Fairy, Don't Be Afraid, I Am Blind-Chapter 47 - 41: Junior Sister, You Seem to Have Gained Weight
"So according to you, the skirt was chosen entirely by the shop owner? And you knew nothing about it?"
Ji Lingruo sat upright on the chair, her gaze unfriendly. One hand gripped the hilt of a sword, while the other hand rubbed the wooden sword back and forth as if ready to chop something with it.
Under the lamp’s glow, her luminescent legs crossed elegantly. The very short gauzy skirt draped from the base of her thighs. Above the skirt’s waistband, her waist was daringly bare, revealing the slender and subtly powerful curve of a young girl’s waistline. The curve rose upwards, wrapped by a silk bustier adorned with tassels, whose intricate decorations seemed to capture everyone’s attention.
Except for the blind.
The whole outfit didn’t look indecent but rather displayed the beauty of a woman’s figure openly.
You Su stood honestly by the table, feeling his junior sister’s disdainful gaze piercing his back:
"Just a little bit, I only knew a little bit."
"Ha, so it was you who chose it after all!" Ji Lingruo slammed the wooden sword onto the table with a loud "thud," wearing a face that had long seen through You Su.
"It really wasn’t! I only touched the fabric, I can’t feel the entire dress from top to bottom, right? The shop owner didn’t describe it as exposing the waist either!" You Su quickly explained.
Suddenly enlightened, You Su said with an earnest face:
"Besides, junior sister, what would a blind guy like me buy you this kind of dress for? I can’t see it anyway!"
Seeing You Su unable to defend himself, Ji Lingruo found it amusing, but inside, she criticized: Even if you can’t see, you can still feel it!
So she teased playfully, "So that means if you could see, you would buy it?"
You Su was completely speechless, resorting to wordplay, huh?
He knew well that his junior sister wasn’t truly angry about him buying such an outfit; otherwise, she wouldn’t have worn it to meet him alone. She just found teasing him amusing, and he happily played along with her interrogation game.
However, the junior sister’s repeated provocations had left You Su with no room to retreat. Isn’t there any fault on your part, junior sister, on this matter?
"I would buy it."
Suddenly, You Su dropped his accommodating demeanor, and his presence suddenly turned confident and towering.
Ji Lingruo was caught off guard by You Su’s sudden transformation; she instinctively raised her sword in front of her chest, surprised that this dead-serious blind guy, who always pretended to be a gentleman, admitted to such a thing. Wasn’t that indirectly admitting he had feelings for her...?
Ji Lingruo felt a bit nervous. The boy in front of her now seemed like the big bad wolf from a story You Su once told, having shed its disguise. She leaned back slightly, trying to maintain a calm facade:
"Hmph, if you’d admitted it earlier, I... wasn’t mad at you anyway. The dress is quite pretty; it’s just not something to wear out... You chose well, but don’t buy it next time..."
But You Su wasn’t about to let Ji Lingruo off so easily. He pressed forward, and with each little step he took, Ji Lingruo leaned back further.
"And what about junior sister? Why did you dare to wear such clothes into your senior’s room? If I could see, would you dare to wear them here?"
This question made Ji Lingruo’s face flush as red as blood. She shrank back, not daring to answer. Indeed, if You Su weren’t blind, she couldn’t have dared to wear this outfit here. His blindness was what allowed Ji Lingruo the courage to tease him freely.
When she wore it, she anticipated You Su’s reaction would be like a startled bird, but she wanted to see You Su struggling between his outward propriety and inner cheekiness, wanting him to tear down his guise with his own hands.
After all, they’re about to part soon. If she couldn’t get him to express his feelings, how could she be satisfied?
But why was she scared seeing him looking like he was about to confess?
"Why isn’t junior sister saying anything?"
You Su stopped, smiling knowingly, understanding Ji Lingruo’s mix of naivety and mischief better than anyone.
Unexpectedly, Ji Lingruo’s beautiful eyes suddenly shone with a decisive light, the timid look vanished from her face, replaced by sly confidence.
She straightened her posture, exchanging the cross of her legs, revealing a larger expanse of creamy skin. She raised her gaze towards You Su’s eyes and said flatly:
"Of course, I dare, why wouldn’t I? But do you dare to look?"
"?"
You Su was momentarily perplexed, shocked: Junior sister, are you serious?
Seeing You Su’s flustered expression, Ji Lingruo felt great satisfaction, snickering before standing up, her aura undiminished despite being half a head shorter than You Su:
"Too bad someone can’t do it, wanting to look but can’t see."
You Su remained silent, acknowledging his defeat in this round, but it was not because he was weak. He knew well about the quiet sorrow the girl in front of him bore, trying to find safety in his proximity. To break the emotional barrier now would be to take advantage of her.
You Su silently promised himself that no matter if his junior sister would accept it or not, he would confess his feelings once her eyesight was restored.
Seeing You Su’s silence, Ji Lingruo thought she had crossed the line, softly said:
"I wasn’t mad about the dress, so why are you silent? I... I actually quite like it. By the way, are you still teaching this Qi Movement or not?"
You Su snapped back to focus, "Junior sister, don’t you want to change into another outfit first?"
Ji Lingruo turned her head slightly, her voice like a mosquito’s buzzing, "Didn’t you say before when I complained about feeling nothing in thick skirts, that the first thin dress had better auxiliary effects, and thick skirts are not only laborious but thankless for you. Since it relates to the thickness, this time might as well... try it without clothes... but on the condition that you be careful..."
You Su tilted his head, frowning as he apologetically asked, "Junior sister, could you say that again? I didn’t catch it."
Ji Lingruo was so mad she kicked You Su’s shin, "If you keep pretending, I won’t talk to you!"
This cheeky senior brother, who just experienced a setback, immediately sought revenge; truly infuriating, she should never be soft-hearted with him!
"Are you teaching or not!"
"I’ll teach, I’ll teach. Let’s review from the first move. Assume the position." You Su stepped aside, focusing intently on observing the flow of each strand of Profound Qi in his junior sister’s body.
"Didn’t you say? To go up first, then down."
"You have to focus and tighten your abs, settle the Qi first."
You Su pointed and instructed at the girl dressed like a Dunhuang fairy.
"..."
Ji Lingruo gritted her teeth, heavily doubting You Su was intentionally making her speak up, feeling embarrassedly annoyed:
"If I could do it, why would I need you to teach? You should lend a hand!"
"Oh, oh."
"Ah! You, don’t you dare tremble!" 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
"I wasn’t trembling, it was junior sister who was trembling!"
"Where was I trembling? It was clearly you trembling!"
"I really wasn’t trembling."
"It’s you!"
"Fine, fine, it’s me, it’s me."
You Su inadvertently felt the weight on the back of his fingers, cautiously saying:
"Junior sister, why does it feel like you’ve... put on weight?"
"Get lost!"
