Evolving Infinitely From An E-Class Hero-Chapter 73: Golden Push

I stared into the eyes of every survivor. Old men. Mothers cradling children. A young boy, no older than ten, gripping a shattered tablet with a blank screen, hugging it close to his chest for defense. Their eyes begged for safety—but safety was bleeding out fast.

"I have a plan..." I repeated myself.

"You’re leaving? We have to do something bout these people and also defeat the airborne Calamity Creature!" Lady Phoenix blared at me with an angry expression written all over her face.

"I have a plan... " I repeated again. "But, you’ll have to stay here with the survivors and monitor the ships integrity incase it looses its ability to stay afloat!" I called back.

Lady Phoenix gritted her teeth and walked steadily closer to me before making eye contact. "Tch!... I don’t take orders from you... Need I remind you your class?"

I smirked cunningly, did she think she was going to intimidate me with that?

"What? Ma’am, this is no time for hero politics... So I suggest you do as your told..."

Her eyebrows shot up immediately after I uttered my last sentence, she squeezed her wrists tight as if honouring the idea to crush my face with her palms.

"Why you little..." She said with a gnashed teeth.

"Okay... That’s says it... You guys will feel a sudden push and you’ll arrive at the seaport in half the time... On the other hand, I’ll take care of the airborne Calamity Creature..."

I spun around and disappeared down the hallway without saying another word as the crowd and Lady Phoenix did nothing by stare at my behind image.

I dashed through the hallways and in a matter of minutes, I was out in the rain again. The violent droplets hammering away on my hair and trickling down to my suit apperture on my jaw and chin.

My plan was simple, to get the ship docked and land the survivors and also take care of the Calamity Creature.

That being said—

"Come out!"

I blasted off the metal surface of the deck and flew up and over the Whistling Derrick cruiser, taking in the view of every detail my eyes could lay on.

The attack had rendered the cruiser looking like a ghost town with minimal to no lightning, a flooded surface draped with countless dead bodies leaking blood into the pool of water.

Up and over until I found myself hovering behind the ship, following it slowly as it kicked up the waves while advancing forward with the air of its underwater propellers.

The propellers weren’t providing much power to increase the ships speed, and that is where I come in— To increase the speed of this ship.

"Forever Core..."

I said inwardly, while taking in the view of the bottom-back of the ship just above the water and the propellers.

"Eeek... You know you do not have to call me that..."

"Hmmm, I hope to increase the speed so as the ship could reach shore in half the time it’s supposed to..."

"Yes, what speed should it be moving to make it across that distance?"

[To achieve the desired result, the Whistling Derrick should move at a cruising speed of at least 50 knots that is about 92.6 km/h or 57.5 mph]

[Unfortunately, passenger cruise ships aren’t built for speed and the Whistling Derrick is one. It has maxed out it’s innate speed.]

"That’s where I come in... I want to externally increase the speed with the Forever Pikess’ Incinerate power..."

I placed both palms on the side of the ship and furrowed my eyebrows.

"Tch..."

Four of the Forever Pikes erupted form the back of my suit and lunged into the body of the cruiser, several rods popped out and secured into the body of the ship.

Skrrrrr!

The sound of steel on steel scraping against eachother as the pikes rods dipped even dipper into the ship.

I shot up and initiated the process to increase the ships speed.

"Let’s pray the pikes don’t produce so much force that it shoots its way through the ship..."

"Incinerate..."

Boom!

The Pikes blasted a huge amount of golden energy towards the opposite direction of the ships route.

The force was continuous and uninterrupted, pushing the ship further and faster than its original speed.

"Yes, my plan is working. Now unto the next order of business..."

I said to myself while hovering above the cruise ship as it pushed the waves in front of it and swarm with a much better speed.

"Now, where could that filthy creature be... The air space is massive, it could literally be anywhere!"

I honed the idea of using my Spacial Awareness Skill but I wasn’t sure if this creature would have any Meta energy or if it would be within the effective range of the skill. So, my only option is to fly towards the shores of Sector C and hope to intercept the creature before it gets to the mainland and begin it’s terror raid.

"Alright... Let’s go!"
