Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife-Chapter 240 - 249: Old Acquaintances Reunite
Chapter 240: Chapter 249: Old Acquaintances Reunite
Mabel Quinn knew that Alice Conley dated someone back in her freshman year, but it was quite brief. She hadn’t seen Alice’s boyfriend back then, and when they broke up, her friend only vaguely mentioned that they were not a good match.
Mabel was persuading Alice to drink less when a black car had already parked across the road from the food stall, and two men got out of the car.
They had model-like heights and striking good looks. One appeared noble and aloof, while the other looked refined yet a bit roguish. Together, they were eye-catching enough to draw attention, even at this time of night, causing quite a few people nearby to turn their heads.
Mabel spotted Kyle Kinston and quickly raised her hand, waving towards him, and shouted, "Kyle, over here!"
Kyle smiled and walked towards Mabel, with Dorian Howards naturally following him. Dorian took a good look at Mabel’s face. When he’d watched videos of her in Falling City, he couldn’t see clearly, but now seeing her in person, she turned out to be a rather clean and delicate girl. She wasn’t strikingly beautiful, but her looks were quite pleasing, with her apricot eyes appearing very lively under the lights.
This woman is Kyle’s fated one, meaning, barring any accidents, she’s the one who’ll be with him for life.
As the two approached, Dorian smiled and said, "Hi, you’re Mabel Quinn, right? I’m Kyle’s childhood friend, Dorian Howards. If you don’t mind, you can just call me Dorian."
"Dorian," Mabel replied.
Alice, who had been lying on the table with a glass, suddenly clamored, "What Dorian... Mabel, is it Kyle coming to pick us up?"
But as soon as Alice lifted her head, Dorian’s smile froze abruptly, and he stared fixedly at Alice.
Alice, still half-dazed, barely opened her eyes and completely overlooked Dorian, looking straight at Kyle, "Report to the boss... hic, I’m the only one who drank today, Mabel didn’t," she said, even managing a wobbly salute.
Kyle looked at Mabel, "I couldn’t tell your friend got drunk; it’s kind of amusing. Last time at the gathering, she seemed very cautious."
"Anyone dining with you for the first time would be reserved," Mabel responded.
Kyle suddenly leaned closer to Mabel and asked, "Really didn’t have any drinks?"
"No." Her face turned slightly red. She knew she couldn’t hold her liquor well, so she stayed away from it, knowing if both she and Alice ended up drunk, it would be disastrous.
Mabel struggled slightly to get Alice up and leave, but a drunken person always weighs a bit more than usual.
Kyle was about to help Mabel support Alice when Dorian suddenly grabbed Alice’s arm, helping her up. "You two head back first, I’ll take her home!"
"Huh?" Before Mabel could react, Dorian had already helped Alice into a passing taxi.
Watching the car leave in front of her, Mabel quickly said, "How could your friend just take Alice away by himself? I haven’t even told him Alice’s home address yet."
"No need," Kyle said thoughtfully, staring in the direction the car had gone. "Your friend won’t get into any trouble."
