"Sect Master, you're not a mortal. Why would you have hair loss?" one of the Peak Masters asked in a puzzled voice.

"Tell me, Qin Mu, have you figured out how he's going to give me even more headaches?" Jiang Hong asked, ignoring the others.

"He's probably aiming for the rankings—and he might actually succeed," Qin Mu said. None of the Peak Masters were fools; after being asked the question, they quickly realized the answer. If it had been before, he would have scoffed at the idea, but after witnessing Wang Ming's strength, he truly believed it was possible.

"Yes, you're right. Oh, look—I was right," Jiang Hong said as he stared at the screen, watching Wang Ming toss out more beast-attracting robes.

"Sigh, you know you can stop glaring at me, right?" Wang Ming said with a helpless sigh as he turned to look at Tang Nian, who was still following them—eyes fixed on him with a sharp glare. Her stare made Wang Ming a bit uncomfortable. Even though he had thick skin, it wasn't like he wanted to be resented by a beauty. Seeing her expression, Wang Ming couldn't help but click his tongue.

He understood how frustrating it must have been for her—missing the chance to earn the achievement when she was just one player kill away, only for him to snatch it at the last moment. But did he regret it or care? Not at all. In fact, he'd do it again without hesitation. He was selfish, and he didn't deny it. Besides, he wasn't there to steal her kill or knew about it,

they were both killing players and he did faster.

'Must be a spoiled young lady,' Wang Ming thought as he noticed Tang Nian's eyebrow twitch and her glare intensify.

They held eye contact, and Min Li, who stood off to the side, felt like she was standing on needles. Thankfully, Tang Nian clicked her tongue, let out a sigh of defeat, and her gaze finally truend normal.

"So, which family do you belong to? Are you from outside the Black Bamboo Kingdom?" Tang Nian asked curiously. She had never heard of any Wang Clan or family.

"Neither. I'm just a normal rogue cultivator who joined the sect," Wang Ming replied indifferently as he continued walking toward the new hunting area.

"Tsk, if you don't want to tell me, then just say so. What's the point of lying?" Tang Nian muttered, clicking her tongue.

"Why does everyone think I belong to some powerful clan or family? I'm just an ordinary cultivator," Wang Ming muttered, his words causing both women's eyebrows to twitch.

' Ordinary, ordinary your head, why am I not ordinary like you' Min Li cursed inside her head.

"Because there's no way someone who isn't from a powerful background could possess such a powerful technique like the one you used. I mean, I'm sure even the royal family would want it," Tang Nian replied immediately.

"Can't a normal cultivator stumble upon a fortuitous encounter and obtain some treasure?" Wang Ming asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, but if someone did, they'd either become famous and get killed for showing off," Min Li replied, and Tang Nian nodded in agreement. Wang Ming, however, remained silent.

'Ordinary people really have it tough in this world. If you're weak, you get kicked around. And if you do find a way to gain power, you might end up killed for it. Damn miserable, 'Wang Ming thought.

If an ordinary cultivator could hear his thoughts, they would probably nod their head with teary eyes—because yes, their lives really were that difficult.

"By the way, now that I think about it—why the hell are you still here? Why don't you log out? You've already completed your mission and you're eligible for promotion in your sect. Don't tell me your sect has some kind of different requirements," Tang Nian asked curiously, glancing at Wang Ming.

"No, the rules are the same," Min Li replied.

"Then why haven't youlogged out? You even bought more beast-attracting bombs. Are you still planning to fight?" Tang Nian asked again, which made Wang Ming come to a stop.

"Can I say something to you?" Wang Ming asked, turning to Tang Nian.

"What?" she replied.

"Can you shut the fuck up?" Wang Ming said flatly, causing Min Li to stare at him in shock while Tang Nian froze in place.

"You…" Tang Nian's face turned red with anger. No one had ever dared to raise their voice at her—let alone tell her to shut up—not even her own parents.

"You're so loud, my ears hurt," Wang Ming said with clear displeasure.

"You… You…" Tang Nian stammered again, still processing the insult.

"I didn't log out because I didn't want to. Is there a rule that says I can't stay longer or that I can't kill more?" Wang Ming asked coldly. Tang Nian fell silent, though her glare remained fixed on him. This time, however, Wang Ming didn't care—he was genuinely annoyed by her.

"Wang Ming, I'm also curious. Why do you still plan to hunt more beasts? Isn't it enough?" Min Li asked, looking at him.

"Oh, I was planning to get into the rankings," Wang Ming said casually, causing both women's eyes to widen.

"It's impossible. At the very least, you need to be in the Pure Core Realm to even qualify for the rankings. And besides, cultivation level doesn't matter as much—it's judged by the number of beasts you've killed. Those ranked have thousands of beasts recorded under their names. There's no way to catch up in such a short time," Tang Nian said with a snort.

"Then I should start killing. And after what you've seen, do you really think I can't do it?" Wang Ming said confidently, causing Tang Nian's eyebrow to twitch.

She didn't reply, only clicked her tongue. Now that she thought back to that devastating technique of his… maybe he could. Doubts started to creep into her mind as she walked toward the hunting grounds with them.
