Devilish secretary-Chapter 350 Inner world
Chapter 350: Chapter 350 Inner world
After a few more minutes of small talk, Lilith finally found a way to excuse herself. She stood up calmly, holding her script, and nodded politely at Krystal.
"I’ll go check something on set," she said softly.
Krystal gave her that same charming smile and waved her off like a proud teacher letting her favorite student go play.
Lilith walked away without looking back.
She needed space. Air.
Just five minutes without someone hovering over her.
But she hadn’t even taken ten steps before Nina appeared from the other side, full of energy and bouncing like she had a secret.
"There you are!" Nina said, catching up to her. "Lucky you!"
Lilith didn’t stop walking.
Nina matched her pace and leaned closer.
"Senior KK likes you!" she said with a grin. "She doesn’t talk to anyone that long. She even said you’re cute!"
Lilith didn’t say anything. Not even a smile.
She kept walking, script still clutched in one hand, her other hand brushing through her hair in a tired motion.
Nina noticed the silence and blinked.
"You’re not excited?" she asked.
Lilith’s eyes stared straight ahead.
She wasn’t thinking about Krystal Knight.
She was thinking about a man who hadn’t messaged her in weeks.
"Just tried," Lilith replied
"Oh you should take rest," Nina said looking worried.
After her scene wrapped up, Lilith changed out of costume, packed her things, and quietly left the studio. The sun had already gone down, and the air was cooler, calm.
Her body was tired, but her mind was still running.
No reply.
No call.
She reached the hotel entrance, her steps quiet and quick. Her only plan was to take a hot shower, lie down, and forget the world for a few hours.
But just as she turned the hallway near the elevator—
She crashed into someone.
Hard.
Her bag fell from her hand, her phone nearly slipped from her fingers.
"Whoa—look where you’re going!" a deep, playful voice said, followed by a light chuckle. "Seeing a handsome man and walking straight into him? That’s bold."
Lilith blinked and slowly raised her head.
The man in front of her was tall, broad-shouldered, with sharp features and messy dark hair. He had a mischievous smile on his lips and a relaxed posture, like he owned the hallway.
He looked... handsome.
Very handsome.
But Lilith wasn’t in the mood.
"Sorry," she said calmly, picking up her bag and walking past him like nothing happened.
She didn’t even glance back.
The man—Kai watched her walk away.
His smile slowly faded and his eyes narrowed.
"Wait," he called out.
Lilith stopped.
She turned back slowly, her expression unreadable.
Kai’s eyes met hers and for a second, he forgot what he was about to say. freёweɓnovel.com
Even with half her face covered by a mask, she looked stunning.
Her long dark hair fell softly over her shoulders, her posture elegant even when she was tired. And those gorgeous blue eyes..cold, clear, and distant held something that made him stare longer than he should have.
He was sure now.
She was Lilith Parker.
"I’m actually the one who should say sorry," Kai said, softening his tone. "I was distracted... I didn’t mean to bump into you."
Lilith stayed silent.
Kai smiled, a little more charming now. "How about dinner? To make up for it?"
He stepped closer and stood in front of her, holding her gaze, trying to read what was behind those eyes.
Lilith tilted her head slightly, her eyes calm and distant.
"I’m not interested," she said, voice soft but sharp.
Then she turned around and walked away without waiting for a reply.
Her steps were steady. Unbothered.
She didn’t even glance back.
Kai stood there, watching her figure disappear down the hallway.
His smile didn’t fade this time. In fact, it grew a little. He folded his arms across his chest and chuckled under his breath.
"Interesting," he said softly to himself, eyes still on the spot where she vanished.
"She’s not like the others."

DID, or Dissociative Identity Disorder, was rare. Many people had heard the term before, but very few truly understood what it meant. It wasn’t just about having more than one personality.
It was dangerous.
Not because the personalities or alters were evil or violent.
But because the condition itself came from deep, unbearable trauma.
Inside the mind of a DID patient, there was something called the "inner world"—a mental space where each personality lived, spoke, and existed when they weren’t the one in control of the body.
But sometimes...
That inner world could collapse.
It happened when one alter was forced to remember something painful...something the system wasn’t ready for. When that memory or emotion became too heavy, the personality carrying it could break under pressure.
And if it was bad enough...
Every alter could shut down at once.
The body would enter a complete lockdown.
No host.
No protector.
No child alter.
No voice.
Nobody would be "in the front."
Nobody would be "driving the body."
It would become... empty.

Assistant Quinn sat in the private hospital room, staring at the still body lying in the bed. The machines beeped softly, keeping track of his boss’s heartbeat. It hadn’t stopped. He was alive.
But his eyes wouldn’t open. He didn’t respond to voices. He didn’t even twitch.
Quinn couldn’t believe it. Just two weeks ago, his boss was giving him orders like always sharp, clear, confident. And now?
He was just... gone.
His voice came out small. "When will he wake up...?" Quinn asked the doctor standing nearby. His throat was dry. "How long will it take?"
The doctor sighed quietly, not giving a clear answer.
"It depends."
That didn’t help.
Quinn looked down at his phone—the message from him still fresh.
The last message before everything fell apart.
"Call Atlas. If anything happens—don’t call Lilith. Just call Atlas."
So Quinn did.
He didn’t ask questions. He called the number saved in his boss’s contact under the name Atlas, and within hours, a team had arrived. Not doctors from a normal hospital but people who clearly knew what this was.
