Drama Queen Reborn as a Top Student!-Chapter 727 - 312 It is only right and proper to pay back what one owes.
Yu Fuce hadn’t eaten or drunk anything for an entire day and night.
His hunger was so intense that his chest felt glued to his back.
In the airtight room, oppression and fear grew uncontrollably in the pitch-black darkness.
He was Old Mrs. Yu’s most cherished grandson, pampered and doted on since childhood. He had never endured such humiliation; just one day and one night, and he was already at his limit.
"Grandmother, brother, when will you come to save me...?"
He murmured, drifting into a deep slumber.
"Nana..."
In his dreams, he saw his radiant, gentle, and obedient lover. Each time they met, she would personally cook for him, giving him a sense of home warmth.
Though a movie star, her cooking skills were truly impressive, successfully capturing his stomach. Unfortunately, at the time, he didn’t care much and had taken it for granted.
Now, the thing he missed the most was the bowl of three-flavor noodles Nana once made for him.
Just as he was about to taste the noodles in his dream, someone suddenly woke him up.
Yu Fuce opened his blurry eyes in confusion. The door to the room swung wide open, and brilliant sunlight poured in, illuminating the dim space.
The light was too blinding. Instinctively, he squinted his eyes.
It was still that skinny man crouched in front of him, grinning as he said, "Mr. Yu, our boss has agreed to meet you."
The man’s smile carried no trace of joy, only a chilling, horrifying undertone.
Without waiting for his response, the man waved his hand, and two black-clad bodyguards draped a black hood over his head and roughly lifted him up, humiliatingly dragging him out.
He could only let himself be manhandled like meat on a chopping block.
He was dragged into an elevator, which ascended, and soon he was hauled out and thrown into a room like discarded trash.
The plush carpet on the floor softened his landing, so he didn’t feel much pain.
After taking a moment, he pulled himself upright, reaching to remove the hood.
The room was spacious, lavishly decorated, with a massive floor-to-ceiling window ahead. Outside, the moonlight was liquid silver, romantically bathing the city.
In front of the window, facing away from him, sat a person on a leather sofa, seemingly enjoying the night view through the glass.
The figure was cloaked in shadows, making it hard to discern any details.
Yu Fuce glanced around. The black-clad bodyguards and the skinny man had disappeared, leaving just the two of them alone in the expansive room.
For reasons he couldn’t explain, Yu Fuce suddenly felt a strong sense of unease deep within.
He hesitated before speaking, "Are you the boss of Huacai City?"
"That’s correct."
The voice was ambiguous, impossible to distinguish if it belonged to a man or woman. It carried a casual laziness, yet inexplicably set Yu Fuce’s nerves on edge.
"I heard you wanted to see me. Well, tell me—why?"
Yu Fuce steadied himself. "Do you know who I am?"
He raised his chin as he spoke, his demeanor tinged with arrogance.
"Oh?" The person let out a questioning sound.
Yu Fuce sneered, "You’ve heard of the Yu family in Hua Country, haven’t you? Yu Guoning is my grandfather, Yu Yixin is my father, and Yu Fusheng is my brother. If you don’t release me immediately, my brother will level this place and leave you to reap what you sow."
Silence. Suffocating silence.
Yu Fuce thought his words had intimidated them and was about to smugly add another threat, when a round of applause rang out—"Clap, clap, clap."
The person stood up and stepped out of the shadows.
To his surprise, it was a young woman. She was dressed in a white casual outfit with a slender figure. Her skin was exceptionally fair, her face petite, with gold-rimmed glasses perched on her nose. The lenses reflected light, obscuring her eyes.
The famous boss of Huacai City was unexpectedly a young woman. It was too unbelievable.
"You... Are you really the boss of Huacai City?" It wasn’t that he looked down on women, but claiming she was merely the boss’s lover seemed much more plausible.
The woman smiled faintly, her elegance and refined aura evoking an inexplicable sense of goodwill.
"I’m not the boss of Huacai City." She strolled leisurely to a corner, where a wide-bellied celadon vase with a golf club sticking out stood.
Yu Fuce breathed a sigh of relief. So, she wasn’t the boss. That made sense—a woman should stick to the roles of managing the home and raising children. It was impossible that she had built an industry as vast as Huacai City.
"But I am the largest shareholder of Huacai City, with absolute authority."
The woman reached out, pulled the golf club from the vase, and began to toy with it in her hands.
Yu Fuce froze, staring at her in disbelief.
She chuckled softly, dragging the golf club as she slowly approached him.
Yu Fuce instinctively took a step back.
