Don't Fall For Me, CEO-Chapter 923: Soul Left Outside
After the hotpot, Roman Kidd offered to take July Quinn home, and she didn’t refuse.
"I didn’t expect someone who seems so proper to be able to handle spicy food so well."
Perhaps because their preferences for the hotpot were almost identical, July Quinn was no longer as resistant to Roman Kidd as before.
On the way back, she even chatted idly with Roman Kidd now and then.
"Who says proper people can’t eat spicy food?"
Roman Kidd and July Quinn sat closely in the cramped backseat, his smile never ceased.
Even the driver, seeing Roman Kidd’s smile in the rearview mirror, felt like their master had been swapped with someone else.
"By the way, I know another great spicy food place. Want to go try it together sometime?"
"Sure, I’ve been wanting a spicy food buddy."
The two chatted aimlessly until Roman Kidd dropped July Quinn off at her house.
Roman Kidd even got out of the car to open the door for July Quinn.
"I’ll be going abroad for a meeting these days. Let’s hit the spicy food place when I get back."
"Sure. I’ll wait for you."
Aside from the extra smile on his face, Roman Kidd wasn’t overly enthusiastic.
After responding, July Quinn gracefully turned and left.
Their actions appeared to be no different from those of friends, quite standard.
But it was only after July Quinn turned away that Roman Kidd’s gaze remained on her, until she vanished completely into the night before he turned to leave.
After watching July Quinn leave, Roman Kidd finally got back into the car.
"Sir, shall we head to the hospital now?" the driver asked.
"No, have the steward call the family doctor," Roman Kidd replied, gently rubbing his stomach, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
Yes, though he ate hotpot, he never chose the spicy flavor as he suffered from a severe stomach problem.
After having just a few bites with July Quinn, he now felt like there was a fire in his stomach.
But he did not regret it. At least, after this hotpot meal, July Quinn wasn’t as averse to him as before...
Roman Kidd thought he had hidden everything perfectly.
Yet he did not know that as his car drove away, a car that had been parked across from the neighborhood entrance also started and slowly entered the area...

"If you’re hungry, find something to eat yourself. I’ve already eaten out," July Quinn mumbled upon seeing Kyle Keaton return home, then continued to lounge on the sofa watching dramas.
The house was heated, and she wore only a T-shirt dress. Her long, straight legs were covered under a blanket.
Yet Kyle Keaton didn’t respond for quite some time.
He stood at the doorway, holding his coat after coming home.
After a while, July Quinn realized something was off, tossed aside the tablet, and asked him, "What’s wrong? Did some vixen outside steal your soul?"
"No."
Kyle Keaton snapped back to reality and responded to July Quinn.
But his reaction was too bland, too abnormal.
According to his usual habits, he should have urgently clarified, aren’t the vixens outside no match for July Quinn?
This made July Quinn even more suspicious that he had found a vixen outside.
Immediately, she tossed aside the blanket and jumped on him, "Saying you didn’t? Your soul’s been stolen outside!"
The long, flawless legs that had been hidden under the blanket were now clearly exposed to Kyle Keaton’s view.
The key was, she had wrapped her arms around Kyle Keaton’s waist...
Kyle Keaton now had no sign of the earlier drowsy look.
He immediately dropped his coat and embraced July Quinn’s waist, turning passive into active.
With practical actions, he showed July Quinn that his soul was still very much with her.
