Chapter 50 - 51 – True Form of a Tool Spirit?! There’s Also a True Form of a Beast Spirit?!
BOOM—!
The violent collision of two soul skills exploded with deafening noise and shockwaves that sent Robert and his men reeling, struggling to stay on their feet.
Robert roared, unleashing his full soul power to block the overwhelming blast.
Snake Lance Douluo also shielded the slender figure beside him with a protective surge of soul power, his expression turning concerned.
"Are you hurt?" he asked urgently.
The cloaked figure shook her head, though her gaze flickered nervously at the overwhelming soul power radiating from Robert's side.
She hesitated, then asked softly, "Are you sure you can handle this?"
Snake Lance Douluo's expression darkened. He tightened the cloak over his shoulders, his Martial Soul phantom growing sharper and more vivid behind him.
"Don't worry," he said in a deep voice. "These small fries aren't worth worrying about."
Robert, clearly infuriated by his arrogance, narrowed his eyes and shouted,
"You may be a Titled Douluo, but aren't you a bit too full of yourself?!"

"Let's see what you've got!"
Snake Lance Douluo let out a cold snort. A golden light flashed across his eyes, spreading over his entire body. Then—his seventh soul ring lit up.
"Martial Soul True Body — Snake Lance True Form!"
His body fused with the golden snake coiled around his spear, forming a single terrifying weapon radiating deadly power. His aura surged like a tidal wave, aiming directly at the defenders.
"Let me show you the true difference between a Titled Douluo and a Soul Sage!"
Robert's eyes turned bloodshot. He shouted,
"Protect His Highness and retreat!"
His seventh black soul ring flared to life.
He hadn't expected Snake Lance Douluo to go all out with his Martial Soul True Body. That was usually reserved for fighting fellow Titled Douluo—definitely not Soul Sages like him.
But there was no turning back now.
If he could buy time for the Crown Prince to escape safely... then even if he died here, it would be worth it.
"Martial Soul True Body — Nightshade Tiger Form!"
The golden spear, fused with Snake Lance Douluo's Martial Soul, came hurtling toward Davis with world-shattering force.
"Not so fast!"
Robert roared as his body transformed—his Martial Soul fully possessed him, turning him into a massive, jet-black tiger. His amber eyes flashed fiercely.
"ROOOAR!!"
He lunged forward with his tiger claws to meet the strike head-on.
CLANG!
A deafening metallic impact rang out. Robert's hands trembled uncontrollably.
The soul power in his Martial Soul-infused claws was instantly shattered.
Robert stared at Snake Lance Douluo in horror.
So this is the strength of a Titled Douluo...
Even one blow from his true form was enough to force Robert into such a desperate state.
Still, he looked back over his shoulder—Davis, now being escorted by the royal guards, was retreating deeper toward the forest's edge.
A faint smile crept onto Robert's lips.
As long as I can hold him off long enough... I've done my duty.
Snake Lance Douluo saw through Robert's plan immediately and sneered.
"You? Stop me?"
BOOM!
Robert's soul power erupted like blazing fire, coating his entire body.
At this moment, he no longer resembled a human. His Martial Soul True Body had fully transformed him into a fierce Nightshade Tiger.
Grinding his teeth through the pain, he growled:
"Beast Martial Souls are naturally stronger than Tool Spirits! And mine is a mutated variant of the Evil-Eyed White Tiger! Even if you're a Titled Douluo, killing me won't be so easy!"
"Heh... naïve."
BZZZT—!
Snake Lance Douluo's seventh soul ring lit up again!
"Martial Soul True Body — Twin-Headed Serpent!"
The golden light flared as the snake spear split away from his body, floating midair. Then, it merged with a surge of glowing golden soul power.
An immense force surged outward. A massive two-headed serpent fused directly into Snake Lance Douluo's body, its cold, vertical pupils locking onto Robert.
"What?!"
Robert's face turned pale. Impossible!
How can someone possess both a Tool Spirit and a Beast Spirit at the same time?
How can a person have two Martial Soul True Bodies?!
A chilling, bloodthirsty aura rolled off Snake Lance Douluo. He grinned wickedly.
"Now... I'm also a Beast Spirit user. Prepare to die."
The sixth soul ring behind him lit up.
"Golden Serpent Strikes!"
BOOM!
The two-headed serpent let out an earth-shaking roar and lunged at Robert. A streak of blinding gold, like a falling star, tore through the battlefield with unstoppable might!
Robert's eyes briefly lost focus—but he recovered just in time. His sixth soul ring ignited.
"Black Tiger Shatters the Heavens!"
"AHHH!! Snake Lance Douluo! You won't take me down that easily!!"
BOOOOOM!!!
Elsewhere in the Forest
Davis was being escorted by the remaining guards as they sprinted through the darkness, heading for the edge of the Star Dou Great Forest.
Fear and regret twisted in the Crown Prince's heart.
If I hadn't been so stubborn... if I hadn't insisted on coming here... Spirit Hall wouldn't have come after us.
None of this would've happened.
"Uncle Robert..."
He kept glancing back. In the distance, golden and black lights continued to clash violently—proof of the intense battle still raging behind them.
Hatred flared in Davis's eyes. Spirit Hall!
He still didn't know why they were trying to kill him... but he wasn't an idiot. Clearly, Spirit Hall was not the peace-loving organization it claimed to be.
Was it possible... that his fiancée Zhu Zhuyun had also fallen into their hands?
Old grudges and new hatred surged through his chest—but he didn't lose control.
With one last glance toward Robert's direction, Davis grit his teeth and kept running.
"A gentleman's revenge may take ten years..."
Rustle... rustle...
Suddenly, from the nearby bushes, came the sound of something moving.
The entire group came to a halt, staring tensely at the source of the disturbance.
"Who's there?!"
One of the guards drew his bow and loosed an arrow into the shadows.
FWOOSH!
THUD!
A dull thud followed as the arrow sank into flesh.
But strangely—no beast, no person... nothing emerged. The forest fell silent once more.
Everyone looked around in confusion.
Davis stared at the black woods around them, sweat beading on his forehead as he scanned for any signs of life.
"Awoo..."
"Roooar..."
Low, eerie growls suddenly echoed from nearby.
One by one, clusters of glowing red lights appeared in the dark—like a field of lanterns being lit.
Everyone gasped.
Those weren't lanterns—
They were eyes. Crimson, glowing eyes.
They were surrounded.
Davis steadied himself and whispered, "It's fine. Soul beasts don't have much intelligence. Just release your Martial Souls, kill a few, and break through. They won't dare follow us."
The guards nodded, summoning their Martial Souls. Light filled the forest as soul power surged outward.
But then... their expressions froze.
As the light spread—revealing the forest around them—
They saw it.
Layer upon layer, circle after circle of densely packed, unknown soul beasts had completely encircled them in all directions.
Black as night. Countless. Unending.
