Entangled in the Night: Unable to Escape Him-Chapter 181: Sienna, Wait for Me
Silas Prescott saw that Julian Prescott hadn’t spoken for a long time and frowned sadly.
"So your love for me is also fake, you can’t even fulfill this small request."
Seeing his father’s aggrieved expression, Julian Prescott immediately nodded and agreed, "I promise to let Mom stay with you. I’ll go to the balcony to paint, okay? Please don’t be sad."
"Hmm, you’re so good, thank you."
He gave Julian Prescott a kiss on the cheek and flashed him an innocent and harmless smile.
This was worlds apart from the usual Silas Prescott, whose eyes were always calculating.
Witnessing this scene, Sienna Paxton felt a mix of emotions.
She hoped that Silas Prescott would recover soon and return to his life, yet also wished he could experience more of this carefree life to make up for childhood regrets.
She gently ruffled Silas’s hair and asked softly, "What would you like me to do with you?"
Silas’s dark, bright eyes flickered, and then he looked at Sienna and said, "Didn’t you say you’d take me back to your hometown? When are we leaving?"
Sienna hadn’t expected him to remember her casual comforting words so clearly.
She asked, "My hometown is in a small county, it’s not as bustling as here, and the conditions aren’t as good. Are you sure you’ll adapt?"
Silas nodded without hesitation, "I’m not afraid, as long as you’re by my side. No matter how bad the conditions are, I’m not afraid."
Sienna felt that, given Silas’s current situation, staying here wasn’t the best option.
If Damien Prescott and the others found out that he only had the memories of a ten-year-old, they’d definitely try to eliminate him.
It might be better to take him back home to recover; the beautiful scenery there might help him regain his memory.
Sienna nodded, "Alright, but you must listen and not resist anything I ask you to do."
Upon hearing this, Silas warily crossed his arms over his chest.
Looking nervously at Sienna, he said, "You mustn’t take advantage of me. I’m still a minor. When I regain my memory, can I marry you then?"
Seeing him like this, Sienna couldn’t help but laugh, "You’re overthinking it. I meant study; you need to quickly learn everything from elementary to university to regain your ability. Only then can you protect the Prescott Family."
A hint of disappointment flashed in Silas’s eyes, but it quickly disappeared.
He nodded obediently, "Don’t worry, I’ll regain my memory soon and strive to marry you as soon as possible."
Sienna said, "Silas, your most important task now is to protect the Prescott Family, not to marry me, understand?"
Silas insisted, "Protecting the Prescott Family and marrying you are equally important, Sienna. You even had a child with me; I must take responsibility for you. You have to wait for me."
He spoke earnestly, with a sincerity in his dark eyes that couldn’t be hidden.
This was an emotion Sienna rarely saw.
The past Silas Prescott had eyes she could never read.
But the current Silas, with his clear gaze, exuded innocence and sincerity.
This sincere child had been destroyed by his own biological parents.
Their emotional neglect had made his personality so obsessive.
He longed for love from others, which is why, after starting to date her, he held Sienna tightly.
Afraid that his only love would also leave him.
But he didn’t realize that holding someone too tightly is like holding a handful of sand—the tighter the grip, the faster the sand slips away.
If she had known about Silas Prescott’s condition sooner, they might not have been separated.
Silas’s condition might not have worsened.
Remembering this, Sienna affectionately brushed Silas’s hair.
"Then hurry up and get better."
Sienna’s words didn’t overtly promise to marry him, but they subtly conveyed to Silas that when he got better, she would marry him.
Understanding this layer of meaning, Silas excitedly clenched his fingers.
He wanted to follow his heart and act on it.
But he forcibly suppressed this feeling, showing only sincerity on his face.
"Sienna, thank you for being willing to wait for me. I will love you well in the future."
Julian Prescott, who had been hiding on the balcony and secretly watching them, couldn’t help but whisper to himself when he heard this, "Dad, you need to get better quickly, or else Mom will be taken away by someone else."
A few days later.
The Prescott Group underwent a major shakeup. Several old shareholders betrayed them and supported Damien Prescott in opposing Silas Prescott’s return.
Owen Paxton had been working hard to mediate among these people.
But he was still outnumbered and ultimately failed.
Damien Prescott became the acting CEO. As long as he got the stamp of authority from Silas Prescott’s group, he could secure the CEO position.
Old Master Prescott had long since been sent to a care home by him.
The entire Prescott Family manor was occupied by him.
Silas Prescott now had amnesia and was considered useless. Even if he recovered, he couldn’t take these things back from him.
That day in the hospital parking lot, Damien saw Sienna.
Sienna was wearing a simple white T-shirt and jeans, her hair casually tied up in a bun.
Yet, despite that, she still exuded a radiant charm that couldn’t be found in other women.
A purity intertwined with allure.
Damien Prescott’s face broke into a sinister smile.
No wonder Silas was so obsessed with her; this woman’s aura was indeed different from others.
He opened his car door, walked over to Sienna’s car, and knocked on her window, a mischievous smile playing at the corners of his lips, "My brother has turned into a useless person, why are you still so devoted to him? Why not consider being with me? I will treat you well."
Hearing these words, Sienna didn’t get angry.
Instead, she gently smiled and beckoned Damien with a finger, "Come over here."
