Noa was already driving off when he noticed someone approaching Hana. Though he couldn’t make out her face, he had a sudden urge to jump out of the car and protect his sister.

No one should make Hana uncomfortable.

And he, as her older brother, was the only one who could make sure she wouldn’t get bullied.

But before he stopped the car, Noa thought of something.

Not only would he embarrass Hana if he made a scene like an unreasonable adult, but he might also make the situation even worse.

What’s more, he wasn’t sure what was going on in the first place.

Panic was the root of evil, but thankfully, he was slowly getting used to controlling his emotions.

He also wanted to allow Hana to grow.

Yes, having an older brother with shining armor protecting you was good, but it would also make her vulnerable when he wasn’t around.

Being dependent on him was cool and everything, but she should be able to handle herself as well.

With that in mind, Noa held himself back.

He left the surrounding area, trying not to think too much about it. Trusting her was also part of loving her.

Being jobless, he was left with time he had no idea what to do with. He had no friends, no colleagues, or even acquaintances he could call and hang out with, either.

The only person willing to spend their time with him was his sister, and she was in school right now.

Boredom wasn’t easy to cure at all.

With no debts to pay, no work to do, and more than 10 hours before the streaming period, Noa had nothing better to do.

It would even be at the top of his priority list. Just imagining a spacious home where the siblings could spend time together, maybe even invite guests, and fill it with laughter, made Noa’s heart ache with longing.

The urge came suddenly.

Of course, he had dreamed of it before. But just thinking about it was too hard for him, let alone actually doing it.

Fortunately, he was no longer living the same life.

What felt like a distant dream now felt like a close reality he could actually reach. However, it wouldn’t be easy. The future wasn’t guaranteed, and Noa had to try hard.

Knowing this, he wanted to use the system and also start connecting with people.

’Two birds with one stone, huh?’ he lamented and reached into his pocket.

From there, he took out a card. It was no ordinary card meant for terminals. Though made of special metal, it was a business card with the name Clara Carter engraved on it.

She was the same woman accompanying James to his meeting.

Just like Noa, she had also shown disdain towards the man. On top of that, she handed Noa the card and requested a meeting while claiming that she had something to discuss.

Having nothing better to do, Noa thought about giving her a call.

But first, he had to stop the car.

So he quickly searched for the café nearby and parked with careful precision. The only drinks he had since striking big were orange juice, a couple of sodas, and an expensive wine.

Now he wanted to sip on a latte or any other coffee rich people loved to drink.

Paying $12 for one drink was beyond reason for him. But he still allowed himself to indulge and dialed the number.

Clara was surprised when she got a call from an unknown number.

She was even more starstruck upon hearing who this unknown caller was. Noa spoke politely with her, but not too much. It was just part of basic courtesy, while also keeping his pride intact.

When she heard Noa was in a café and down for a meeting, she asked for the location and promised to meet with him shortly.

Meanwhile, the coffee Noa ordered was served at his table.

He took a quick whiff first, trying to judge the difference between instant coffee and this one. To his surprise, the contrast couldn’t be clearer.

The aroma coming from the cup was sharper. It wasn’t just that.

The beans used for it were of higher quality, ensuring a scent so rich he wanted to try it right away.

So he did it and let his lips touch the hot drink. It was bitter, yes, but there was so much more. The citrus made the drink taste fresher, almost leaving a warm and cold taste at the same time.

’It’s good,’ he exclaimed.

For the next few minutes, Noa was enjoying his drink. But by the end of it, he had to admit that alcohol was far more delicious to drink. It also had a certain vibe to it, enhancing the drinking experience.

’Did the chat affect me?’ he thought with a smile and waited for Clara’s arrival.

The woman fulfilled her promise and arrived swiftly.

With elegance and a calm demeanor, she approached Noa and extended her delicate hand with a warm smile. "I am glad you contacted me. I thought you threw my card away."

Keeping his composure in check, Noa stood and shook her hand. "Well, I had some free time, so I figured I might as well speak with you."

Clara chuckled.

Her voice was refined, her long blonde hair unable to hide her pretty face.

But before she even took a seat, Noa scanned her coldly, not hiding his suspicion and alertness. "What did you want to talk about?"
