"This…" Jiang Hong, who was approaching the building, widened his eyes in shock. His face turned pale as he saw the entire structure engulfed in a dark red hue, radiating an overwhelming killing intent.

'Could this be because of Disciple Wang Ming's technique?' Jiang Hong frowned. He couldn't comprehend how Wang Ming, an 18-year-old, could possess such immense murderous intent—something that should only be possible after killing millions.

The closer he got, the deeper the oppressive aura became, causing beads of sweat to form on his forehead. When he finally arrived, he saw the trembling elder standing in front of a capsule—the very source of the killing intent.

"Fuck, this murderous intent…" Jiang Hong felt a chill run down his spine as he faced the full brunt of the overwhelming aura. His face paled as, for a split second, he saw rivers of blood and mountains of corpses before him.

"Elder, what the fuck is going on?" Jiang Hong demanded, turning to the trembling elder standing in the corner.

"I have no idea, Sect Master!" the elder hurriedly explained. "One moment, I was drinking tea, and the next, I suddenly felt this immense killing intent. I searched for the culprit but found nothing—until I realized that this disciple was radiating it."

Tap. Tap.

Jiang Hong heard footsteps approaching and turned to see the Peak Masters and Supreme Elder arriving. Their faces were pale as paper, drenched in sweat, their expressions filled with unease.

"What's happening, Sect Master?" Lei Ping asked with a frown.

Jiang Hong simply pointed at the elder, and all eyes turned toward the capsule containing Wang Ming. The Peak Masters immediately extended their spiritual senses to check on his mind real mindspace.

The moment they did, their expressions twisted in horror as they stumbled upon a terrifying scene.

Above an ocean of blood lay a massive pile of bones from various creatures, including humans, the pile of bones were so many that it formed mountain which was reaching the heavens. Atop this gruesome mountain of bones sat a large throne made entirely of bones, and on it sat a hooded figure. The moment he sensed their gazes, his eyes snapped open, revealing two ominous, blood-red irises that glared back at them. Suddenly, two enormous pupils formed in the sky, stretching across the entire horizon. A crushing, suffocating aura bore down on their souls, forcing them to hurriedly retract their senses.

"Huff… Huff… What the hell were those eyes?" Mu Feixu asked, panting heavily, her face still drained of color.

"Look! It's vanishing!" Zhou Huixin exclaimed.

Everyone watched as the eerie red hue surrounding the capsule disappeared within seconds. The suffocating killing intent that had sent dread into their hearts was now completely gone.

"Sect Master, do you have any idea what that was?" Qin Mu asked with a deep frown, his wary gaze fixed on Wang Ming's capsule.

"It must be related to the technique we saw on the screen—the one Disciple Wang Ming used to restrain and kill those inside the virtual world," Lei Ping said with a frown.

"You are right, Supreme Elder. It must use killing intent to immobilize opponents," Jiang Hong added.

"But isn't this level of killing intent a bit exaggerated?" Mu Feixu commented, also frowning.

"Indeed. Not even the most notorious evil cultivators possess this kind of killing intent. They would have to slaughter millions, and Disciple Wang Ming is far too young. Even if he started killing from the day he was born, it's simply not possible to accumulate such murderous intent," Jiang Hong analyzed, and the others nodded in agreement.

"Are you sure, Sect Master, that he isn't from a hidden family? Only they might have techniques capable of creating such killing intent," Qin Mu asked, still skeptical as he recalled those blood-red eyes.

"I'm only going by what Disciple Wang Ming himself has said. And even I won't force him to reveal more than he's willing to. If he truly is from a hidden clan, our entire sect might be wiped out," Jiang Hong said. The others felt a chill run down their spines and quickly nodded in agreement.

Wang Ming closed the tab, glanced at the bloodied scene, and then looked at Min Li, who was staring at him in terror.

Tap.

Wang Ming gave a bitter smile as he saw Min Li flinch at the sound of his footsteps while he approached her.

"Calm down. Why are you acting like this?" Wang Ming asked amusedly, which caused veins to appear on Min Li's forehead.

"You're asking me what happened? No, no, nothing happened at all!" Min Li snapped sarcastically, raising her hand dramatically.

"Alright, let's collect the loot," Wang Ming said, his eyes lighting up as he saw the cores scattered on the ground, dropped from the exploded players. He immediately began collecting them.

"Fuck! First, tell me—what the hell was that killing intent? I mean, how is that even possible?" Min Li demanded, crossing her arms and looking at Wang Ming questioningly.

"Would you believe me if I said it was a new technique I picked up on the side of the road?" Wang Ming replied casually, causing Min Li to stare at him speechlessly.

"You're not going to tell me, are you?" Min Li asked flatly.

"So you do have a brain. I thought you were dumb," Wang Ming said with a smirk.

"Who's dumb?! You're the dumb one!" Min Li shot back, more veins popping on her forehead. But she quickly calmed down, realizing that Wang Ming wasn't going to give her a real answer.

'I guess it must be some kind of secret. And I'm not that close to him yet… Hehe, I'll find out his secrets later anyway—after I dual cultivate with him,' Min Li thought, nodding to herself before helping Wang Ming collect the cores.
