-Boom!

Skillfully evading another explosive potion thrown by Ivar, Aiden dashed backwards again.

However, by using his [Earthgrasp] spell almost simultaneously, Ivar launched his big earthen palm towards Aiden who he had been battling with for the past two minutes now.

Aiden on the other hand, all while still holding Caroline in his arms, tensed his calves and jumped up into the air again.

The orange-haired youth however extended the length of the rocky palm which was now beneath Aiden and switched its movement into a grabbing motion.

In response, Aiden used his [Compression] spell, compressing the gravitational space around the large earthen palm and causing its weight to increase, thereby preventing it from being able to extend any further.

Following this, the emerald green-eyed youth then landed on the palm that was trying to push back against the increased weight around it, all while giving Ivar a smug smirk, beads of sweat on his face.

Ivar in response, returned Aiden’s smile with a similar one and retrieved another explosive position, immediately planning to discontinue his spell while simultaneously throwing the explosive potion.

Before he could actually do that though, both he and Aiden along with Caroline who was still in the youth’s arms, watched as their smartwatches began to beep.

Perplexed by this sudden mail from someone in the middle of their important exercise, Aiden and Ivar had confused looks on their faces, their battle halted for a moment.

Caroline who was now quite curious though, clicked on the mail that was sent to her, all while Aiden was still carrying her.

Upon reading the contents of the mail quickly, the ruby-eyed lady let out a few words with a sulky expression.

"Awww… and I was really enjoying being a victim…"

-Sigh…

"Guess it’s time I also did something more worthwhile…" she remarked with a sigh.

Following this, the lady motioned for Aiden to place her down, confusing both Ivar and Aiden himself even further.

Caroline however, reluctantly got herself down from Aiden’s arm with a slightly sad pout and then, turned around to begin running towards the area of the training grounds the mail directed her too.

Before she actually began running though, the lady turned around to Aiden and Ivar and said to them, her expression now lively again.

"You both should probably also check your smartwatches…"

"As for me… Mama’s gotta earn even more credit!" she declared with an excited grin.

The moment she was done speaking, she immediately retrieved her bladed whip from her spatial ring and quickly dashed towards where she was instructed too.

The two youths who were watching as she left, quickly flipped their smartwatches on and upon reading the messages that were sent to them too, Ivar promptly began to dash over while following Caroline.

Aiden on the other hand just sighed at the contents of the message, while thinking to himself.

"What are you up to again Flynn…"

Snapping Aiden out of his thoughts however were the shouts of the previous male cadets who were chasing him just about three minutes ago as they cried out from afar.

"There he is!"

"Get him!"

Due to Aiden’s back facing them, they all were not able to realize sooner that he was no longer carrying Caroline.

As a result, all the cadets chasing him were quite surprised, and also partly scared when they saw Aiden turn around to face them with only his greatsword in his hand, a devilishly wicked glint in his eyes.

"Payback time!" Aiden said to all of them with a merry tone.

Considering the male cadets knew that Aiden was being handicapped due to constantly having to carry Caroline around, they had gotten quite cocky.

That was why they had kept ganging up on him, despite knowing fully well that they could split themselves evenly to chase all the villains that had abducted their victims.

But now that Caroline was no longer in his arms or around the vicinity he was in, they all involuntarily gulped, a single though swirling in their minds.

’Yep. We’re totally fucked!’

Instantly, they watched Aiden dash towards them, his greatsword sending most of them flying with a single hit like a rampaging demon who was summoned from the fiery depths of hell.

Ivelia was currently smiling triumphantly while looking around her.

Sitting on the big hexagonal crystal that was currently floating a few centimeters above the ground, she was able to get a fairly wide view of everything that was going on around her in the field.

By spilling her potions a few meters around them in wide circular splotches onto the field, she was able to give a few cadets with mostly supportive spells an opportunity to maintain strong defensive barriers.

There were six cadets that were close to the crystal, of which about three were currently also maintaining three transparent barriers around the crystal in a small dome.

The other three however, used their own spells to support the barrier-casters with their [Augmentative Series] that reduced the cost of mana they were using to constantly maintain the barrier spells.

The remaining cadets however, which numbered in around thirty, were solely focused on pushing back the cadets playing the role of the villains, completely confident in the absolute defense provided by the orange-haired lady and the few other cadets behind them.

As Ivelia kept watching the cadets battle it out, she spotted about three cadets, tentatively walking inch by inch between the splotches in an effort to get to the barrier, their bodies seemingly covered by a layered hue of mana.

In response to these, the young lady calmly muttered a spell, one of her arms outstretched.

"[Earth Series: Tremor]"

-Grrrgggkk!!

Suddenly, the ground beneath the cadets trembled greatly like an earthquake, albeit a very small and localized one.

This in turn, caused the cadets to lose their balance and fall straight onto the splotches, resulting in a few small explosions.

-Boom!

-Boom!

-Boom!

Following those few explosions, the orange-haired lady once again glanced towards where Adrian, Beatrice and Flynn were battling it out with their adversaries.

Flynn in a split moment while fighting a particular cadet, had his green-aquamarine eyes meet with Ivelia’s and as soon as it did, she flashed him a triumphant smile.

This caused him to lightly smile with a proud expression on his face, all while returning his attention back to the cadet he was clashing with in an instant.

Ivelia then watched on as Flynn, Adrian and Beatrice exchanged a few comments between each other, seemingly discussing how they were going to destroy the crystal she and the other cadets were protecting.

Following that, her attention was once again drawn to Flynn as he clashed with Lucas, both of them seemingly exchanging a few words between each other.

As she viewed the expression on his face while he was battling with Lucas, she watched his expression transition from relaxed to thoughtful and then, finally, a legitimately devious grin.

’Uh oh… That’s not good! That’s not good at all!’ Ivelia thought to herself.

The lady then watched as Flynn dashed backwards after a few more minutes had passed while asking Beatrice to cover him for a few seconds from Lucas’s attacks, to which the princess promptly responded.

Now, as he stood still for a few seconds, his [Force Field] spell protecting him from the attacks a few of his classmates were launching at him, she watched him begin to type something onto his smartwatch.

Following about a few more seconds after that, Flynn stopped tapping on his smartwatch and just before resuming his battle, aimed a slightly smug smirk in her direction.

’What machinations has he got planned now?’ she thought to herself, a slight frown adorning her beautiful features.

She however did not have the luxury of time to think about Flynn’s schemes due to the fact that one of the barriers was suddenly beginning to weaken.

Both the cadet maintaining the barrier and the one supporting her with his [Augmentative Series], were already looking quite spent as a result of their mana levels approaching depleted rates.

They had been maintaining the barrier for over one hour and a few minutes after all and they would continue to do so despite how immensely tired they were getting because victory was in their sights.

Ivelia upon seeing this, quickly retrieved two mana recovery potions and threw it to both them, something both youths were immensely grateful for.

Now, after ensuring that her fellow heroes were much better, Ivelia swiftly refocused her attention onto the battle taking place just before them.

This time however, her gaze travelled over into the distance for only a split second but as she did, the lady soon noticed about three other cadets running over from afar in the distance.

The young lady in an effort to clearly view the cadets that were running over, cupped her hands above her eyes and upon clearly seeing who they were, had her eyes widen in confusion.

"What the hell…" she muttered as she watched Caroline, Ivar and Bryan, all dashing towards their portion of the field at immense speeds.
