Chapter 233: Eleanor Windsor

"Was it a deliberate attack on us?" Leonard calmly got up from the bed and inquired.

Mirelle paused for another few moments to check.

"I don’t think so." She shook her head and explained her result.

Apparently, the large wave that impacted their ship was indeed an offensive attack. The only problem was that the large wave didn’t seem intended for their ship, but for another ship at a far distance.

"Is the Virellian Sea always this popular?" Leonard questioned. Of all the places they decided to fight, they just had to come to the open sea to fight?

Moreover, it was a sea that was meant for trade routes.

It would have been fine if the fight had been against pirates who wanted to rob others. But based on Mirelle’s testimony, that didn’t seem to be the case.

Which pirates would seek to destroy their treasure ship without looting all the precious items first?

Once a ship was destroyed and sank to the bottom of the sea, the risk factor would increase tremendously.

After all, those living in the sea weren’t easy to be trifled with either.

"Hard to say... There have been incidents of lost goods occasionally due to monsters. But rarely were there any attacks." Mirelle smiled awkwardly.

She had also done her fair share of investigation. This kind of incident seemed to only occur when Leonard was present.

If anything, she nearly called him an ill-fated person.

Like, what were the chances of all these endless misfortunes?

While Mirelle resisted the urge to address Leonard as such, a knock resounded from outside.

"Crown Prince, do you wish to engage with the situation?" Curtis asked loudly. He didn’t dare to enter the room in case he might intrude on something private.

Back inside the room, Mirelle also turned to Leonard for an answer.

"No need to engage. We’ll resume our journey. Since the attack wasn’t intended for us, there’s no need for us to be involved." Leonard had no desire to meddle in other people’s affairs.

Moreover, the impact they received was negligible because it wasn’t directed at them.

"Understood," Curtis swiftly retreated from the scene and headed to the Control Section.

He informed the Ship Captain to continue their original trajectory. "The Crown Prince doesn’t want trouble, so maneuver the ship away from their battle."

"Roger!" The Ship Captain adhered to the command and steered the wheel slightly.

As the ship began to turn away slightly, from afar, those entangled in battle were dumbfounded.

"Miss, that ship seemed to be leaving." An elderly man who was dressed in a formal black suit informed the woman seated on a comfortable chair.

The woman exuded an ethereal charm, but her eyes were covered by a black silk ribbon-like accessory.

She sat gracefully in the chair and muttered, "Hmm, I understand, Albert."

"Should we follow after them or confront those from behind us?" The elderly man, identified as Albert, inquired softly.

"Fire a rescue signal on their side." The woman instructed.

"Oh, and make sure to raise our Royal Xundraeth flag." She quickly reminded him.

When Albert heard the instruction, he didn’t voice any complaint and simply bowed.

Soon, he exited the room in grace before signaling for their people to commence the Miss’s action.

Once that was done, Albert gazed at Leonard’s ship in the far distance.

"Miss Eleanor seemed interested in the Crown Prince of Aldros." He murmured with a complicated expression.

Eleanor, otherwise known as Princess Eleanor Windsor, was of the Royal Family from Xundraeth Continent.

Although known as a great strategist, she was often looked down upon by her siblings for her blind condition.

They believed that she shouldn’t hold such political power because her condition would make others look down on the Xundraeth Continent.

However, almost everyone knew that this was just an excuse to cover their cowardly and pathetic self from being inferior to Eleanor.

In the end, after a prolonged series of stalemates against the Kharnovos Continent. Eleanor’s siblings took advantage of this to push for her to attend the Aldros Academy to mend the two continents’ relationship.

According to rumors, the Emperor, Stephen Windsor, even relented and agreed to send the princess to another continent to stabilize his rule.

Albert could only smile bitterly at the circumstances, helpless at the political movement. All he could do was follow Eleanor’s instructions without any questions.

Sometime later, Eleanor’s ship increased its knots and began to close the distance between hers and Leonard’s ship.

"Crown Prince, the other side seemed intent on dragging us into their mess." Mirelle quickly relayed the situation that she saw in her magical perception.

"The heck?" Leonard raised an eyebrow and appeared annoyed. "I didn’t even chase after them for the collateral damage, and now they are shameless enough to rope us in?"

With a puff, he rushed out of the room.

As soon as his presence was made, the nearby guards all bowed or kneeled in respect.

"Enough with the formality!" Leonard shouted and pointed at the mast, which was the pole on the ship. "Hurry and raise my flag! Let them know who is here and tell them to scram!"

He refused to believe the other parties would still dare to drag him into their muddy water once he raised his Crown Prince’s flag.

The distance here from the capital wasn’t that far, so he doubted anyone would be foolish enough to target him now.

Within a few seconds, the Crown Prince’s flag was raised. It was even brightly illuminated, ensuring that even the blindest person should see his flag.

Meanwhile, back at Eleanor’s ship, Albert promptly relayed the information.

"Hoh, the Crown Prince really raised his flag to deter us?" Eleanor giggled sweetly and covered her mouth slightly.

"Tell the Ship Captain to increase the speed. I’m blind, so I can’t see the flag." She mused, her face practically beaming in delight.

’The Miss is actually smiling?’ Albert was startled by the scene. He had never witnessed Eleanor show much facial expression aside from the usual indifferent or aloof moment.
