Before she could finish, Liu Ergou cut her off. "That's enough, Qiu Shui. Say no more," he said, his expression serious. "You're my woman. It's my duty to help you. He then gently placed her on the bed, turned, and strode purposefully out the door, heading straight for the man's company.

Lying on the bed, Zhu Qiushui watched his retreating figure. A deep sense of security washed over her, and with it came a feeling of pure happiness.
