Rachel, Olivia, and Andrew, who had just separated from Victor not long ago, were dumbfounded seeing the new update.

He drew a sword and shield from his inventory and brought the shield in front of him.

The goblins charged, their weak arms flailing as they ineffectively struck at his shield.

With a shout, Victor swung his sword in an arc, slicing the goblins clean in half.

"The loot is trash," Victor mumbled just as he was about to continue walking...

The wyrm’s body was already very bloated, and there was a huge hole in its stomach that was emitting an unknown green gas. Its body was covered with disgusting boils. The wings were made of rotten green flesh which was dripping with green blood, giving a nauseating feeling.

It was a subspecies of dragons mixed with goblins. The Wyrm was a dangerous Territory Lord for early players.

Its lineage made it inherit the dragonkind’s brutal combat abilities and deadly breath of fire. It could easily decimate a small army of goblins and players, but for Victor it was not a problem. In fact, Victor was excited as he saw the drop rate from it.

A Territory Lord is a special kind of monster who rules a territory; they are more like mini-bosses of a small region. If a Territory Lord wants to expand his or her territory, then one must kill the existing Territory Lord to stop the spawning monsters and obtain legitimate recognition by the Akashic Records.

The most lucrative part of a Territory Lord is the super rare drop called a Dungeon Contract, which has a chance of dropping after killing the monster .

After they attain the Dungeon Certificate, they can use it to initiate a trial, and in the trial they have to kill the monster a certain number of times to obtain an item called the Dungeon Token. Using that, they can turn the territory of a Territory Lord into an Orpauve Dungeon, where it spawns monsters regularly and can be used to farm loot.

If they fail, then the monster simply vanishes, and another Territory Lord gains the territory of the challenger, causing the monster to stop spawning.

However, if they obtain the Dungeon Token, they can open a dungeon at their desired location to farm monsters. That is why dungeon contracts are one of the most indispensable sources of resources for kingdoms and top guilds. He did get it, but had no intention of using it and put it back in his inventory.

Victor’s eyes constricted when the Wyrm opened its mouth and launched a green breath toward him. Victor hurriedly turned into lightning and dodged the attack.

The place where he had been standing was turned into a small crater.

Victor calmed down quickly and turned into lightning again, moving behind the Wyrm in the sky. His hands transformed into Black Lightning Claws, and he struck its back.
