Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me-Chapter 129: Regret
Leo Joyce could only fall silent in frustration.
"Don’t be angry, Brother. Let’s go." She had to be the first to back down to keep him from fighting Leo Joyce.
"Promise me you won’t come to places like this or see Leo Joyce again, and I won’t be angry."
"Leo Joyce is my friend. I can’t promise you that."
"Amelia Avery, you’re truly hopeless," Aiden Avery said angrily, then turned and stalked away.
Watching her brother go, Amelia Avery sighed. She turned to Leo Joyce and said in a low voice, "Don’t forget what you promised me."
Leo Joyce just smiled without a word, but Amelia Avery knew perfectly well that he always kept his promises. Since he’d agreed, he would definitely see it through...
「An hour later, at the Avery residence.」
Aiden Avery had just sat down when he was startled by frantic knocking at the door.
He frowned, watching their housekeeper, Lane, muttering to herself as she hastily threw on some clothes and went to open the door.
Just then, Amelia Avery, who had been on her way upstairs, paused. She leaned against the banister, a cunning glint in her eyes as she watched the man who burst through the door.
Without a second thought, the man stormed in, yanked Aiden Avery off the sofa, and landed a punch.
"You son of a bitch! How dare you go behind my back and do that to Gia Miller!" Cassian Jennings roared, raising his fist to punch Aiden Avery again.
Amelia Avery raised her arm and hurled her purse straight at Cassian Jennings’s head. "Cassian Jennings, have you lost your mind?! I’m the one who did it. It has nothing to do with my brother."
Struck by the purse, Cassian Jennings froze for a second. Then, with a look of utter disgust, he shoved Aiden Avery away and stalked slowly toward Amelia. "Heh... you two are exactly alike... you’ll do anything to get what you want..." ’God knows how furious I was when I saw that video,’ he thought. ’I wanted to rush over to the Avery’s and kill both of these psychos.’
Amelia Avery suppressed the pain in her heart and gave a mocking laugh. "You’re right. I’m exactly that kind of woman—I’ll do anything to get what I want. I told you you’d regret this, and I’ll make sure you do. You like Gia Miller, don’t you? Fine. I’ll let you see what a slut she really is." ’Even if I’m ruthless,’ she thought, ’I’m still a thousand times cleaner than Gia Miller.’
Amelia Avery’s words thoroughly enraged Cassian Jennings. His eyes red with fury, he raised his hand to strike her.
Amelia Avery didn’t flinch. Instead, she lifted her chin, her gaze still proud as she stared at Cassian Jennings. "Go on! Hit me! I dare you! Cassian Jennings, no matter what, it’s an undeniable fact that Gia Miller slept with someone else. And I’m not just going to let *you* know—I’m going to make sure everyone in the Jennings Family knows, too." ’Let’s see how the Jennings Family can possibly allow Cassian to marry a woman with such loose morals.’
"You... you’ve gone too far, Amelia Avery! Do you really think I wouldn’t dare hit you..." As he spoke, Cassian Jennings’s hand began to descend.
Just then, Aiden Avery rushed over and grabbed Cassian Jennings’s hand. "Cassian Jennings, if you dare touch Amelia, the Avery Family will declare war on the Jennings Family!"
Upon hearing this, Cassian Jennings stiffened. He then gave a mocking laugh and angrily pulled his hand back. "Aiden Avery, this isn’t over!" he roared, then spun around and stormed out.
As Cassian Jennings left, Amelia’s strength gave out, and she crumpled to the floor.
Aiden Avery looked at Amelia and said angrily, "Are you satisfied now?" ’Having a falling out with my best friend for my own sister’s sake...’ In that moment, he felt just as terrible as Cassian.
"Satisfied... Brother, you didn’t think I was just kidding when I said I love Cassian, did you?" ’Everything I said was true. Not a single word was a lie. And I’m still going to send that video to the Jennings Family.’
’What I need to do is make Cassian Jennings regret this!’
’Make him regret it completely... regret framing me... regret humiliating me time and time again for Gia Miller...’ 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
’Cassian wasn’t wrong. I am the kind of person who will do anything to achieve my goals. As long as I can marry him, I’ll do it... even if it means ruining Gia Miller’s life with my own two hands...’
