Chapter 921 -921: Simply a Winner in Life
It turned out to be a brilliantly sunny Sunday, with the sun shining high and not a cloud in sight.
The air was tinged with the fresh scent of grass, and the sky was a washed blue.
Early in the morning, Jasmine Yale was picked up by Joe Heath to head to the Landon International Golf Course.
She hadn’t put on makeup or any jewelry today, looking youthful and beautiful, her eyes and brows sparkling with youthful vitality when she smiled.
She had been really busy lately. Apart from going to work, she spent her time either reading books or hanging out with friends.
The golf course was a lush green, and today’s weather was especially great for outdoor sports.
The course seemed extra crowded today.
Under the pouring sunlight, Jasmine stood on the open ground for a while and felt hot.
The place was truly beautiful. Looking around, it was vast and green everywhere.
Nearby the golf course, there were villas, hotels, clubs, hot springs… It certainly was Landon’s finest golf course.
Along the way, Joe explained the basics of golf to her—the stance, the technique, and the terminology, but Jasmine listened with only half an understanding.
There were quite a few girls her age around the course, all brimming with youth.
Some of the girls played exceptionally well!
Jasmine couldn’t help but watch them a bit longer.
Joe put on his gloves and said, “Follow me, don’t get lost. It’s huge here, and I won’t take responsibility if you do.”
“Oh,” Jasmine followed him like a little lamb.
The place really was enormous, and she had a terrible sense of direction.
Joe demonstrated a few times for her, explaining as he went.
“Guess who taught me golf,” Joe smiled.
“The coach?”
“Not right.”
“Ha ha, your mom, right!” Suddenly remembering that woman, Jasmine laughed out loud.
“You guessed it right away, there’s really no suspense at all.”
“Your mom is really something, isn’t she? She knows how to do everything, right?” After all, she had never seen a middle-aged woman play games that well before.
“Can’t cook,” Joe admitted.
Jasmine laughed again: “Anyway, your family has chefs, right? Your mom doesn’t need to cook.”
“That’s true.”
“Your mom must really spoil you, right? I think she does.” Jasmine looked at him.
“Right, you got that right. My mom spoils me a lot. My old man is helpless with me; all he does is slap his thigh and complain. As I got older, my mom started traveling all around the world, enjoying herself but never taking me with her,” Joe spread his hands.
Jasmine laughed: “You’re definitely her own child.”
Like parent, like child, indeed.
“Were you always this happy from childhood? Never faced much adversity?” Jasmine asked curiously.
Joe swung his club and made a shot.

“Yeah, everything’s been smooth—good at studies, handsome, harmonious family. I could wrap scholarships around the golf course, girls chased after me, my career successful, a promising young man,” Joe grinned, “Basically a winner in life.”
“You must have saved the galaxy in your last life,” Jasmine said with a mix of admiration, envy, and resentment.
“If there’s a regret, of course, there’s one big regret; without it, I really wouldn’t have any troubles or setbacks,” Joe said.
“What?” Jasmine looked at him, curious.
“I never managed to win you over,” Joe shrugged, “My biggest failure.”
Jasmine laughed and patted his shoulder, “Because there’s someone more suitable for you waiting out there.”
Joe didn’t see it that way.
In the sunlight, Jasmine’s smile was particularly striking, displaying her pearly white teeth and shallow dimples.
