Fairy Tail Destiny-Chapter 63: Ch : God
Chapter 63: Ch 63 : God
Countless needles pierced into Nord's neck and wrists, injecting the necessary energy to sustain his bodily functions.
He lay silently on the operating table as researchers carrying various experimental instruments moved around him, preparing for the next phase of the experiment.
Hughes observed Nord with a satisfied smile. "Heh... what a perfect expression, what a perfect gaze—lifeless, hollow, emotionless. Yes, this is exactly what I believe a God should be. You will become the greatest deity, Nord Rutherford."
Nord remained silent, his dead, empty eyes fixed on the ceiling.
He didn't even glance at Hughes but suddenly spoke. "Hughes, you once said something, didn't you?"
"Hmm?" Hughes let out a questioning hum, unsure of what Nord meant.
"You once said... this place is the intersection between heaven and hell."
"Yes, I did say that." Hughes nodded, though he wasn't sure where the conversation was going.
Hearing this confirmation, a faint smirk curled at the corner of Nord's lips.
Then, that smirk widened—wider and wider—until it turned into a full-blown laugh.
"Hahaha... Hahahahaha!"
"What are you laughing at?" Hughes frowned, watching as Nord's face twisted into an unsettling smile.
Nord finally quieted down, but that eerie grin remained on his face. "Hey, Hughes... did you know? Sometimes, heaven and hell can switch places. One moment, it's heaven... and the next, it could become hell."
That sinister smile, combined with Nord's cryptic words, sent an icy chill down Hughes's spine.
A deep sense of unease crept into his heart, as if something ominous was seeping into his very soul.
For a brief moment, his thoughts came to a complete halt.
"Mr. Hughes, we're ready to begin."
The voice from the side snapped Hughes out of his daze.
"Alright, begin the procedure."
Hughes discreetly hid his sweat-drenched hands behind his back.
For the first time in his life, he experienced a peculiar sensation—an icy chill that he had once believed himself incapable of feeling.
Fear.
Noticing Hughes's reaction, Nord let out a faint chuckle and slowly closed his eyes.
Hughes retrieved a six-sided crystal, carefully inspecting it.
A researcher beside him asked, "Where should we implant the 'Divine Core,' Lord Hughes?"
Hughes's voice was cold and emotionless.
"The right eye."
-----------------
"Where... is this?"
When Nord opened his eyes again, what greeted him was a completely white space.
Up, down, left, right—there was nothing else.
Only white. A monotonous, almost nauseating, overwhelming whiteness.
Nord observed the scene calmly. (Nothing at all? No... if there's nothing ahead, then... )
Without hesitation, he turned around.
What met his gaze was a massive black door, towering over ten meters high.
No decorations. No patterns.
Yet, its mere presence exuded an aura of mystery and supreme authority.
At the top of the door, a gigantic, vertical eye stared down at Nord, unblinking.
"What... is this?" Nord murmured, staring at the eye.
Before he could react, the black door suddenly cracked open.
Countless shadowy arms surged out from the darkness within, seizing Nord and pulling him through the gap.
The world beyond the door was entirely different.
If the world Nord once knew was composed of matter, then this place was composed entirely of information.
It felt as if he had plunged into an ocean of pure data—countless strange symbols and glyphs formed intricate, cryptic texts and geometric shapes.
At that moment, Nord's mind felt clearer than ever before.
Concepts that had once eluded him now seemed as simple as basic arithmetic.
Answers emerged effortlessly with just a single thought.
Knowledge beyond imagination surged into his mind—
The birth and destruction of worlds.
The creation and rewriting of truth.
The connection between life and the soul.
The interchangeability of death and existence.
Everything—all of it—flooded into his consciousness, completely beyond his control.
It felt like only a second had passed, yet at the same time, it felt like an eternity.
When Nord regained his ability to think, he once again found himself standing before the black door.
Holding his forehead, he could still feel the overwhelming flood of information in his mind—an unbearable weight that threatened to burst his brain apart, proving that everything he had just experienced was real.
He could feel it—if he entered that black door again, he could obtain everything.
Truth.
Laws.
Power.
Everything.
Above the door, the giant eye shifted its gaze, its pupil rotating slightly as it stared down at Nord.
Then, without warning, a strange purple light shot out from the eye, descending directly onto him.
The moment the light enveloped him, a sensation like being struck by lightning surged through his entire body—but it was a hundred times more painful than any shock.
Even after everything he had already endured, this was unbearable.
"AAAHHHH!!!"
A scream of agony tore from his throat.
The electrifying sensation coursed through his body, converging toward his right eye.
His eye snapped open—within it, a purple hexagram slowly began to rotate.
At that moment, a hollow, emotionless voice echoed within his mind:
"A being... that does not belong to this world? Interesting. Very well... you have taken what is yours to take. Now, bear the curse of this eye, the eye bound by a contract with me. Live on, witness fate, and carry the weight of sin."
That was the last thing Nord heard before he lost consciousness.

"How is the experiment going?" Claude asked, looking at Nord, who lay motionless on the operating table after the hexagonal 'Divine Core' had been implanted into his right eye.
He turned to Hughes for an answer.
"I'm not sure. If he wakes up, it should mean the experiment was a success. After all, there's no precedent for this experiment succeeding." Hughes responded, his tone laced with some hesitation.
As they were talking, Nord's body suddenly emitted a brilliant, blinding white light.
Those nearby couldn't help but close their eyes, shielding themselves from the intensity of it.
When the light faded, the scene that met their eyes nearly caused them to stop breathing:

His once golden hair had transformed into pure, silver-white strands.
His right eye, once sky-blue, had turned a deep purple, with a hexagram slowly rotating within it.
Six wide, white wings extended from his back.
The overwhelming presence radiating from him gave off an aura of supreme authority, as if he were a being above everything else.
(A God!)
The word flashed through everyone's mind simultaneously.
