Chapter 315: Wrath part 2

"Five..." Casper began his count, looking around slowly.

’Yanke, you can see everything I am seeing right?’ Casper asked.

’Yes, Master.’

’If I let something pass unnoticed, then tell me if you spot it. Understood?’

’Yes, Master. I w-will do my very best.’ Yanke discovered that day two different emotions that he never felt before.

For being connected with Casper’s mind, he could see how wrath worked, how it corrupted humans inside out, and how their thoughts and inner feelings got corrupted by that as if it was ink being poured on water.

The other feeling that he felt was... fear. He already felt anxious before when Casper went crazy because he knew about his past. However, now it was different. Seeing how his master’s mind was all messy and the types of thoughts he was having, Yanke could only feel fear.

The little robot never knew exactly what to think about his Master. He was fond of him and liked to help him in any kind of way. However, if he would express his opinion about Casper, it surely would be quite bland.

He knew a lot of things about him, but he couldn’t understand him completely as an individual human being. The White warrior was the man who created him, point.

Nonetheless, while facing that situation, he was starting to comprehend him better. It was in the furious state of his master that he could find answers about who he really was.

’My Master is, right now, really... evil.’

There was something that humans could use as a filter when someone was doing something bad for other humans. It was called justice. When a person did something bad to someone who did the same before, it was seen with good eyes. Of course, it depended on the situation, but it was mostly like this.

Nevertheless, Yanke didn’t have this filter. He didn’t have a sense of justice. He couldn’t even know if he had the right to judge other humans, or if other humans themselves had the right to do so.

"Four..." Casper continued as the time passed in slow motion for every single person who was inside the throne room.

Another thing that Yanke noticed in his master’s behavior was that he wasn’t expecting that someone would intervene and make him stop the count, showing him where Camilla was. Actually, he was excited for the count to end. His heart couldn’t beat faster in anticipation than it already was.

"Three..." Casper began to give steps forward. His very being was becoming darker and darker.

He took the black mask from his waist and put it on his face. At that moment, just like Camilla had created her own persona to show all her craziness in its pure state, Casper did the same, but to show all the wrath and frustration inside him, instead.

"Two..."

’Yanke, help me as you can, I am going at full force.’

’Master, I am preparing things to teleport all of you, except the King and the Queen, outside this palace. It will be ready in some minutes.’ That was the first time that Yanke was against an order of his Master.

Casper never programmed him to be his slave. He raised him completely like a child, so he had no restrictions. He was a completely free being.

"One..." The soldier bent his knees, preparing himself.

’How much time do I have until you finish?’ Casper decided to be a bit more reasonable.

’Two or three minutes until I can teleport all of you at once.’

’Enough.’ 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

The soldier began to run toward the crowd of Frelsis. They were already prepared, holding their guns and being cautious to any approach.

Casper got near one of the Frelsi before he could pull his trigger. Swiftly, he twisted his arm, nearly dislocating his shoulder. The man yelled in pain while dropping his pistol.

That Frelsi tried to back away, but Casper held his arm tightly, taking his gun and shooting him on the head.

Brief, straight, relentless. These were the adjectives to that attack. All the Frelsis went pale when seeing such a carefree action even though he was surrounded by armed people.

The soldier finished by stealing the machete on his waist.

The Frelsis were questioning themselves why they weren’t just shooting at him. If that was anyone else attacking, he would be already all covered with holes, probably exploded, and reduced to dust.

The soldier was just standing in the middle of that crowd. He wasn’t moving at all. Just his eyes were passing through that place and analyzing coldly that situation. Even so, the Frelsis were giving short steps away from him as if he had some kind of contagious disease.

Everyone knew what was happening there, but they couldn’t accept that this kind of thing was real. That effect would last probably for just some time more, soon they would be able to retaliate.

However, nobody could deny that, in those few seconds, everyone was paralyzed by that man. It was called intimidation. And at that moment, Casper seemed like a demon walking among humans.

Casper knew that, just with the little equipment he had, he wouldn’t be able to keep alive for too much time. Also, even though he intended to slaughter those people, he still needed to hold them to give Yanke the right time to teleport everyone.

He looked to the Frelsi’s body beside his feet and crouched casually, taking another thing from his corpse.

His expression stayed unshakable as held a syringe beside his arm. It had an orange liquid inside it that seemed quite dense.

All people in that room knew what it was.

’Berserker... Are you sure, Master?’ Yanke asked, cautiously.

’You can hold my consciousness, Yanke? I know that people lose control while using this, but I don’t want to. I need to stay focused and stronger at the same time. Can you do it, even though you are already working on the teleport?’

Yanke hesitated for a while, but he knew that Casper would die if he didn’t do so. The White Warrior would need more than just intimidation to beat those guys for enough time.

’Yes. Count on me.’
