As Lenny stepped into the Interrogation room, chilled cold seeped through his flesh.

His heart raced, his eyes blurred and he stumbled.

His body shook, causing him to collaspe on his knees.

Lenny shivered, Corinthian watched.

He wasn’t affected yet he did nothing.

Why?

The answer was simple, Lenny’s life wasn’t threatened in the first place.

This was a mind attack.

To weaken Lenny’s mind and bring him into a state of vulnerability, to demand answers.

"Arggh" A loud growl was heard, Lenny’s eyes opened to see himself sitted, strapped to a chair.

He was chained, preventing him from any rash actions, naturally Lenny would have found his state provocative.

He would have rashed out.

But he was calm.

He was gentle.

He smiled as he watched them, this time....

Augustus von Venus wasn’t alone as three more Fallen Regulators stood before him.

They were all Rank 3 Fallen Regulators.

Augustus being a Rank 4 Fallen Regulator was naturally their leader, a titled General in the society.

As their eyes met, Augustus smiles "Hello Lenny" He spoke.

Lenny giggled, "Since I’m awake, I guess the investigation is about to begin" He spoke calmly.

"Oh?" A young lady spoke, she’s the Rank 3 Fallen Regulator who stood by Augustus right hand. "Shouldn’t you be nervous, scared?" She asked.

Lenny scoffed, "Why should I be? As long as i won’t be dying today, I don’t care what happens next" He smiled.

He was mostly calm and articulated because Corinthian stood behind them.

His arms folded as he watched, completely unseen by their gaze.

Augustus took a deep breath, "Mr. Night, sorry we had to put you in a position like this...."

"But we need to be careful, in this Regulator’s society....."

"Any mistake is fatal, and deathly as well" He explains and Lenny chuckles, "Well it doesn’t matter"

"Let’s begin" He sighed.

Augustus nods and he faces his companion, she stepped forward, a woman filled with pride.

Lenny watches quietly, "She’s a Mindcrafter?" He asks.

Augustus nods "Yes, and her rune class is quite special I must say, she possess the ability to detect lies"

"That is her primary Fallen Rune, a Special rank Fallen Rune" Augustus announced with pride.

Lenny smiled, "Well that’s cool" He closed his eyes, "Get started already"

Augustus gestured and she stepped forward, the young lady cut her palm and she bled.

She locked eyes with Lenny, her eyes shimmered.

"I will begin with my first question" Her voice reverberated through the air.

Lenny nods, "Sure"

She paused for a second, "Did you kill the K&B party?" She asks.

Lenny knew how the Regulator’s society works so he understood he was being watched.

The Grandmaster of the Tempest Glory Guild, Amyruis was watching from his office.

He had to bridle his tongue, to control what he let them know.

Lenny shook his head, "I did not kill the K&B party" He answered.

The young lady tilt her head, she faced Augustus and nods.

Lenny speaks the truth.

She continues, "Second question, did you kill the second Rank 2 Fallen Regulator in the D-tier Dungeon?" She asked.

Lenny nods, "Yes, but I wouldn’t call it a kill since that wasn’t her exactly....she wouldn’t have come with her true body" Lenny explained.

Augustus raised an eyebrow "What do you meant by that?" He asked.

Lenny chuckled "Don’t act like you’re not aware, Augustus....the Great Houses should know" He stated.

Augustus frowns "The Great Houses should know about what?" He was curious, anxious to know.

Lenny smiled, "That the enemies of the Great House Night would surely come for me, I was warned by the Government"

Augustus sighed, "And who is they?" He asked.

"The Den of Thieves" Lenny answered.

Augustus glanced at the Mindcrafter and she nods, Lenny speaks the truth once again.

"The Den of Thieves eh?" Augustus muttered, He bit his lips "Those ascursed bastards are really determined" He cursed.

Lenny chuckled "Why are you shocked?" He curiously asked.

Augustus raised an eyebrow "What do you meant by that? Why shouldn’t I be shocked?"

Lenny lay back, "You should have been taught history, a noble shouldn’t be so naive"

"The Regulator’s society is not righteous and should never be, my father, a Rank 9 Fallen Regulator is dead"

"I lost my protection and she still has hers, the ruler of Greed still lives and he reigns as a Rank 9 Fallen Regulator"

"It won’t be long till death visits me once again" He smiled.

Augustus was in disbelief "To think I would be lectured by a child" He lets out a self depreciating laughter, "You are too matured for your age boy"

Lenny shrugged, "When you’re sealed in a cage for seven years, when you watch your people die and you bath in your parents blood"

"You will surely be forced into maturity" He sighed.

Augustus watched Lenny for a few minutes, "The thieves seeks your life, why are you so calm?" He asked.

Lenny grinned, "Because I am" He answered, "I beat their heiress, let them send another"

"I’ll beat them as well" He bragged, "Even if they send a thief?" Augustus asked.

Lenny scoffed, "Thief or not, what does it matter?"

Lenny brags, but they know he speaks the truth.

His eyes belongs to those that do not fear.

Augustus nods and he signalled the Mindcrafter to continue, she did.

"What happened in that D-tier Dungeon?" She asked.

Lenny breathed in deeply "First and foremost, it’s name is the Labyrinth of Ashura"

"The K&B party employed me into the Telvian Sanctuary for this raid expedition"

"It was meant to be a secret operation, they cheat me and you used me for bait"

"I was meant to attack a Level 7 Wanderer on my own while they took care of his twin Level 8 Wanderer"

"How could a Rank 1 Fallen Regulator fight against a Level 7 Wanderer?" He asks, "So they employed her, she was a thief sent to kill me"

"But she wasn’t alone as she sneaked in others into the Labyrinth"

"They attacked me but I escaped, I have no idea what killed them later and can’t explain"

"She kills the Level 7 Wanderer rank Apocalypse creature and we fought, she is strong"

"I managed to kill her avatar and she fled, during the battle.... something own killed the K&B party" He explained.

As Lenny mentioned the K&B party, he noticed the evil grin that appeared on Corinthian’s lips.

’What’s this bastard thinking?’ Lenny wondered.

The Mindcrafter tilts once again, she nods at Augustus.

Augustus sighed "I guess we have gotten the full truth of the matter, you are innocent and no charges will befall you"

"But the banishment from the Telvian Sanctuary still remains solid"

"This was a decision made by the Buijun Guild and we can’t interfere with personal matters"

Augustus announced, he steps forward "Starting now, you will be approved by the Regulator’s Association"

"Welcome to the Association Mr. Night" Augustus said with a smile, he stretched forth his hand.

Lenny glanced at him lazily, he was still chained to the chair.

He summoned his shadow familiar before their eyes and his chains was broken by the familiar.

His shadow familiar has the strength of a Level 1 Wanderer.

It’s stronger than the chains.

They watched in amusement but they do not stop him as Lenny slowly rose up the chair.

He smirked at Augustus "Thank you for approving me as the representative from the Association"

"I know you lots watches me from your domains" He raised his head as he glares at nothing, "All I can tell you lots is FUCK YOUU"

Lenny then faced Augustus once again, "I will be off then" He turned to leave, no one stops him.

Augustus giggles, "Such a kid, it seems the Nights truly are yet to fall!" He smiled.

An airplane lands safely in the Crescent International Airport, the door opens and passages climbs the stairs down.

She follows.

Crystal’s silver hair was smooth and soften, her skin pale but porcelain, her face pale but beautiful.

Her golden eyes glowed, she suffers but she smiles.

The corruption in her soul spreads but slowly, it didn’t take long for her to be sent to the Evernight City.

The Cult of Greed weren’t just powerful but also massively wealthy as well.

They had multiple connections in the Regulator’s society, infiltrating the Evernight City wasn’t easy.

But it wasn’t impossible to them either.

She grins "I hear Lenny Night is currently in this city, I should send him a gift while I’m here"

She chuckles, her heart filled with unbridled hatred towards the man who corrupts her soul.
