Hearing this, Liu Ergou answered honestly, "She came and recommended herself to me! She said she was incredibly dedicated, so I hired her."

His response earned another eye-roll. "Yeah, right. I totally believe you," Hu Jing said sarcastically, wriggling out of his embrace and walking back toward the cornfield. As she walked, she continued to complain, "You have no idea. Ever since my aunt got here, she's been acting like a queen, doing absolutely nothing. She just sits in the little shed drinking tea all day. If anyone asks her to do anything, she turns into a tigress, like she's about to eat them alive! And that whole story about her being capable and dedicated? That's hilarious! She's not even as useful as I am!"

Hearing this, Liu Ergou's heart sank.
