Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 58: Plans for the Future
Talent is an essential notion, but it differs according to races. Among beastkins, physical talent dominates, while for humans, it is defined by the ability to perfectly absorb mana and retain it without dispersing it.
Talents for becoming a mage are divided into five categories: Mediocre, Average, Superior, Epic, and Legendary. All beastkins are classified as Mediocre. Human commoners are most often Mediocre or Average.
Nobles frequently reach Superior or Epic levels. As for elves, none fall below Superior talent, and the seven legendary families are distinguished by mostly Legendary talent.
Awakening, whether warrior or magical, always occurs in the same way: a person at least fifteen years old must absorb the mana from a mana stone. The higher the individual’s talent, the more transparent and luminous the stone becomes during absorption. If the talent reaches at least Superior level, the most compatible elemental attribute with the person clearly manifests.
There also exist beings capable of walking both paths at once: Magical Warriors. These individuals possess both awakened aura and a mana circle, allowing them to combine the raw power of warriors and the versatility of mages.
Beyond these ordinary paths, an ultimate stage exists: Genesis. It is a state of absolute transcendence where a warrior or mage surpasses mortal limits. Those who reach this level are called Transcendents.

Two months later...
The morning damp cold still clung to the stones of the training courtyard when Kaiser finished his last series of strikes. Sweat, produced by intense effort, trickled down his neck in a warm and heavy stream. He stopped only at the precise moment when the tip of his blade, after a final movement, became perfectly still, suspended in the motionless air of early dawn. The weapon then seemed frozen by a force transcending mere physical effort.
He then breathed deeply, the cool air filling his burning lungs.
And it was at that moment that a singular shiver ran through his muscles, a wave of endogenous power that did not come from effort.
A subtle pale blue glow briefly emanated from his skin, seeming to radiate from within before fading immediately.
[Aura: Rank E-]
Little by little, he was advancing in his mastery of aura. He felt the aura not as a force to constrain but as a current flowing naturally through his organism, following the flow of his blood and the rhythm of his tendons. The sensation was both euphoric but could easily turn into the most atrocious pain.
He slowly closed the fingers of his free hand. His fist, under the effect of this energy condensation, became so heavy that the joints cracked weakly, like wood subjected to extreme pressure.
He had finally crossed a stage. A tiny step, insignificant in the eyes of the vast world where the powerful manipulated elements and defied the heavens. But for him, it was a huge leap.
These last two months had been nothing but an endless cycle of pushing to absolute exhaustion. Not a single day without his body crying for mercy, without superficial injury, without stabbing pain, without swallowing the bitterness of a regenerative potion just to continue. He knew it: he was still not powerful. He possessed no innate gift, no exceptional talent springing forth without effort.
He only had raw instinct, a mind that obstinately refused to stop, and a cold determination forged and growing through the ordeal of each week.
And sometimes, in the silence following effort, a worried thought crossed him. He worried himself about the nature of this coldness, this ability to ignore suffering and push his limits without joy, without passion, only by a will of steel.
"Am I going to become a masochist?"
Where would it lead him? What version of himself would emerge from this relentless forge?
He remembered how he had manipulated Jessica Karlton.
How he had charmed Duchess Donoghan before kissing her, all to piss off Kris.
He took a morbid pleasure in it... And even now...
"I cannot back down. I don’t care if I become a genocidaire, a manipulator, or anything else. Without power yet, I can only try to survive with my psyche."
He wiped his blade and sheathed it, then opened the small mental interface his system projected to him.
[Kaiser D. Paragon]
Level: Warrior
Aura: E-
Mana: Null
Talent: Mediocre
[Skills:
Cold Blood (A – 80%)]
[Aura Techniques:
— Fluid Sword
— Sharp Cut
— Dash
— Aura Coating]
It was not enough. He was perfectly aware of it.
"I lack a skill that would help me compensate for my lack of talent. Because one day, I will face prodigies. The academy housed the monsters of the new generation. Even the protagonist was not yet at level."
Kaiser thought of that bastard Pendragon...
He left the courtyard, walked slowly in the Paragon family garden, where Lyria’s white flowers had begun to bloom early, surely influenced by the new fertilizers I popularized. After all, I come from a modern world with much more advanced agricultural techniques.
Servants passed by, some giving him fearful looks, others avoiding his eyes.
It was normal. Since the Isaak affair, rumors circulated that he was insensitive. And had not hesitated to make his brother disappear to become the heir to the richest county in Alexandria.
And he had to admit that, sometimes, it was true.
Cold Blood at A rank 80% was wreaking havoc on his psyche. But he did not pay too much attention. It was a bit annoying when he became colder and colder. But there were much more pressing problems.
He entered the family library, a private lounge where no one dared disturb him, except his father.
He placed a few books on the table: and especially his to-do list.
In a while, he would have to leave for the academy and therefore had to increase his strength by any means. The main characters of the original work were not to be taken lightly, and he had to quickly find a way to bridge the power gap.
The essential was to wait for C- warrior rank before entering the academy in about three years...
"The academy being a fucking den for political stakes. I should not join one of the twelve factions... Should I create one?"
"Impossible, my lineage is not prestigious enough, and I would get crushed. I am neither from the seven legendary families nor from an Elven clan. Anyway, I’ll think about it later." 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Kaiser ran his hand over his beardless chin.
"Fuck, besides the elixir of life. I cannot get my hands on any artifact. Will I have to become a dog to those bastards?"
Kaiser Paragon was not going to content himself with following the story...
"Even if I have to become their dog, I’ll cause chaos." Some interesting ideas bloomed in his mind because he knew many things about the future, certain secrets of these prodigies...
