Fake Marriage To The Richest Tycoon-Chapter 47 Traumatized
Chapter 47: Chapter 47 Traumatized
It was the middle of the night when Qin Zhuzhu rushed back to the mansion. She broke into a sprint and burst into Shentu Jing’s room. What a shock she had! Han Juexian didn’t lie to her.
She saw Shentu Jing squatting on the floor, laughing softly to himself. He seemed to have laughed himself to exhaustion until there were tears slipping down his cheeks.
Han Juexian and Ding Yu didn’t dare to approach him. They were watching Shentu Jing act weird and crazy. Ding Yu gripped tightly to his brother Han’s sleeves from behind.
"Shouldn’t we call the doctor?" Ding Yu stuttered.
"No way! If we fetch the doctor, everyone will know that the boss’ health is not good. There will be more chaos and trouble!" Han Juexian took the phone away from Ding Yu.
Qin Zhuzhu cautiously stepped towards him. Then she squatted before him and called his name gently. The anger from before was gone when she saw his current state.
"Stinky Jing, it’s me. Are you okay?" She reached out to take his hands. It was bleeding after having smashed a vase to pieces.
He started laughing again as if she was something funny. Qin Zhuzhu moved back warily. Then, his laughter turned to hysterical and he started choking with sobs the next moment. Qin Zhuzhu was frightened half to death by him!
She wanted to run and hide somewhere, but she couldn’t leave him like this. So she followed her gut feelings. Qin Zhuzhu reached a hand out and stroked his cheek, slowly and gently.
After a few minutes, he calmed down. Shentu Jing gazed into her eyes. This time, the look in his eyes was soft and vulnerable. It felt as if time had slipped backwards to when he was a little boy.
Quietly and silently, she took the chance to bandage his hand. Then she took out a white tube from her purse.
She motioned for Han Juexian and Ding Yu to leave the room, who readily agreed.
"Don’t let anyone come in," she said. Han Juexian nodded and dragged Ding Yu out with him.
"I jumped out the window," Shentu Jing blurted out.
"W-what window?"
She squeezed the ointment on her fingers and took hold of Shentu Jing’s chin. She applied the ointment over his scar.
"I broke my ribs. It hurts," Shentu Jing pouted. Qin Zhuzhu chuckled softly. She thought he looked cute.
He wasn’t in the right state of mind, she realized. No wonder he acted like that earlier on. This wasn’t the Stinky Jing she knew.
"It won’t hurt anymore, as long as I’m here with you," she said to reassure him.
Shentu Jing nodded his head obediently. He hugged his knees and rocked back and forth on his heels. He started humming a tune. A strange familiar tune.
Isn’t this the song my mother taught me when I was young? How does he know it? Qin Zhuzhu wondered. However, she didn’t ask further. Instead, she joined in, humming along with him.
She helped him into bed and spreaded the quilt over him.
"Please don’t leave," Shentu Jing held her wrist. His eyes were pleading with her.
"I won’t leave you," she sat on the bed beside him and started humming the same tune from earlier.
She watched as he fell asleep, eyes closed peacefully. She cleaned the mess up and left quietly to find those two idiots.
Han Juexian perked up when he saw her approaching.
"How’s boss? Is he okay?!" A worried look crossed his face.
"He’s fine. Since his illness is so serious, why haven’t you hired a doctor? Or prescribe any medicine?" She asked.
Han Juexian turned away, looking down at the floor with a dejected expression.
"We can’t. Boss firmly ordered us not to. Those doctors might be working for the enemy. Boss always has a steady control over his illness. We have never seen him like this. I thought he went mad!"
"What do you mean?" Qin Zhuzhu asked. "How did he get this illness? Does his family know about this?"
"We already told you everything I know. This.... This has never happened before!" Han Juexian cried worriedly.
"They only know that boss has insomnia," Ding Yu piped up.
He kept it secret from his own family. But why? Aren’t they close with one another?
Qin Zhuzhu thought about what Han Juexian and Ding Yu told her that day. Shentu Jing’s illness started becoming worse when he was involved in a car accident ten years ago. He already had shown signs of insomnia when his mother died.
There was a time when a nine year old Shentu Jing tried to burn himself in his room because he wanted to accompany his mother in heaven.
Luckily, Shentu Ling came in time and saved him. Shentu Jing lied to them that he was playing with matches.
"I think he’s probably traumatized. People who survived accidents usually get traumatized, some even for life," she thought.
"Is it hard for him to sleep?" Qin Zhuzhu asked them.
"Uh.... Sort of. I know boss always wakes up in the middle of the night and takes a stroll in the garden," Ding Yu said.
"How come I don’t know?" Han Juexian inquired.
"Oh, because I was in the swimming pool playing with frogs, hehehe," Ding Yu chuckled mischievously.
"In the middle of the night. I would have thought you were spying on ladies,"
"Brother Han, I’m still young. I don’t want ladies, I only want candies,"
No wonder that day his father was pleased to see him sleep in my arms! Qin Zhuzhu finally understood why the family were looking at her like that.
The next morning, Shentu Jing was awakened by the chirping of birds outside the window. Ding Yu must have caught some birds and put them there again! Shentu Jing groaned.
He turned around and hugged his bolster. Weird. This bolster feels fleshy, soft and a little familiar. He reached up the bolster and felt around. How come the bolster feels different? Like a human’s face!
Shentu Jing sprang out from bed!
