Chapter 971: Chapter 971: Disemboweled?

"She gutted Mimi, this crazy woman!"

Evan Zachary urgently accused Old Master Donovan.

"What!"

When Old Master Donovan appeared in front of July Quinn with his cane, he saw July calmly applying gauze to Mimi.

"Why can’t you even spare a cat!"

Old Master Donovan harshly criticized.

Yvonne Donovan, after a slight glance, immediately rushed in front of July Quinn and picked up the newly bandaged Mimi.

"Mimi... it’s all my fault, I’ve dragged you into this!"

While Yvonne tearfully complained, she also questioned July, "I’ve told you before, if you have any dissatisfaction, just come at me directly, why take it out on Mimi?" 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

"July Quinn, if you don’t give me a reasonable explanation for this today, we’re not done here!"

Richard Donovan, having finished his work, hurried home, looking forward to having dinner with his beloved daughter, only to find Old Master Donovan, Yvonne Donovan, and Evan Zachary emotionally accusing July when he stepped through the door.

"What’s going on?"

He quickly stepped forward, immediately standing between July and the crowd.

"Can’t you talk this out peacefully? Why block the child outside in the cold wind?"

The sun had set, and the cold wind had become much harsher.

Richard worried that with the cold wind blowing, July might catch a cold.

But as soon as he spoke, Old Master Donovan rebuked him.

"She dissected Yvonne’s cat, yet you’re still concerned about her catching a cold at a time like this?"

"Dad, I know you’re always biased towards July because she’s your biological granddaughter, but you can’t just ignore the fact that she gutted my Mimi, can you?"

Yvonne hugged Mimi, crying her heart out.

Even Evan Zachary accused, "Sir, July is clearly mentally disturbed, to be so cruel to even small animals. Who knows if she might harm humans in the future!"

July slightly narrowed her eyes, finally looking at Richard Donovan.

If he too accused her without understanding the situation, then she’d have no reason to stay here for New Year’s.

Fortunately, under the escalating accusations, Richard only said, "When you are so eager to place blame on July, did you ask her why she did this?"

"Why would she? To get back at me for bringing Yvonne home again!"

Old Master Donovan paused and added, "Anyway, I refuse to believe she did it for Yvonne’s benefit."

Even if July understood medical skills, it was only traditional medicine.

Casually cutting open small animals couldn’t possibly be to save them.

"It’s impossible! July, after all, is your own granddaughter. Can you not throw accusations at her before reaching a conclusion?"

Yvonne tried to say something but hesitated, eventually bowing her head, looking sad and tearful.

Evan Zachary, distressed, held Yvonne in his arms: "Sir, you were biased towards July before, but with what’s happening now, aren’t you afraid of disheartening everyone by continuing to side with her?"

Richard wanted to say more, but at that moment, July slowly removed her bloodstained gloves and stepped out from behind him.

"That cat was bound with a rubber band around its urinary area, and it had been there a long time. It was all adhered together underneath. If it wasn’t cut open, it would suffer a painful death."

"A rubber band? What kind of person would use a rubber band to bind a small animal’s urinary area?" Evan frowned, clearly doubtful of July’s explanation.

Old Master Donovan also remained skeptical of July: "Right, do you have any proof?"

As for Yvonne, she kept her head down, seemingly absorbed completely in her world of sorrow.
