Fake Marriage To The Richest Tycoon-Chapter 38: Paid it with my fist
Chapter 38: Chapter 38: Paid it with my fist
"So, tell me about what you did," Qin Zhuzhu said, shooting Sanya a suspicious look.
"What do you mean, what I did? I did nothing wrong," Sanya replied, avoiding eye contact with her.
She purposefully busied herself with arranging the newly bought vases and furniture. Sanya had taken Zhuzhu to live with her in her apartment. It had been a few days since the incident.
"Really? You were sneaking around in a torn dress when I came across you," Qin Zhuzhu stated.
Sanya let out an exasperated sigh. "Okay, but it wasn’t my fault. He came to me and demanded compensation because some stupid drone model near me crashed onto his head. Whoops," Sanya said, shrugging her shoulders and perfectly pushing the blame off herself.
"By the way, how did you know my dress was torn? Weren’t you unconscious?" Sanya asked, suspicious.
"Ah Xian told me," Qin Zhuzhu answered.
"Ah, now you’re calling him Ah Xian too," Sanya shot her a knowing look.
Qin Zhuzhu brushed her comment aside.
"I hope that man doesn’t come after you. Did you pay the compensation fee?" Qin Zhuzhu asked. She didn’t actually believe Sanya. With Sanya’s attitude, she was bound to attract unwanted trouble and attention.
"Nope, but I paid it with my fist. That kitten bastard wanted me to pay five thousand yuan," Sanya said, showing Qin Zhuzhu her clenched fist as a sign of her power.
"You what?! Punched him? Everyone there was either an influential person or someone with connections to the rich. I hope we’re not in trouble," Qin Zhuzhu said, freaking out.
If someone spotted her and recognized Sanya, she could be in serious trouble, and Sanya might even get fired. Not only that, but she didn’t want anything to happen to Sanya. Nothing must happen to Sanya, she told herself. Trouble-attracting magnet!
"What? Don’t worry about that. In the worst case, he’ll come after me, and I’ll punch him all over again. That good-for-nothing playboy—he looks more like a kitten to me," Sanya scoffed.
"I’m not worried about that. I’m worried about you. What happens if they sue you or send you to jail?" Qin Zhuzhu sighed and rubbed her forehead. Sanya was all muscles and knuckles. It would be better if she had a bigger brain, though sometimes she appeared smarter than she was.
As far as Sanya knew, many rich people pulled strings to send their rivals or enemies to jail. Sometimes, they could introduce fake charges to keep them behind bars forever. The thought of it scared Qin Zhuzhu as she worried about Sanya. But Sanya just shrugged it off, reassuring her that she’d be fine. It would be forgotten quickly.
"Don’t worry, it won’t be that easy to catch me. Have you forgotten what happened to those bullies at school?" she said.
Oh, right. Sanya was a black belt in karate. There was one time when some bullies—male and female—approached her. Instead of getting beat up or locked in a locker, the bullies were the ones who returned with bruises and black eyes. Sometimes, even Sanya’s mother worried: how would her daughter ever find a good man to settle down and start a family? With her temperament like a wild tigress, it would be a miracle if any man wanted her daughter’s hand.
Sanya went back to busying herself with the furniture arrangements while Qin Zhuzhu checked her Weibo for news updates. The screen of her phone was cracked when Han Juexian returned it to her.
Sanya had insisted on buying her a new one, but Qin Zhuzhu refused. She wanted to buy a new phone herself with her own money. She aimed to be self-sufficient and independent.
Ping! Qin Zhuzhu’s phone notification chimed. She had subscribed to a news company to stay up to date with the latest news.
"They said that Shentu Mingye, the youngest master of the prestigious Shentu family, was punched by a violent gangster woman," Qin Zhuzhu read aloud from her phone. freewebnøvel.com
"Ouch. That sounds terrible," Sanya casually remarked as she went about making breakfast for the both of them.
"I heard he has a black, panda-like eye. It happened at the same exhibition a few days ago. I wonder if we ever came across him," Qin Zhuzhu said casually, her eyes still on her screen, so she didn’t see Sanya freeze immediately at her words.
Why did it sound so similar to the situation with that narcissistic man? Maybe it was just a coincidence? Yes, just a coincidence. Never mind that. Sanya shrugged it off and continued to make coffee.
"Are you going to meet your extremely hot fiancé, Xiaozhu?" Sanya asked, handing her a cup of coffee and a plate of homemade sandwiches she had prepared.
Qin Zhuzhu thought about it for a while.
"I... I..."
"It seems like you and Stinky Jing hit it off perfectly. I think you should at least give him a call or text him. You should have seen how he looked that day when he carried you," Sanya said.
Qin Zhuzhu’s interest perked up.
"What do you mean?" she asked, sounding worried.
"You don’t know? That day, Stinky Jing risked his life to save you. He even offended a powerful CEO! He princess-carried you, and you scratched his cheek until it bled. Then he rushed over to the hospital and even personally bandaged your wound himself! Qin Zhuzhu, you are really foolish!" Sanya suddenly turned angry at this point.
She approached Qin Zhuzhu, her pupils trembling with anger.
"How could you try to kill yourself!? How stupid are you! How do you expect me to live if you were dead?! How could you do this?! How could you let us down?!" Sanya lost control of herself and shook Qin Zhuzhu hard.
Qin Zhuzhu hugged Sanya, and both friends cried and comforted each other. Zhuzhu regretted it already. What would have happened to her mother if she had died? She had been very selfish, only thinking about herself.
"Sanya, I’m sorry! I’m so—" Qin Zhuzhu sobbed.
Sanya patted her back and stroked her hair. Tears flowed down her cheeks as well.

"Miss Bai, it seems that the man failed to succeed with Qin Zhuzhu, that bitch," a man dressed in black said on the phone.
"That bitch is really hard to kill!" Bai Qianhua sneered. "Let’s wait and see."
