Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife-Chapter 961 - 999-1000: Missing You So Much
He tightly pursed his lips, his dark eyes fixed on her.
She felt a bit guilty under his gaze, "I... I just wanted to see you... It’s not good for us to stand at the entrance like this, how about... um, we talk in the car?" As she spoke, she proactively took his hand, wanting to head toward the car.
The moment her hand held his, his pupils contracted slightly; her hand... was cold. She must have been standing outside for over two hours. This woman really...
His steps, ultimately, followed hers, leading them to the side of the car.
After getting into the car, Mabel greeted Caleb and then asked, "Are you heading back to the tavern now?"
"Yes." Caleb replied, at least that was the original plan.
"Then I’ll go check out the tavern too, I haven’t been there yet." Mabel said.
Caleb glanced at his boss, seeing his boss silent, he knew it meant consent, and thus restarted the car, heading toward the tavern.
At the tavern room where Kyle was staying, Mabel began to explore the room.
After dropping them off, Caleb left.
"Well, you’ve seen it here now too, I’ll have Caleb send you back." Kyle said.
"But Secretary Yu has already gone back, calling him again would be bothering him too much." She said.
"It’s not a bother." He said, directly taking out his phone.
The next moment, she suddenly leaned close to him, stood on tiptoes, and wrapped her arms around his neck, "Kyle, I miss you so much."
The hand holding the phone suddenly froze, his eyes fixed on her.
She lightly bit her lip, "So many days without seeing you, actually... I think about you every day, wondering if you’ve eaten well, if you’ve slept well, how your shoulder injury is, if it still hurts..." She rambled on, speaking about her thoughts and feelings over the past days.
Standing at the entrance earlier, her heart had actually been restless, but upon seeing him, she calmed down and realized how much she had missed him, far more than she had imagined.
In that moment of seeing him, her heart was overflowing with satisfaction, and she wanted to rush over, hug him, touch him, to confirm he was truly right in front of her. As if the whole world only consisted of his existence.
Kyle’s gaze gradually softened, "Do you really miss me?"
"Yes. I miss you so much..." she murmured, tilting her chin up and voluntarily kissed his lips.
"Mabel..." He called her name. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
"Kyle, I love you." She said.
"I love you too." He said.
When she saw the injury on his shoulder. Now, the bandage on his shoulder was gone, but consequently, his wounds appeared more ghastly.
Mabel gazed at the wound, somewhat stunned, feeling as though her breath was about to halt. If the opponent’s gun had been aimed a bit lower back then, he wouldn’t be alive and standing like this before her.
She almost lost him!
"What’s wrong?" She stayed silent for too long, and he voiced, "Is the wound too frightening?"
"No!" She hastily replied, gently touching the injury on his shoulder, not daring to apply even the slightest pressure for fear of hurting him. "Does it hurt?" she asked.
"It doesn’t hurt." He said with a faint smile, "In a few days, when the scabs fall off, it won’t look as scary."
"Kyle..." Her face gently rested against his back, her arms wrapped around his waist, "No matter what, be safe, okay?"
"Okay." He answered.
"Will you go back to live at the mansion?" She asked again, "When you weren’t there these days, I felt so lonely living there alone."
His body slightly trembled, then he unwrapped her arms, turned to look at her, "Then have you decided? Not to plead for the Conley Family, to stand by my side?"
She was taken aback, hesitating for quite a while before meekly speaking, "Is there really no other way? Does it have to be like this?"
The longing in his eyes gradually became clearer, while the blood in his body seemed to be turning cold, "So, you still haven’t given up? You still plan to plead for that Conley man, even at the cost of using this method?"
