Fated love: the unwanted bride-Chapter 831 - : Dominating Her for Twelve Years
Chapter 831: Chapter 831: Dominating Her for Twelve Years
Unwilling to wake up?
As they chatted, Sylvan Cheney stopped at the entrance to the hospital room.
Pushing the door open, he immediately saw Jasmine Yale on the hospital bed.
Her face was pale, devoid of color, her arm punctured by several needles, leaving a dense patch of holes and purplish marks.
The caretaker had changed her into a clean hospital gown and tidied her hair.
Jasmine now looked clean and fresh, yet like a lifeless puppet.
...
“Has the fever gone down?” Sylvan Cheney asked.
“Not yet back to normal temperature,” the doctor said.
“You can leave now.”
“Yes.”
Sylvan Cheney strode into the room, and the doctor stood at the door to close it for him.
The spacious hospital room was bathed in sunlight, the curtains drawn halfway, filling the room with ample warmth.
“Jasy,” Sylvan Cheney sat at the bedside, his large, thick hand holding her small one, calling her name in a deep voice.
Due to the IV, her body was very cool, especially her hands.
Sylvan’s warm hands tightly grasped her small ones, trying to warm them.
He then adjusted her blanket and gently kissed her lips as he lowered his head.
Sunlight streamed through the curtain, casting light across the floor, reflecting a shallow gloss on it.
The storm had stopped, and the weather had suddenly cleared up.
Sylvan Cheney sat silently by her side, her fever had indeed significantly reduced, but she had not awakened yet.
He sat in silence, the hospital room quiet, not a sound to be heard.
Sylvan Cheney did nothing else but watch her, his gaze intensively fixed on her face, unshifted.
Minutes on the wall clock whizzed by.
After what felt like ages, Sylvan Cheney heard a gentle knock on the door.
He stood up and opened the door.

Unexpectedly, Joe Heath was there.
Joe Heath glanced at Sylvan blocking the doorway then at Jasmine on the bed not far away.
His icy gaze harshly stabbed at Sylvan.
Sylvan knew he had something to say, closed the door, and walked into the hallway.
Cold, disdain, and loathing replaced the optimism and fulfillment once visible on Joe’s face, his eyes cutting into Sylvan like knives!
“Brother, you took Jasmine from me, can’t you care for her even a little?” Joe Heath shouted angrily, furious.
Very angry!
Sylvan gave him a cold look, crossed his arms and leaned against the wall.
“What do you mean ‘took her from you’? She has always been mine.”
“Brother, can you not treat Jasmine with your business tactics? She’s too innocent! Look at you, what have you done to her? She’s lying in bed, where’s her lively spirit now?”
“My relationship with her is none of your business. Joe Heath, wasn’t my previous warning enough?” Sylvan said coldly.
“Stop using those threats on me, look, is Jasmine happy with you? I’ll tell you, when we were in Singapore playing by the sea, she was very happy. But since you forcibly kept her by your side, she hasn’t been happy at all!”
Sylvan sneered, disdainfully glancing at Joe Heath.
“Joe Heath, she was smiling with me when you didn’t even know where you were!”
“You’ve just possessed her for twelve years, and her life is still long. I can be with her forever, making her forget the twelve years she belonged to you!” Joe declared passionately.
“Don’t be naive, that’s impossible,” Sylvan said lightly, “The memories I’ve given her are etched in her bones.”
