Extra's POV: My Obsessive Villainous Fiancee Is The Game's Final Boss-Chapter 73: Here’s Your Room
The Ross and Underwood procession arrived at the gates of the Underwood manor just as the sun kissed the horizon, preparing for its descent.
Unlike the other grand manors of wealthy noble families they’d seen on the way, the manor was not overly lavish, but there was no denying that it was elegant in its own way.
It was a well-built stone residence with ivy creeping up its outer walls, wide courtyards, and polished wooden doors. It looked like it had seen several generations of Underwoods without having the overindulgence of unnecessary splendor.
Ren took a deep breath, stepping down from the carriage.
The estate was more… conspicuous than what he had expected, yet it did not scream excess.
Lilith, standing beside him, was just as appreciative.
"This is my first time seeing it too." She admitted, her voice tinged with wonder. "I was never allowed to leave Underwood lands before."
Ren turned to her, surprised. "Not even for visits?"
She shook her head, crossing her arms. "Father said it was for my safety. But I think it was just to keep me hidden."
Ren studied her for a moment, knowing that what her family thought of her had once shaped her world. Thankfully, that was not the case anymore.
But here, standing at the entrance of her family’s capital estate, she was just as much a newcomer as he was.
"Come on." Lilith said, grabbing his wrist with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Let’s explore."
And explore they did.
The corridors had polished wood floors, making their footsteps echo as they walked. Ren had expected something extravagant inside to showcase the standing of the Underwood family, but there’d surprisingly been none.
There were no obnoxious tapestries or decorations. While the estate was large, it was not overwhelming. It was evident that whoever had designed the place had valued function over vanity.
The first stop was where Ren would be staying, a spacious but simple room in one of the wings of the manor. The bed was sturdy and large, the windows overlooked a small courtyard, and the fireplace in the corner had already been prepared in case the night turned cold.
Lilith frowned as she took in the space. "It’s too far."
Ren arched an eyebrow. "Too far from what?"
"From me." She turned on her heel. "I’m finding my room."
Ren chuckled, shaking his head as he followed her through the halls. Eventually, they arrived at Lilith’s room.
It was slightly larger than his, decorated with soft colors and a canopy bed, though just as practical in its layout. She looked around, then turned to the servant waiting by the door. "Move me closer to Ren’s room."
The servant blinked. "Lady Lilith, your room was prepared here in accordance with—"
"Move me closer to Ren’s room." She repeated in a voice that made it clear there was no room for discussion.
The servant hesitated, then nodded and hurried off to make the arrangements.
Ren shook his head, amused. "You really don’t like distance, do you?"
"Nope." She admitted freely. "Next."
The next stop was the kitchens, where the household staff was already preparing for the evening meal.
The scent of fresh bread and roasting meat filled the air as cooks moved about, cutting vegetables and stirring pots. Lilith had no hesitation in walking straight in, nodding in approval as she surveyed the space.
"This is good. They’ll be able to prepare food quickly for you."
Ren gave her an incredulous look. "Are you inspecting the kitchen just to make sure I eat?"
"Yes." She said simply. "You need food."
Ren chuckled, shaking his head as the staff awkwardly pretended not to eavesdrop. "Lilith, I can manage my own meals."
"Clearly not well enough."
The head cook stepped forward, bowing slightly. "Would the young lord and lady care for something before dinner is served?"
Lilith looked to Ren expectantly.
Ren sighed. "Fine. Something small."
A few moments later, they were walking through the halls again, Lilith nibbling on a pastry while Ren ate a skewer of grilled meat. She seemed pleased with herself.
Then, after weaving through several side halls and climbing a narrow spiral staircase, they emerged onto the rooftop terrace.
The view took Ren’s breath away.
Steadfast sprawled out before them in layers of tall stone buildings, noble estates with well kept and beautiful gardens, and lively marketplaces.
In the beautiful light of the setting sun, the city looked like a living beast, the roads acting as veins and the people the lifeblood of the city.

They stood in silence, enjoying the view in front of them.
A few minutes later, Ren’s gaze drifted toward the coliseum, the site of the King’s Tournament.
Lilith followed his eyes. "That’s where you’ll win."
Ren huffed a quiet laugh. "Confident, are we?"
Lilith turned to him with her usual brand of intensity. But this time, it wasn’t scary. It was almost… reassuring. "I know you’ll win."
He looked at her with a smile on his face. There was no doubt in her eyes. She truly believed it.
"Even if I have to fight some of the best Knights in the kingdom?"
"Wouldn’t you all be Rank 3 Knights and below?" Lilith smirked. "They’ll just make it interesting for you."
Ren walked forward, leaning against the balcony’s edge. "Sometimes, I doubt myself. I know why I’m competing, but does it really matter? What do I even have to prove?"
Lilith tilted her head. "You don’t have to prove anything to me."
Ren glanced at her. "But to everyone else? I’m just a third son. I won’t inherit a title. I won’t have lands. This might be my only chance to make significant sums of money, and it’ll all go to my family. In fact, I have nothing to offer you, Lilith."
Lilith frowned at his words before stepping closer, resting a hand on his shoulder. "You think I care about any of that?"
"It’s reality." Ren said, looking back at the city. "What am I supposed to be to you? The husband of Lilith Underwood? The man who owns nothing but leaves his wife at home to fight against the world?"
Lilith rolled her eyes. "Ren, you could have nothing but the clothes on your back, and I would still choose you. I don’t want lands or titles. I just want you."
He swallowed, something warm stirring in his chest. "That’s not how nobility works."
"Then I don’t care for nobility." Lilith’s voice was soft but resolute. "We’ll make our own way. Together."
Ren turned fully to her, searching her face. The conviction in her eyes made his heart tighten. She truly meant every word.
He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "You’re impossible."
Lilith smiled. "And you won’t change a thing about me."
Ren chuckled, shaking his head. "Yeah."
"And don’t think I forgot you mentioned that you’re leaving me behind to fight." Lilith grinned at him. "Because wherever you’re going, I’m coming with you."
"And there’s nothing I could do to stop you, is there?"
"Nope." She leaned into his side, resting her head against his shoulder. "Better get used to it."
And so they stood, watching the city below as the day slowly transformed into night.
And Ren was eternally grateful for the fact that the future was not set in stone.
