Exiled!? Ha! I have An Infinite Space-Chapter 82 -
Someone had already gone to call the head guard, who was resting with his men.
"What?" he asked, clearly stunned. "Children were swept away too?"
He frowned.
"Just five minutes of rest and that family has already started trouble again... what is going on now?"
The guards behind him laughed lightly.
"We should go and check, sir," one of them said.
He nodded.
"Let’s go."
They all headed toward the riverbank where everyone had gathered.
...
Bai Ming walked straight to Li Manman and stopped in front of her.
"I will ask you once," she said.
"Did you push my children into the river?"
Her voice rose sharply.
"Answer me."
Li Manman frowned.
"I already told you," she said. "I did not push them."
She crossed her arms slightly.
"Yes, I called them over, but they slipped and fell. That is not my fault."
Her voice turned cold.
"You should be thanking me for calling for help, not accusing me of trying to kill your children."
She scoffed.
"You are truly ungrateful."
The moment those words left her mouth, the air became tense.
Everyone could feel it.
Something was about to happen.
And Bai Ming did not disappoint.
She suddenly reached out and grabbed Li Manman’s wrist tightly.
Before Fu Fong, who was standing beside her, could even react—
Bai Ming had already pulled her forward.
"Let me go!" Li Manman shouted.
She struggled.
"What do you think you are doing? Everyone is watching! Let me go!"
But Bai Ming did not stop.
She dragged her forward, step after step.
Li Manman was tall and slender, but Bai Ming was stronger. After giving birth to two children, her body was firm and steady. She was not thin, and she had enough strength to overpower someone like Li Manman.
Dragging her was not difficult.
The crowd immediately followed behind them.
"Where is she taking her?"
"What is going on now?"
People whispered as they walked after them.
Fu Fong, Aunt Fu, and Fu Jia also followed.
"Bai Ming! What are you doing?" Fu Fong shouted.
"Let go of her!" Aunt Fu added.
"Have you gone mad?" Fu Jia said angrily.
But none of them stepped forward to stop her.
They only followed at a distance, watching.
Not far behind, Fu Fei and Fu Li leaned closer to each other, whispering.
"I think she is going to throw her into the river," Fu Li said.
Fu Fei covered her mouth slightly.
"That would be too much..."
Fu Tong overheard them and laughed.
"If she does that, then it is fair," he said.
I could not help it, I laughed too.
Even Fu Sheng let out a quiet chuckle.
Fu Teng shook his head.
"You people..." he sighed and laughed aswell.
At that moment, Grandpa Fu arrived slowly, supported as he walked.
Grandma Fu followed behind him, with Uncle Fu beside her.
Grandma Fu clicked her tongue as she looked ahead.
"Fu Tian," she said to her son, "your son is truly unlucky with the women he married."
She frowned.
"Look at them. What are they going to do to each other now?"
Grandpa Fu shook his head.
"It is not Fu Fong who is unlucky," he said calmly.
"It is the women who are unlucky to be tied to a man like him."
Grandma Fu’s face immediately turned ugly.
"What did you say?" she snapped.
Uncle Fu also frowned and looked at his father.
"Father, what do you mean by that?" he said. "I can tolerate you always comparing me with my brother, but now you are even insulting my son?"
Grandpa Fu looked at him quietly.
Then he shook his head again.
"Your son is not even worth insulting," he said.
His voice was calm, but firm.
"Sooner or later, you and that foolish wife of yours will understand what I mean."
He looked ahead toward the crowd.
"We are going to the barren lands," he continued.
"A family needs to be united. They need trust."
He paused.
"Only then will you realize the kind of family you have built for yourself."
Uncle Fu’s face darkened.
But he did not reply.
By the time Bai Ming reached the edge of the riverbank, she finally stopped.
She was still holding Li Manman tightly.
The ground there was uneven, and the water flowed faster. Anyone who stepped wrongly could not easily fall in... except if pushed.
Bai Ming turned to face her.
Her grip did not loosen.
"You said it yourself," she said, her voice low but sharp, "that they slipped and fell."
She pointed slightly toward the edge.
"Then tell me... who slips and falls in a place like this?"
Li Manman’s expression changed slightly.
For a brief moment, she did not speak and she could even form an answer, Bai Ming suddenly moved.
With all her strength, she pushed forward.
"Ah—!"
Li Manman lost her balance instantly.
Her body tilted backward and the next moment, she fell straight into the river.
Splash!
Water rose high as her body hit the surface.
"Help! Help!" she screamed immediately.
The current caught her at once.
She struggled, her hands flailing as the water dragged her away.
"I cannot swim! Save me!"
The crowd gasped.
"Did she just push her?!"
"Is she mad?!"
Fu Jia saw this and for a second she actually wanted to laugh at how pathetic Li Manman was looking but in other not to let anyone notice she continued shouting.
"Stop it.. Bai Ming you bitch.. what have you done.. have you gone mad." She shouted but still stayed still with her mother not moving an inch.
Fu Li noticed her fake sympathy as she crossed her hands, "If you care about her so much why don’t you do jump into the water and save her.. why are you still here shouting like an idiot."
Fu Jia’s face stiffened.
"You—!"
But she had no answer.
Aunt Fu also looked anxious, but she stayed where she was.
"Fong’er, do something!" she said.
Fu Fong stood at the edge, looking at the river.
His face was dark.
He took a step forward and then stopped.
His fists tightened, but his feet did not move.
"I don’t know how to swim mother and she’ll be then.. someone will surely save her.. I won’t risk it." He said shifting closer to his mother who just sighed.
In the water, Li Manman cried again.
"Fu Fong! Save me!"
Her voice broke.
"I will die!"
Still, he did not jump.
At that moment, the head guard and his men arrived.
"What is going on here?!" he shouted.
His eyes quickly moved to the river.
Then he saw her.
"Another one?!" he said angrily.
He turned to his men.
"Are all of you useless? Pull her out!"
Two guards immediately stepped forward.
Without wasting time, they jumped into the river.
They moved fast, swimming toward Li Manman.
The current was strong, but they were trained.
One of them reached her first and grabbed her arm.
"Stop struggling!" he shouted.
The other guard supported them from behind.
Together, they pulled her back toward the shore.
On land, everyone watched quietly... no one dared to say anything afraid they might get in trouble.
Soon, the guards dragged Li Manman out of the water.
She collapsed on the ground, coughing and gasping.
Her body shook as she tried to breathe.
Water dripped from her clothes and hair and her closed were now transparent.. gumming to her skin and exposing her figure.
She looked miserable.
The head guard stepped forward, his face full of anger.
"What is wrong with all of you?" he said.
His voice was cold.
"First children fall into the river. Now someone else is pushed in?"
His eyes swept across the crowd.
"Do you think this is a playground?"
No one dared to answer.
The guard’s gaze finally stopped on Bai Ming.
"You," he said.
"Did you push her?"
Bai Ming did not deny it.
"Yes," she said.
Her voice was calm.
"She pushed my children first."
The crowd stirred again.
The head guard frowned.
He looked at Li Manman, who was still coughing on the ground.
Then he looked at the two children.
Both of them were now clinging to Su Long.
Their faces were pale.
"Explain," he said shortly.
Fu Lin spoke first, her voice small but clear.
"She pushed us," she said.
Fu Qin nodded.
"She told us to follow her. Then she pushed us into the water."
The head guard’s expression changed slightly.
He turned to Li Manman.
She shook her head immediately.
"I did not," she said weakly.
"They are lying..."
But her voice lacked strength.
The head guard eyes narrowed before a sigh escaped his lips and he said coldly.
"I do not care who started it."
His voice was firm.
"But if anyone causes trouble again, I will deal with them directly... I am not joking.. Just hold on once you reach the barren lands then you can kill yourselves if you want to, i dont care just don’t do it while I’m still in duty."
He looked at both women.
"Do you understand?"
No one spoke.
"Answer me," he said.
"Yes," Bai Ming replied.
Li Manman nodded weakly.
"Yes..."
The head guard snorted.
"Good."
Then he turned to the crowd.
"Rest time is over. Everyone move!"
His voice rose again.
"Form the line and start walking!"
The moment he gave the order, the crowd began to move again.
Damn! We actually ended up breaking the head guard.
