Chapter 11: Novaris City

The next day, Noah woke up early in the morning at 4 a.m. sharp.

After taking a nice hot bath, he got dressed, wearing a black short-sleeve T-shirt. Over it, he put on a dark brown leather jacket. He wore dark blue jeans and, lastly, white shoes.

He looked at himself in the mirror.

His soft snow white hair were short and messy. Which looks good. Whike crystal clear blue eyes.

"No matter what I wear... I just look too handsome."

A stupid smile formed on his face. He wasn’t being narcissistic... okay, he was really being narcissistic. But it was not his fault. The young man standing in front of the mirror was just too good-looking.

He was extremely handsome.

"Alright, let’s go now."

Noah had already stored his bag and other belongings in his storage ring.

He walked toward the apartment door and stepped out, closing it behind him.

He had already informed the landlord that he would be leaving today. So he went to the counter at the ground-floor entrance. He pressed a button at the counter, and soon a lady in her thirties came out.

He handed her the keycard. Saying goodbye to her, he left the building.

"Now... I should catch the train."

He walked again in the direction of the bus stand. Though he had a good amount of money, he decided to travel by train rather than using the teleportation gates. They were really expensive, but that didn’t mean Noah couldn’t afford them. He had enough money for it.

He wanted to see the city better, so he chose the long way.

---

"Humm..."

The fast train slowly came to a stop at the platform of Novaris City.

With a soft mechanical sound, the doors of the train slid open smoothly.

Passengers began stepping out one after another. From the general compartments, people who had traveled short distances exited first. Office workers heading to their jobs, young teenagers on their way to school, and a few couples who seemed to have come to the city for a date.

Those who had traveled long distances came from the reserved coaches, carrying luggage and looking slightly tired from the journey.

From one of those coaches, Noah Eldritch stepped out onto the platform.

The moment both his feet touched the ground, the train doors behind him closed automatically with a sharp hiss. A second later, the platform screen doors slid shut as well, sealing the edge securely.

A warning tone rang out. Then the train began to move again, slowly at first before accelerating down the tracks and disappearing into the distance.

Noah glanced around.

The platform of Novaris City Station was spotless and modern. The floor gleamed under bright white lights. Large digital panels displayed schedules in clean blue text. Transparent glass barriers and sleek steel pillars gave the entire place a futuristic yet elegant design.

He felt a flicker of excitement. It was Saturday afternoon. It had taken hours to reach here.

He had taken the early morning train from Crythos, and after hours of travel, he had finally arrived.

"This place... is amazing," he muttered softly.

After exiting through the ticket gates, he stepped outside the station and into the city.

The view made him pause.

Novaris City was truly beautiful. Tall glass buildings reflected the afternoon sunlight. Wide roads were lined with trees, and clean sidewalks stretched neatly in every direction. The air felt lively yet organized. Busy, but not chaotic.

"Now that’s some amazing architecture... man, if I can see such things, how can I hate this world?"

Then he sighed. Suddenly, memories of his family came to him. Not from this world, but from his past world.

He shook his head, trying to put those thoughts aside. Noah pulled out his mobile and checked the map.

The academy was not within walking distance, but a bus route led to a stop close to it.

He followed the directions toward the nearby bus station. Within a few minutes, he reached the designated stop and waited.

The city traffic moved smoothly around him. Soon, a bus arrived with a soft hydraulic sigh.

Noah stepped inside and paid the fare using the machine beside the driver. After confirming the payment, he walked down the aisle and took a window seat.

The bus moved again.

Through the window, he watched the city pass by commercial districts shifting into quieter areas with larger buildings and open spaces.

"I still have tomorrow as a free day. I can explore this city tomorrow. Then the academy will start on Monday. Well, good thing that students are allowed to go outside the academy campus area."

Noah was happy about that. This whole city basically belonged to the academy.

It was Novaris Academy that had been built on land where there was nothing many years ago. Soon, many companies and industries sponsored the academy, opening their businesses here. Most of them belonged to the academy. With time, this place turned into a huge city named after Novaris Academy – Novaris City.

It took around ten minutes to reach his destination.

The bus slowed and stopped. Noah stepped down onto the pavement and once again checked the map on his phone.

"Just a little further."

He followed the indicated route, walking down a broad road lined with tall trees.

And then he saw it. His eyes widened in shock.

The academy stood proudly at the end of a wide stone pathway.

A massive iron gate marked the entrance, intricately designed with elegant patterns woven into its structure.

Beyond it stretched a vast campus. Expansive lawns, towering academic buildings built from white stone, and tall spires that reached toward the sky.

The main building stood at the center like a palace.

Large arched windows reflected the sunlight. Banners bearing the academy’s emblem fluttered gently in the wind. The architecture was a perfect blend of classical grandeur and modern refinement.

It radiated prestige, showing off its power and telling its own history.

Noah stood there quietly for a moment, staring at it.

"So... this is the Novaris Academy."

A faint smile formed on his lips. A new Chapter was about to begin.
