The beast flapped its wings furiously to regain control of its spiraling body as it plummeted downward.

I shot forward, matching its decent trajectory.

Both of us collided violently in midair, grippling like titans in the clouds.

Its dreadful claws scratched and scratched at my armor. I reciprocated the gesture by landing a direct punch to its jaw. Then, I blasted another Incinerate shot at point blank range.

"Incinerate!..."

Boom!

The impact separated the both of us, sending us flying in opposite directions.

I flipped in the air s couple times before I recalibrated my balance and launched myself again.

The fog wasn’t still going anywhere, still swirling violently. Lightning flashing in the distance of the sea.

It was still hard to see with my naked eyes but I still had my Spacial Awareness Skill active so I could literally do this while my eyes were closed, as long as the Calamity Creature was still within the effective range of the skill.

My ability to successfully use the skill on the creature was confusing and astonishing at the same time.

Shrreeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkk!

The creature spun mid air, its wings spread wide like an unholy tapestry against the gray clouds.

Whoosh!

I kept climbing, the energy of the Forever Core pulsating throughout my armor and into my the boosters under my feet.

The gauntlets on both my arms heated up again as I raised them towards the monster.

"You’re fast and have a thick skin, let’s see if you can doged this!"

Golden circuits lit up across my armor and a high pitched hum filled my ears. I crossed both my gauntlets in front of me. Then —

"In—cinerate!"

I let loose another barrage of burning energy blasts. The air shimmered and cracked as they tore through the foggy sky, targeting the creature with furious precision.

But the Calamity Creature twisted through them like a ballerina dancer, its wings slicing the air with unnatural grace. It darted around my attacks even though it was badly injured with shades of red patches scattered all of its body.

It swooped again.

"For Christ sakes, won’t you just give up! Its inevitable I will kill you!" I shouted out in frustration.

Its claws extended and fangs bared. I barrel rolled mid air, avoiding the attack by mere inches, and responded with a spinning kick powered by my rocket propulsion.

Wham!

My feet caught it square in the torso, sending it tumbling. For a moment, I thought I’d broken something or caused damage to the suit because of the impact.

Then it screeched.

A piercing, distorted scream that felt like it clawed into my brain.

"Tch!" I gritted my teeth. "Enough games."

Whoosh!

It ascended into the clouds as if in retreat, I immediately gave pursuit. We both ascended above the low hanging clouds, above the downpour until only the stars she distant moonlight shined upon us.

The creature launched first, firing a blast of super sonic sound waves that had my brain in scrambles previously.

Immediately I saw it coming, I quickly searched through my skill inventory for anything I could use to defend myself from such an attack but unfortunately the suit hadn’t yet adapted to it.

Then, it hit. The super sonic sound wave blared at my ear drums like a heavy gun barrel being struck by the primer.

Then the creature huddled towards me and bumped into me with force. The impact rattled me like an earthquake, a testament to the Calamity Creatures ability to fight with tactics, it was truly remarkable and questionable.

My head ached and the black in my eyes sank into my head only revealing the white, but I endured and powered forward.

I folded my fist and swung my right arm, missing.

It dove low, curved behind me.

I twisted swiftly and caught its tail.

"Got you now!"

Its wings flared in panic, but I was way too strong and it was way too late for it. I spun and dragged it upward and I hurled it downward like a comet.

It smashed into the shallow part of the shore, kicking up water and loose sand into the air.

I dove after it.

Just when it was a few meters away, it tried to escape. I fired my boosters and crashed the the surface after it.

Boom!

The impact created a big crater in the beach sand.

It turned and lunged.

I met its face with a series of plasma charged punches that left residue images due to the speed.

"Skill:"

"Machine Gun Blows!"

Boom!

Its skull cracked visibily and it wailed a d screeched with pain.

"You’re not running this time."

I held out both arms. The golden plasma intensified into my gauntlets.

"Incinerate..."

The blast slammed directly into the creature’s skull.

The explosion lit the water around the shoreline like a miniature sun. A shockwave followed, dispersing the water around us subtly.

Then everything turned silent.

The Calamity Creature’s body fell limp, headless. Steam rose from I burned its corpse as the cold water of the waves washed against it on the beach shore.
