Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking-Chapter 568 - 7th Stage of Void Refinement
--
More time passed, and soon, it would be a year since Cedric returned to work.
He's eligible for another leave soon, and if things go well, he'd take it because it'd be a good way to relax given how much work he's doing on the daily.
But that wasn't his current concern right now. His focus was on his ongoing breakthrough to the 7th Stage of Void Refinement Realm. And just like previous times, he did it by unsealing one of the gaps in the Scarlet Division Wall to siphon raw Void for an energy source.
This breakthrough expanded Cedric's inner world by 9,999,999 miles, and this took a while to complete given how much raw void he had to consume all without alerting the other side. Of course, should any emergency happen, he had people to protect him, but still, this was risky.
Within Cedric's inner world, the scene was once again dominated by still darkness. Only the core area was populated by Chaos Energy, and compared to the area it covered, it looked completely out of place.
While this certainly wasn't the first time Cedric saw the state of his inner world, he's still astonished whenever he sees it. He sometimes couldn't help but wonder how difficult this could've been if he hadn't discovered a way to neutralize the will of the void, making it easier to refine into Chaos Energy.
Well, that's not really important now, is it?
With this breakthrough, Cedric was once again one step closer to the peak of his current path. Fortunately, he already discovered a way forward. Though it's not complete yet, at least there is a way. It's better than being stuck.
Along with the increase of his potential pool of energy sources, Cedric also discovered that the embryo of Concept Laws swimming within his Inner World experienced an explosive growth as well.
This growth brought a fresh wave of insights to Cedric, further increasing his familiarity with Concept Laws as a whole. All of his thought chambers were working overtime to digest the insights he received. If it weren't for these, it would've taken Cedric years of seclusion to digest everything, and that just won't do, so this was a very fortunate thing.
With his increasing familiarity with Concept Laws, it wouldn't be wrong to say that Cedric could command them almost effortlessly. If he willed it, the very fabrics of reality would bow to his presence, allowing him to do basically whatever he pleased.
What's even crazier is that even the most elusive concept laws, such as creation, destruction...even karmic laws, were included here. While he hasn't gotten any real solid insights into these laws, only hints and clues, this was already way better than nothing.
So long as Cedric lets his thought chambers ponder about these insights, he believes that he'd eventually grasp more clues about them and bring them under his control in the future. Once he reaches that stage, he'd find that it'd be difficult for him to die even if he wants to.

Taking advantage of the lull in the camp, Cedric took this time to take his yearly leave. He's granted a month's worth of vacation each year he completes in his service, and since there wasn't anything too important happening within the camp, he takes it.
Upon returning home, he was once again welcomed by his wives, who were eager and happy that he returned so soon. Cedric discovered that his sons were still there...well, two of them at least: Godwyn and Gerald. Gilderoy and Allura were still on their honeymoon, but they said that they'd be returning soon.
Godwyn didn't leave because he didn't need to. He basically completed all matters that required him to do so physically; the rest could be managed in the virtual universe from now on, so there's no need for him to leave.
However, that doesn't mean that he wasn't busy. Godwyn takes his job as Solaris Prime's governor very seriously. And this causes him to roam all over Solaris Prime to take inventory of everything around and to make sure that everything's in proper order.
He wasn't alone in doing this. He had a team behind him who helped share the burden. That said, Godwyn still has the final say on major decisions. It was under his lead that the Golden Age that his father ushered in prospered even more.
Cedric saw that he had plans on terraforming three more planets to colonize, expanding humanity's territory, influence, and resources. He also discovered that Godwyn was introducing rare resources, one that shouldn't have existed, to Solaris Prime. It's like he's grafting them so that the realm could grow them artificially.
Just like what he did in the past, Godwyn was growing them within secret realms or pocket dimensions. The idea was to expand them until the artificial becomes natural. This will take time, so it's better to start now than later.
Seeing his hard work, Cedric lent him a hand, albeit secretly. Using his fine control over concept laws, he manipulated the areas that Godwyn concerned himself with to be more favorable for his purpose. His interference was so sly and secretive that nobody would discover it unless he admitted it himself.
With all of this development, Solaris Prime can apply to be moved to the Inner Circle of the alliance.
By virtue of Cedric's contributions alone, which even surpass the majority of the Chancellors, they qualify for it. Hell, if he makes this request to the Chancellors, even if they have to judge their qualifications through the rules of the Divine Council and not the Border Patrol Office, he believes that the result will be extremely favorable.
Godwyn's work was stellar and clean. Humanity's development during the past decade could be said to be miraculous, and merit-wise, how could anybody compete with Cedric? So, all things considered, they are qualified to move the Inner Circle to share its prosperities.
Would they, though? Well, not for now.
Because although Solaris Prime does qualify, humanity doesn't. Their people are too weak. There hasn't been much time since they were liberated from the influence of demons. They're still working to boost their population and cultivate to raise the overall strength ceiling of the race.
The competition was actually heated right now. Cedric could see that tensions were high because it seemed that everybody was chasing after the many benefits of their home's explosive growth. This, coupled with Acala's recent blessings, which improved their unseen properties, made the situation even more fiery.
Even though things are chaotic there, this kind of atmosphere is just what they needed to raise their quality of life, so neither Cefric nor Godwwyn interfered.
It's unknown how long it'd take for humanity to actually qualify for the Inner Circle, but for now, at the very least, they are going in the right direction.
As for Gerald, he said that he would soon resume his adventures. He extended his stay to accompany his mother and aunts because even he wouldn't know when he'd return once he left.
Cedric sighed because his boys are really all grown up now.
Godwyn was responsible for the growth and stability of Solaris Prime, Gilderoy was married, and Gerald was now satisfying his wanderlust.
Cedric was initially the most worried about Gerald because he was too stiff and socially awkward. The only people he ever opened up to, growing up, were his brothers and parents. Even back in their youth, when Godwyn and Gilderoy were making friends, only Gerald remained alone. So it's understandable that he and Isabella were worried.
Obviously, that's no longer the case here. Gerald learned how to make friends and form bonds shortly after he started venturing outside of the Solaris Prime.
He even had sworn brothers and sisters whom he trusted his life with. Of course, his bond with his blood brothers was still the deepest, but these people come in a very close second.

This much was obvious, especially whenever he talks about them. And lord knows just how much this pacified both Cedric and Isabella's worries about him.
Although Isabella still feels a little sad because her baby has grown up a little too quickly for her liking, she's relieved that he's doing and living well. Motherhood is truly strange, as she gradually realized.
But what really put the ladies' hearts at ease was the fact that no matter what their children did or wherever they went, their father was always watching over them.
What the boys didn't know is that Cedric left something within them. A piece of him that will protect them should their lives be at risk. This piece of him wouldn't interfere or influence them about whatever they do. Its only function was to protect them in case of emergency and alert Cedric of what happened so that he could come to their rescue.
Cedric didn't inform the boys that he did this because he didn't want them to become reckless. Besides, this ruins their sense of adventure and freedom, so why reveal it?
It's enough that their mothers knew that they're well protected; that's all.
