Fated To Four Alphas Even Though I Am Mute-Chapter 37: Stop The Fight
Heaven’s POV
My fingers were shaking as I tried putting on my dress.I needed to get back to the ballroom immediately.
Once I was done putting on my dress, I didn’t bother to look into the mirror at all, I just ran. My heart was pounding in my chest. I saw how angry Desmond was after what he saw, and I didn’t want to be the reason why the cousins tore each other apart. I didn’t want them to hurt each other more than they already did.
When I got to the stairs leading to the ballroom, the first thing I saw was that a large crowd had gathered. The only things I could hear were whispers. What was happening and way the everyone gather?
My heart began to beat fast as I pushed through the crowd of people and froze when I saw what they were all gathered to watch.
Desmond and Remus were in the middle, exchanging heavy blows. Both of their faces were covered in blood. There was a lot blood smeared on Desmond’s cheeks and dripping from his nose.
It was the same with Remus, blood was all over his face but Desmond had taken the most blows, he kept stepping forward and refused to back down.
None of them looked like they were going to be done with the fight anytime soon.
My heart felt like it would crush. I looked around, hoping that someone would step in to help. When my eyes landed on the brothers, Damian, Damon, and Dylan were just standing there with their hands folded over their chests.
They were watching without doing anything to save their own flesh and blood. They looked unfazed and even had boring expressions, as if it were a boring play. They didn’t look worried at all, they were just waiting for the fight to be over.
Beside them, Sofia was just swaying. she was obviously drunk. She kept saying, "Desmond baby, please stop," over and over again, and it was annoying.
It was so dumb. As if that was all it would take to make two strong Alphas stop a fight that was happening in front of a whole pack. The fight had grown too deep for her foolish words to make them stop.
I looked around the room, and it was obvious that nobody was going to do anything. It was a rule that no one should ever try to separate an Alpha fight because when two Alphas are locked in combat, their wolf instincts takes over.
Anyone who gets in the middle is seen as an obstacle, and a single blow could easily kill a lower-ranked wolf. It would be a bad idea for anyone to step in if they wanted to live. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
But my heart was aching every time Desmond received another punch. Knowing that this was happening because of me made things even worse. I was the reason why Desmond was getting hurt.
What was I supposed to do? If I tried to stop it, I would just be digging my own grave.
Then I thought of Damian. He is the only one capable of stopping this madness.
He was the Supreme Alpha. With a single command, every wolf under our pack would obey.
He might not be able to command Remus, because Remus was an Alpha of his own, but he could command Desmond to stop so that he wouldn’t get hurt anymore.
I rushed toward Damian’s side. I reached out and held his arm, standing up to get his attention.
He looked down and gave me a cold look, as if he didn’t care at all about what I wanted.
He slowly removed my hand from his arm and brushed the part I had touched, as if I had smeared mud on him with my hands.
It was obvious that he wasn’t going to do anything to stop it. They all found pleasure in watching people get hurt. He loved seeing people in pain, even though it was his own brother.
Desmond wasn’t strong enough to win against Remus, and Damian wasn’t going to help him.
I had no choice but to watch. I turned back to the fight. Desmond kept charging toward Remus, but he still wasn’t winning the fight but he didn’t seem to care.
Remus landed a heavy punch to his ribs, making a cracking sound that caused the guests to gasp. it was obvious his ribs were broken, but Desmond still didn’t stop.
Desmond charged at Remus again with his wolf speed, but Remus ducked the punch and grabbed Desmond by the shoulders. Remus slammed him onto the hard floor, and I swear, I felt the floor shake. It felt like an earthquake.
Desmond rolled and coughed up thick blood. I thought he was going to give up, but I had underestimated him. He stood on his feet again and was getting ready to charge with another punch.
They were apart from each other for a moment. I didn’t even think about the so-called Alpha rule or the fact that since I didn’t have a wolf, I would surely die from a single punch. I only thought about the blood on Desmond’s face and how much I hated seeing him get hurt.
So, I ran in front of Remus, turning my back to him so that I was facing Desmond. I squeezed my eyes closed, waiting for the impact.
Desmond was already charging. He had been preparing a massive punch directed at Remus’s head. With the speed at which he was moving, there was no way he could pull back in time. I gave up and got ready for my skull to shatter, expecting to collapse dead to the ground.
"Desmond, enough!!"
I heard Damian’s Alpha Command.
The punch I had been waiting for didn’t come. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Desmond’s bloody fist. It was just an inch away from my face. I would have definitely dropped dead to the floor it it had hit me.
