Don't Fall For Me, CEO-Chapter 988: It’s Tomorrow
"July Quinn, if you want to cry, just cry. I’ll pretend I didn’t see it."
After leaving The White Estate, Susan Carter glanced at July Quinn in the passenger seat while driving.
Her eyes were red, but not a single tear had fallen for a long time.
It was just that look of being on the verge of tears that made people’s hearts ache even more.
"Of course, if you need, I can lend you my shoulder."
But July Quinn didn’t respond.
Perhaps because they had spent a long time together, Susan Carter knew this deep silence might be her saddest expression.
Susan thought for a moment and said, "Actually, you know, three-legged toads are hard to find, but there are plenty of two-legged men everywhere. If it really doesn’t work out, you can just find another man."
But despite all kinds of comforting words, July Quinn didn’t seem to be comforted.
She suddenly said, "Take me to the Donovan Family."
She didn’t want to go home.
Because there, are many memories of her and Kyle Keaton.
Going back, she was afraid she couldn’t help but remember all those little moments from the past.
So, being far away was the best.
"Okay."
July Quinn chose to go back home, which made Susan Carter feel more at ease.
At least returning to the Donovan Family, she would have family ties to rely on.

Early the next day, Richard Donovan was pleasantly surprised to learn that July Quinn had returned to the Donovan Family late at night.
Ignoring the urging calls from the cabinet, he rushed straight to July Quinn’s room.
July Quinn was sitting in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, and it was unclear whether she had just woken up or hadn’t slept all night. Regardless, her expression was very blank.
But this didn’t hinder Richard Donovan’s concern: "July, why didn’t you tell me you were coming back last night? I could have had someone make some late-night snacks that you young people like."
He heard that July Quinn had brought friends over last night, so Richard Donovan wanted to warmly welcome them, hoping this friend could say something nice about him to July.
"No, I’m not hungry." July Quinn’s voice sounded a bit hoarse.
After speaking, she coughed a few times.
"Are you sick?"
Richard Donovan rushed over without waiting for July Quinn to respond and checked her forehead.
"It’s burning hot! Why didn’t you say anything?"
But as soon as he finished speaking, he sighed heavily: "It’s also my fault for not taking good care of you."
"It’s nothing, getting sick won’t kill anyone."
July Quinn’s voice was cold and indifferent, as if she wasn’t interested in anything.
"No, knock on wood. I’m going to get the family doctor right now."
July Quinn tried to refuse, but Richard Donovan insisted.
So in the end, she had no choice but to let Richard Donovan call the family doctor.
About half an hour later, the family doctor had finished examining July Quinn.
"39 degrees, a high fever! You need to take your medicine today and make sure to rest well and stay warm."
July Quinn nodded and continued to blankly gaze out the window.
Richard Donovan couldn’t help but frown as he watched this scene.
Although it seemed like July Quinn was more obedient and well-behaved after coming back this time,
he couldn’t tell if it was his imagination, but it seemed July Quinn was completely occupied by her thoughts, like a marionette.
So in the end, Richard Donovan took a day off and stayed home to take care of July Quinn himself.
He had to admit, having Richard Donovan personally take care of her was quite effective.
At least July Quinn was willing to listen to him and take her medication, rest, so by evening her fever had subsided.
"July, if you’re feeling better, why not go downstairs for a walk?"
"Okay."
July Quinn went downstairs and saw Elder Donovan, Evan Zachary, and Yvonne Donovan chatting and watching the news together.
Not in the mood to engage with them, July Quinn intended to turn toward the garden when Elder Donovan suddenly spoke up:
"Since you’re back, just a heads up. Yvonne and Evan’s engagement ceremony has been moved up to tomorrow."
