Chapter 105: Chapter 105: Dreaming of You

Ethan Blackwood’s life history is like a thick book, filled with thrilling adventures and extravagant pursuits.

Yet, amidst his worldly experiences, he had never experienced a romantic relationship, and finally, he was tasting the sweetness of first love.

Upfront, Sean Jacobs was playing lively music, and Mia Hughes was munching on chips, "crunch, crunch," nonstop.

Meanwhile, he and Claire Shaw intertwined their pinkies. The young lady who once resisted his advances now clung to him like a vine wraps around a tree, her slender fingers gently entwining him, reminiscent of those intoxicating nights. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

The car raced along the coastal road, and the setting sun poured through the glass, casting its glow upon their entwined fingers.

Ambiguous, sweet.

Come to think of it, Ethan hadn’t seen Claire for a few days, and she seemed to be looking much healthier.

Her fair cheeks took on a faint rosy hue in the sunlight, her low neckline revealing her slender swan-like neck and delicate collarbones.

His gaze fell on Claire’s long, fair legs. He had noticed them the moment before she got into the car.

Beautiful, fair, straight.

Up close, they looked even more like white jade, invoking an inexplicable desire.

He felt this way, let alone anyone else.

The temperature inside the car was low, and without any barriers, it could get a bit chilly.

Claire noticed Ethan’s gaze on her legs. In the next second, warmth spread over her legs as he placed his coat on them.

"Cover up; it’s cold." His voice was deep and magnetic, causing Claire’s ears to turn warm.

"Thank you."

Mia Hughes, hearing the commotion, looked back with a mischievous grin, "Who knew, President Blackwood is quite the gentleman."

Ethan was wearing just a white shirt, the collar slightly open, supporting his chin with one hand, exuding a lazy air, even his voice was casual, "Just a small gesture."

Mia’s eyes glanced ambiguously over at Claire, who surprisingly didn’t reject Ethan’s goodwill, which was quite unusual.

Even if she were a fool, she would sense something was up.

The journey wasn’t short, and Claire unknowingly fell asleep against the window.

"Bang, bang!"

Her head knocked against the window repeatedly, and despite her deep sleep, she didn’t wake up, causing Ethan a headache.

Mia, having eaten and drunk her fill, also fell asleep in the front seat.

Ethan shifted his body slightly toward the center, and with a large hand, pulled Claire’s head to rest against his chest.

The familiar cool fragrance made Claire feel secure, and she rubbed her little face gently against his chest.

Ethan lowered his head and gently kissed the top of her head.

Claire loved roses, even her shampoo had a faint rose scent.

This intense scent wouldn’t appeal to Ethan on another woman, but on Claire, he loved to bury his face in her neck, savoring her rich scent, especially after she’d been sweating.

Claire had no idea how long she slept, but Ethan gently nudged her awake. She groggily opened her eyes.

Following his pointed finger, Claire’s eyes widened.

The sunset slowly sank beneath the horizon, infusing the entire sky with magnificent colors.

The ocean appeared exceptionally gentle under the sunlight, with the lively crowd faintly visible on the beach.

Children ran barefoot; young women dressed in swimsuits flipped their hair while boyfriends took photos; newlyweds held hands, capturing wedding photos; an elderly man walked hand in hand with his white-haired wife under the sunset.

Peaceful and beautiful scenes.

Claire’s drowsiness dissipated. She watched it all steadily, feeling her heart healing.

The car stopped at the beachfront villa. As Claire opened the car door and stepped out, she saw Sean bend down to place a kiss on Mia’s lips, "Awake now, my Sleeping Beauty princess."

How wonderful.

Mia’s first love was her true love, and Claire no longer distrusted Sean like she did before.

Night had fallen, and the sea was pitch-black, with the sea breeze seeping into the pores with a chill.

Mia, like a dog just let out for a walk, immediately darted onto the sand.

Sean quickly chased after her, "Take it easy, dear..."

Claire watched them run back and forth with a gentle gaze, the wind lifting the strands of hair by her ears.

"Are you cold?" Ethan’s voice came from the trunk.

Claire walked towards him.

The parking lot lights were dim. The man was bent over, his thin shirt outlining his robust back and long legs.

Claire mischievously hugged him from behind, pressing her cheek against his back.

Like a hugging bear, she softly said, "Now I’m not cold anymore."

Peel away her mask, and you’d find the real Claire, who is as pure as a child.

She loved to act spoiled.

Ethan turned around and picked Claire up effortlessly. She was like a doll in his hands.

Gently setting her down, Claire sat on the trunk, her fair legs dangling naturally at his trouser sides.

The chime on her ankle was crisp.

Jingle, jingle...

Ethan placed his hands on either side of her, his gaze deep and gentle, his voice slightly hoarse in the night breeze, "Luna, have you missed me these days?"

Claire felt like she was under Ethan’s spell. Though he hadn’t done anything yet, just being pinned down by his affectionate gaze made her body grow weak.

She extended her slender fingers, tracing over the man’s profound eyebrows, the high bridge of his nose, his thin lips, and his sharp jawline.

And that prominent Adam’s apple, which she found particularly captivating.

Her nails lightly scratched it, her voice small and soft, "I’ve missed you, dreaming of you."

Ethan touched her waist, drew closer, "Was it the kind of dream I think? Like this..."
