could get to her.

He looked at her in confusion. "I was going to open it for you." He pointed.

"Yeah, and?" She said smirking, her eyes glinting in mischief.

"You Minx. Why didn’t you wait?" He asked, taking her purse.

"Well, I might be an Omega, but that doesn’t mean you must treat me like I’m made of glass all the time." She said, shutting her door and leaning on it.

"What’s so bad about that? And I don’t always treat you like glass, you know that." He said giving her a knowing look, his eyebrow arched.

A rogue blush betrayed her effort to keep up her stoic expression by creeping up her cheeks, indicating she knew what he meant. "I was just trying to point out that I could open my own door." She managed to say.

"Right. You’re a terrible liar." He said, snatching her hand from her side, pulling her towards an elevator. "I’m going to punish you for that later." He said as they stepped inside, his hand going under her ass, squeezing it to his hearts content, causing heat to spread rapidly across her skin.

She swallowed the lump that had now formed in her throat, getting ready to retort. "You wish." She whispered, staring into his eyes through their reflection on the steel elevator doors, tension fogging the air around them.

Theo chuckled lowly at her remark, turning to face her, his grip on her ass tightening a bit, satisfied when he saw her swallow saliva, the mischievous look in her eyes waning. "You seem to always forget that I don’t wish when it comes to you, Princess. I always know." He bellowed, lifting his hand to her lower back as the elevator pinged, indicating they had gotten to their destination.

"Here we are, Princess. I present to you the Chocolate Palace." He said to Bethany who was awestruck, her lips parted slightly as she took in the place, her eyes shining.

"This is amazing." She said walking ahead. "There are so many people, and the place smells absolutely delicious, I can literally taste it." She joked, laughing heartily, glancing at him for a second before turning back to the wide area that was filled with people and chocolaty things.

When they got to the centre of the place, Theo noticed that she didn’t know where to start looking so he took her hand in his.

"C’mon, let me show you around." He said pulling her softly so she was at his side.

"Have you been here before?" She asked, trying to keep up with his long strides. She couldn’t have been more grateful that she’d chosen sandals over a pair of low heels.

"Yeah. Once." He replied, his eyes scanning around for a place to start.

"Oh. Why did you come here? You were curious?" She asked.

"Mm, yeah. I had just moved in to my apartment outside college and wanted to see the famous chocolate fountain of Eldrador. It was the first place I ever visited." He replied, relieving his memory, pausing when he’d finally found the place he was looking for.

"There." He said, pointing to a huge store that had so many statues.

"The chocolate statues!" She squeaked, already heading to the place, pulling Theo behind her.

He chuckled following her, eyeing an undercover security detail that passed them.

"They look so realistic!" She said reaching forward to touch one of them, but he caught her hand just before it made it to the statue.

"You’d need gloves for that, Princess." He said leading her to where the gloves were sold.

"Two pairs of gloves." He requested, placing his card on the counter, but the attendant just stared at him, her lips slightly open.

"Are you deaf?" Bethany spat, gripping Theo’s arms tightly, her nails digging into his shirt, but he didn’t flinch. He just gave the attendant a dead stare.

"Uhh..I’m so sorry." The attendant said, flustered.

"Stop being sorry and just hand me the gloves." Beth said, her voice icy.

She knew her man was drop dead gorgeous, with a sharp jawline, faint pink thin lips, and brooding eyes that made you want to crawl to them, but couldn’t they at least pretend to not be lost in thought and just respect themselves?

The attendant took out two pairs of gloves, putting them in a transparent bag and handed them over to Theo. She took Theo’s card from the counter, swiping it in the card machine, before handing it back to him.

"Thank you for patronizing." She said monotonously, a tight lipped smile on her face, unable to look at him nor her.

Taking the card, Theo led them away chuckling.

"What’s funny?" Bethany asked, bits of anger in her tone.

"Nothing, Baby. Want some hot chocolate? They make fabulous ones here." He proposed pecking the side of her forehead.

"Don’t call me baby, I’m an adult." She quipped, her tone warming up.

"Sorry, Ma’am." He chimed, trying really hard to keep his amusement in place.

"Where’s the place?" She asked, still clinging unto his muscly arm.

"Not far from here. C’mon." He said, leading her.

"Macgyver?!"
