Falling in Love With My Arranged-Marriage Husband-Chapter 321 - 295 So Many Coincidences
Chapter 321: Chapter 295 So Many Coincidences
Ji Sang was stunned for a moment, confirming that Ah Xing inside the window was smiling at her, and she also pulled up the corners of her mouth to smile back.
And this smile successfully left the assistant behind her dumbfounded. Over the years, she rarely saw Ah Xing smile, especially towards a stranger.
The assistant looked at Ji Sang in amazement, wondering what kind of magic does she have?
Unable to figure it out, the assistant was momentarily frozen in place, and at that moment, she noticed Yong Qi who had just returned. Just as she was about to greet him, he quickly raised his hand to his mouth. The assistant just nodded slightly and quietly stepped back.
Yong Qi, with his hands clasped behind his back, watched the scene from a distance.
The person inside the window was looking at the person outside, smiling, and that smile seemed to brighten up the somewhat gloomy sky. Over the years, whenever the weather was bad, it was almost impossible to see a smile on Ah Xing’s face.
But today, she saw it.
Yong Qi’s hands behind his back gently rubbed together, thoughtfully looking at Ji Sang.
It was also strange that these two, without speaking a word, just looked at each other, and their smiles grew even more noticeable.
Yong Qi knew that given Ah Xing’s character, she probably wouldn’t take the initiative to speak.
After thinking for a moment, Yong Qi walked forward, standing next to Ji Sang.
Ji Sang’s eyes slightly moved, and she turned her head toward him.
"Uncle Yong, you’re back."
Yong Qi smiled and nodded, then looked towards the window. Hearing Ji Sang’s "Uncle Yong", Ah Xing seemed curious and looked at Yong Qi with bright eyes.
In the past, her eyes only shone like this when she looked at her own artwork.
Yong Qi felt a stir in his heart, his hand behind him clenched and then relaxed.
"This is my dear friend’s daughter."
Rare indeed, Ji Hanwen would probably never imagine that one day Yong Qi would refer to him as a ’dear friend.’
Ah Xing nodded her head a little, but didn’t say much.
Yong Qi clearly understood her well and chuckled,
"Would you like to come out and meet her?"
Ah Xing blinked and then looked at Ji Sang again, her eyes seeming to ask, "Can I?"
Ji Sang then smiled and pointed at a painting next to her,
"If possible, could you bring that painting for me to see?"
Without hesitation, Ah Xing looked at the nearly completed artwork and picked it up.
Seeing this, Yong Qi knew she had agreed.
"Let’s go to the tea room."
In the sanitarium, there was a tea room exclusive to Yong Qi.
Yong Qi led Ji Sang inside to find Ah Xing. When he opened the door of the studio, unexpectedly, he saw anticipation on Ah Xing’s face.
Yong Qi couldn’t help but sigh softly, whispering to Ji Sang,
"She seems to like you a lot."
Is this what’s called love at first sight?
After secretly trying hard for several years, he hadn’t achieved as much as Ji Sang did at their first meeting - easily earning Ah Xing’s smile and attention.
He’s over forty, and yet he’s feeling jealous of a young girl.
Yong Qi shook his head with this thought.
However, the other two in the studio were not paying attention to him.
Ah Xing was curiously sizing up Ji Sang, feeling inexplicably familiar and joyful inside.
And Ji Sang was stunned by the paintings in the studio.
Even more stunning than the last time she saw them in Yong Qi’s office.
There were a lot of paintings, over eighty percent of flowers, some colored, some not.
The key point is...
Every single one was a rose.
Ji Sang felt like waves were crashing in her heart, tumbling and splashing.
An vague impulse made her urgently want to confirm her guess. But when she tried to speak, the words seemed stuck in her throat.
Could it be possible? How could it be possible?
The person in front of her was much younger, and looked different.
Or could it be just someone else who also liked roses?
Perhaps it was Ji Sang’s expression that seemed a bit odd, causing Ah Xing’s eyes to shift from curiosity to confusion.
Yong Qi gently patted her shoulder, bringing Ji Sang back to her senses.
She smiled apologetically for her absent-mindedness.
It was then that Yong Qi formally introduced them.
"This is Ah Xing, and this is Ji Sang."
Ah Xing nodded.
Ji Sang, somewhat impatient, asked
"Do you really like painting roses?"
Ah Xing paused for a moment,
"Yes, when I have nothing else to do and don’t know what to paint, I end up painting roses."
"Is there a particular reason why you like roses so much?"
Ji Sang asked cautiously.
Talking about roses seemed to brighten Ah Xing’s smile.
"I just think roses are beautiful."
If she really had to give a reason, she couldn’t say.
"I see."
Ji Sang smiled, hiding a slight sense of disappointment, and then the three of them headed to the tea room.
Along the way, Yong Qi paid special attention to Ah Xing’s reactions, noting that although she spoke as little as usual, she seemed very eager and happy to get to know Ji Sang.
Yong Qi was curious about how the two would start their conversation.
Once in the tea room, Yong Qi began to lay out cushions and boil water for tea.
Ah Xing brought along the painting she hadn’t yet completed, and upon sitting down, spread it out.
The painting was still of a rose, but this time she had added a person.
Compared to the rose, the person beside it did not stand out much and if one did not look carefully, it would be hard to notice that there was a person at all.
It was drawn too small and abstract.
Ji Sang keenly noticed that the mindset when painting roses and people was different.
The strokes were messy.
"Do you plan to add color to this one?"
Ah Xing shook her head, lowered her hand, and turned to look outside the window.
Ji Sang also looked, and saw the dismal scenery outside due to the bad weather; Ah Xing’s calm features tensed into a frown upon viewing it.
Rumble—
The thunder started outside, and Yong Qi, who had been intently making tea, immediately put down the kettle and looked toward Ah Xing.
Ah Xing’s frown deepened, and Yong Qi walked over to the window, pulled the curtains shut, and directly helped Ah Xing up from her cushion.
Before Ji Sang could react, Yong Qi had already rushed Ah Xing out of the tea room.
After the two had left the tea room for a while, Ji Sang finally realized why when a helper arrived and whispered,
"Ah Xing doesn’t like thunderstorms; they give her headaches."
Ji Sang’s expression flickered.
She didn’t like thunderstorms either.
Ji Sang sat back down, picked up the kettle, and continued the steps Yong Qi hadn’t finished.
Making tea was supposed to be a calming activity, but Ji Sang felt somewhat distressed.
A few minutes later, Yong Qi returned to the tea room.
"It seems we won’t be able to chat with her today, she’s not feeling well."
Ji Sang stood up and kneeled on the cushion to pour Yong Qi a cup of tea.
"Is it a headache?"
"Yes."
Ji Sang’s eyes moved slightly,
"Did she have this problem before entering the sanitarium?"
